I didn't think it was more cafeteria style but that's not a big deal. This is not your typical American Chinese cuisine. It's more authentic and very delicious. The wonton soup had a very different flavor and loaded with little dumplings. Very good The place is basically a dumpling heaven. So many choices. Super upsetting to write this as the food has been amazing in the past. Ordered to dine in, Shanghai soup dumpling and beef fried dumpling. My baby was upset, so I requested my order to go. I get home, immediately go to take a bite of the beef fried dumpling and a hair is pulled from my mouth. I have short dirty blonde hair. This hair, was black and very long. I called them immediately to let them know, and they stated I'd have to come back for a refund. I offered to send a picture as I left because an upset baby, he stated he knew who I was. Proceeded to tell me their chef is bald. It's extremely disrespectful to disregard what a patron is telling you. You'd admitted you remembered I was just in the restaurant.. So here is a photo of my pan hair beef fried dumpling. The hair was fried... into.. the dumpling. Dumpling King is set up like a fast food restaurant. You order the food at the register then you wait for your food in the dining room. The employees were polite and friendly. Now for the nitty gritty. The food is just average for Asian food. No more, no less. It is Asian fast food but it was not fast at all. The service was slow and the food came out piecemeal. Some of my party was finished eating before I even got my dumplings. You can see the kitchen from the dining room and not one person was wearing a hairnet or gloves for that matter. read more

My 2nd visit, seems a slide downhill. The food is a 3.5 to 3, but it's killed by the TERRIBLE service, hence my 2. We spent $70 on 5 items and waited 40 minutes for TO GO. Sadly we sat at counter area and a guy said...yep its good but always 40.min. somehow they missed the point of fresh and fast! Dumplings shoukd be fast, fresh but FAST! The scallions pancake was stone cold and thin, fried hard, the pan fried dumplings were hot. Wings cold. All cooked out of sequence, so a just a big $70 sadness and I waited while my butt hurt on their tiny bar stools.. A waiter came to me and said" I'm sorry you been here a long time, you want a gift card." I said. Give my daughter a 2nd tea. Didn't want free, I wanted it right. I wanted a manager to care. I tried to order online, could not, system was down. Some concepts are great but they fail to deliver. The tall manager seemed lost. He was wandering around looking at his people scrambling, then he looked into my eyes 2x and looked away. Shame. I shot him a very sad look. The other customer said ....eat in ..its faster. I SAW that, tables were eating but somecwere sitting and waiting. I wanted to bring people here but will pass for now. After $150 in. I spent $70 each time, and waited 30 min first time, 40 min this time. I think I'm good to pass! There's nothing here that you can't get elsewhere. Also the honey wings were blah! And a strange order which is usually DIRTY GREASE. Alot of dirty dining places have that funk on fried food. I ate one but could taste the dirty grease. I'm probably too up om food since I ear everywhere. So I can tell dirty, clean etc. Now the dumplings are bigger, weather, and dough has a nice chew. So they are a step above average BUT they are not spectacular enough for 40 min wait lol! Another observation: the kitchen isn't setup to win. They are pan frying dumplings in tiny fryers, takes too long. They can't get the food out fast enough together as a table! I was excited for this place in Coral Springs and my advice. Go early before they get under pressure. We went at 2pm on a Sunday. The food runners seem on point but kitchen is not organized. I was watching them and they are not firing orders together. They have no computer screens, just tickets, so the fry guy can't see when dumpling guy is ready. You see tables sitting, looking lost. You saw sad tables! South Florida is a tough market so unsure if this will last. Tasty dumplings wrapped in crappy service may not fly for long. College students in Davie with no life can wait, professionals can't. On the weekends you can't get fried rice. Only Mon to Fri so that's different. Wish them the best but I will pass until I can get there when doors open, or I can go sit at the 5 other dumpling spots nearby with no wait! read more

Disappointed. This is not an authentic dim sum spot, they're just a franchise trying to make money off of dumplings now being "in". I can say the chicken wings and boba were good, everything else - soup dumplings, curry beef rice noodle soup, and gyoza was not good. The noodle soup especially was horrible, even the soy sauce & vinegar mix. I asked for regular soy sauce ...they gave me Chinese take out soy sauce packets :| The restaurant was very dirty. Service wasnt great either except for one young server that was trying her best to help. I'll stick with Serious Sanji Dumplings until a Nan Xiang opens near us. I am not a competitor. This is an honest review and helping those looking for alternatives. read more

It is not the same Soup Dumplings before pandemic at its North Miami store. Perhaps, it need to adapt to the American style, unfortunately, it had lost its authenticity. I still recommend the North Miami store over the Pembroke Pine and Coral Springs location as it has the most dishes. The soup dumpling has little soup as the skin is so thick and absorbed soup. The beef noodle is tasteless. Wonton soup is clear, seaweed based, not sure what part of Chinese cousin it is from, weird. That said, the scallion pancake, fried dumplings, the Hot Spicy Dip and bubble tea are still very good. For Xiao Long Bao, I will go to the Serious Sanji just south of it. Dumpling King XLB was the benchmark, but no more... :( read more
