This is an update on the review I posted last month of 0-1 star. After being stood up twice by the company, one of the managers, Sam, reached out to my husband and offered his sincere apologies. Reasons for the two failed appointments were given and he assured us that the company would make up for its lack of follow up. They did not disappoint. They provided a prompt estimate of the work that offered an honest discount, acknowledging their error. They called often to follow up and promised us impeccable service. My husband and I decided to give the company a third chance and an opportunity to amend. They scheduled the installation day promptly, showed up right on the dot, were respectful during the job, cleaned up and finished promptly, and Sam once again followed up after the job was complete. We plan on trying the shower tonight, but as far as we can tell the job was performed well. In my opinion, the company deserves 4 stars. One being removed because the second failed appointment shouldn't have happened... but they really came through and seemed genuinely apologetic about their errors and concerned about their customer satisfaction. We would be willing to try them again for a future job and recommend simply verifying that they will keep their appointment! I'm glad we gave them a third chance. Mistakes at every phase of this project: Design, Ordering, scheduling, and installation. Be prepared to handhold these guys every step of the way and double check every thing they propose. Incorrect CAD drawing (numbers didn't add up), disorganized customer support ("We'll call you back" but no call-back, multiple times), missed installation appointments with no warning (I had to take extra time off work to accomodate), missing parts in the final installation (sliding glass was directly in contact with stone and would have easily shattered). Took about 2 months start to finish. Everyone was very nice, but a lot of mistakes were made, indicating poor quality control throughout the overall process. Don't use these guys unless you're willing to do a lot of babysitting. read more

Payed for a custom glass piece ($400 plus) and have called and emailed several times to get an order update. No response. Voice mailbox full. Very frustrating and very poor customer service. Buyer beware. Update: After posting this review, I did get calls from a service representative and her manager. They apologized profusely and gave me the update I was looking for. Read the fine print with this unscrupulous business! My contractor took a while to get to the mirror, and when we opened the crate, the mirror was in a million pieces. I reached out to Dulles customer service, and they told me they wouldn't help me in any way because it took more than 14 days to report the breakage. Terrible customer service, and I'm out $1350. Extremely disreputable merchant. I ordered 8 dollars worth of glass and before it was shipped decided I could find the glass locally at a cheaper price. I called Dullas Glass and canceled the order and was informed the cancelation was accepted. They shipped the order anyway and charged me 92 dollars. When I disputed the charge with my credit card company they defended the order and I was charged. Very dishonest!! read more

I contacted Dulles Glass for a quote for shower glass for my new bathroom. They sent someone to measure but then wanted to charge me extra (over $100) to make a cardboard template to make sure they measured right! Then their price was $800 higher than my other quote. Don't bother calling them. read more

I had a frameless shower enclosure installed by them two years ago. They are at the higher end of the cost range, but they were willing to negotiate. If you don't get any discount from them, you aren't trying hard enough. At the very least insist on the coating protection for free. The quality is excellent, although I had to have them come out twice for some adjustments. But their customer service is top notch so I didn't have any issues on that account. Some of the plastic started to disintegrate, as is normal for these products and he told me what to order and how to install it. I wholeheartedly recommend them. read more

I have used Reston Glass before and love them. I googled them today and Dulles Glass comes up because they have Reston Custom Glass in their title. So I called the number thinking I was getting Reston Glass but it is Dulles Glass. That is a very shady way to get customers from your competitor. Shameful. read more

We had a great experience - we'd tried installing two glass shower doors on our own without any luck before calling Dulles Glass & Mirror. Turns out that our door frame was wider in the middle than at the top/ bottom, so we needed a custom door. Dulles Glass came out and measured and cut our door to fit perfectly. The door was supposed to take five days to be custom made, but they finished it ahead of schedule and kept us updated at every step. They were prompt, easy to get in touch with, and clean, well priced, and very professional. Would definitely recommend them! read more

don't ever try to buy anything from them they are scam and they charged my credit card twice and they didn't deliver my glass.

I just received my order of three rectangular glass for 2 end tables and 1 dresser and each piece came in between 1/16 to 1/8 too wide/long. They call this industry standard, but I call it sloppy workmanship. I did go back and read their FAQ's and I did read after the fact that their tolerance was plus or minus 1/8 inch so my order was within their posted tolerance, but 1/8 inch is excessive nonetheless. My first order a couple of years ago were all spot on, but not in this case so they have gone from precise to sloppy in two years. All stick out over the ends an unacceptable amount which is enough for someone to catch on a piece of clothing. I was offered a 35% discount on a subsequent order, but since there will not be one it was not much of an offer at all. I will say they did a great job packing it though. One might consider ordering on the small side, but then you may get bitten the other way around. I will be going to a local glass shop in the near future and will not order again from Dulles. They may have what they call an acceptable tolerance, but I have what I consider an unacceptable tolerance for sloppy. read more
