Wow, I seriously was blown away with our experience! A few of us from work decided to have lunch prior to shopping for a child we "adopted" for our work Angel Tree. The waitress was super friendly. The food was unbelievably delicious! There were four of us in our party and we ALL loved the food! One of my friends eats very, very spicy food. She asked for the level 5 (the absolute hottest) but was not expecting much heat. She LOVED it, and she didn't even have to add hot sauce. Great place for lunch, albeit it is very popular, so there might be a wait depending on the time. The food is served fresh and very fast, so if you've got to dine and dash, this is the place for you. I went in at just past 1.30 PM so there was no wait time and we were quickly seated and had our food and drink orders taken together. My thai tea done with boba (bubble tea style) was excellent. Although next time, I'd specify to not add any ice because the layer it forms at the bottom of the glass becomes thick enough to hinder getting at the last few delicious black pearls :( The food came quickly after. The lunch portions are big enough to stave off hunger, but small enough to stave off a food coma. I opted for a basil fried rice done as a combination, in this case it included beef, chicken and shrimp. On the heat scale of 5, I went for a 3 and it's manageable even for a heat wimp like me. It's got enough heat without overtaking your palate. I should've kept out of the dried chili flakes and chili sauce condiments on the table, I was panting and reaching for more tea when I did try them. When I worked in Irving back in 2015, I would order lunch from here at least once a week. I would usually rotate between the Sriracha Basil Fried Rice, Chicken Green Curry and Pad Thai. All great dishes. The Sriracha Fried Rice had a smokey char flavor which went well with the spicy sriracha sauce and tender chicken. The green curry was bursting with flavor. It would have big chunks of chicken and veggies and I would ask for extra jasmine rice to sop up all the curry goodness. The Pad Thai is a must for any first-timer to Thai cuisine. It has the perfect balance of sweet, salty, sour and savory. It was always packed in a way to ensure keep the dish as hot as possible. Then I would top all that food with a Thai Tea or a boba slush (mango or avocado). I'm not sure if they still have any of these dishes/drinks, but I wanted to write this review to keep a record of how I remember this location. BUT, I know what I like and THIS food was GREAT!! This establishment is great! I ordered the Mango Chicken which is breaded chicken stir fried with mango, carrot, broccoli, sweet red bell pepper, onions, mushrooms and tomatoes. The carrots were artistically carves and sliced making for a very appealing look! The vegetables and fruit were all diced big enough to taste, but not over power the chicken's great flavor! The overall color and texture was mouth wateringly wonderful! The steamed rice was surprising flavorful and great texture, not dry and an aroma that made it difficult to put down! The other great attraction to this meal was the dessert. I'm normally not a huge mango fan and wasn't sure I'd like the Sticky Rice with Mango. The sticky rice (oh my did I love that for my first time) was GREAT and the mango was heavenly! The sprinkled sesame seeds added to appearance, flavor and texture! I asked why should I pay for something that I found completely unacceptable. They finally got the owner on the phone, and the owner agreed to remove the item. Visited Thai Tea for the first time on my lunch break today after getting some gas. I wanted some Thai boba tea and veggie spring rolls. The Thai boba tea was amazing! It was sweet and had a good amount of boba at the bottom, and it was a solid portion. The spring rolls were very fresh and had a lot of flavor. The sauce that came with it is sweeter which is always my preference with spring rolls. My only critique is that I wish they gave more sauce! I work close to here so this is a restaurant my entire company frequents. It's very popular for lunch so if you want to be in and out you need to get there before noon. Food is always good. I love the pad Thai with chicken, the basil chicken, and the green curry with chicken. The bubble tea slushes are my favorite. If you don't want a sweet bubble tea, everyone loves the taro slush. All the appetizers are also amazing and I did try (for the first time today) their pho which was also very tasty. I love Thai food, and my job lets me sample food all across the US. I am stuck in a bit of a rut, always ordering Tom Ka soup and either Red Curry or Pad Thai. Really good pad Thai and fried rice. The sticky rice was good as well. You don't get the "normal" obscene amount of food. It's like 1/2 of what you usually get at other places. It was $29 for 2 meals and Sticky rice delivered through grub hub. Delivery was fast and food came just as we ordered. Decided to order a pickup order for lunch. The online ordering was easy to use / navigate. When I arrived to pick up, the receptionist at the register did not seem like she wanted to be there. The veggies in this and my other dish looked and tasted like they were from the frozen veggies section of the supermarket and the shrimp was pretty gross. I just tried this place for the first time, I ordered delivery early Wednesday afternoon. Therefore this review is only on the food and doesn't speak to service or atmosphere. I got the Thai T Sampler for $14.95 and a side of fried rice for $2.50 (steamed rice or noodles are only $1.50). The menu was pretty varied with specialties, sushi, wings, and both Chinese and Thai dishes. Therefore, the sampler seemed like the best option to decide if I liked this place and I was very pleased that everything arrived nice and hot. The sampler included 2 each of pot stickers, egg rolls, tofu, fried dumplings, crab Rangoon, shrimp in blankets and chicken satay, no substitutions. The crispy egg rolls had shredded chicken, carrots, cabbage and glass noodles. They were fried well, but a little bland for my taste. The fried pot sticker was chicken, I'm used to pork, but it was really good! I found it to be flavorful and pan fried nicely. The crab rangoon was very large and very crispy, with cream cheese and diced veggies. It was very hot so it oozed out, I wish I had let it cool so it would have been easier to eat but this was by far the tastiest of all the options. The fried tofu was mushy and tasted like nothing, I couldn't readily identify it and had to go back and look at the menu. I didn't like it at all, not a fan of mushy. The shrimp in a blanket was crispy and had bacon and shrimp inside. I thought it tasted good and that the bacon was a nice touch. The tulip dumplings tasted like shrimp but had a pasty consistency covered in a grilled breading of some sort. I'm a texture person so I found this unappetizing and only took two bites. The chicken satay was tender and mid grade in the ranking of chicken satay, not the best but I have had sooo much worse. They had all the sauces on the side which I appreciate and the peanut sauce was okay but I REALLY liked their cucumber salad. It had a subtle sweetness and a little bite and I was amused by the cut, reminded me of those crazy pattern scissors when you did art projects as a kid. Overall, a great sampling of items and the portion was large so I split it with a coworker. It would be nice to have a smaller version as that would make a nice and varied lunch. I have yet to try any of their entrees but most of their appetizers are pretty good based on that sampler. The fried rice was a decent portion and pretty good. This was close to a 4 star experience on food so I am rounding up for now as I got my moneys worth and some tasty food to share. I look forward to trying some additional items. read more
