We stayed at Indian Springs as we wanted to do a couple things in Jackson (about 10-15 mins away)…read more Pros: -the park is beautiful! -Several trails to hike and an old cemetary to explore. -The spring -Visitor Center is a beautiful old building. Staff was very pleasant. -Camp hosts keep the place so clean and neat -Bathrooms were amazing! 2 stalls (one regular and one handicap) and 2 showers (one regular and one handicap). These were spotless. -Really neat kids playground in the new section Cons: -The road in is windy and VERY narrow. -New section: The sites are spacious but man... Not sure who designed it. All the pull thrus had slopes. We actually disconnected the Jeep and backed into our pull thru site as we may have bottomed out trying to actually pull in forward. The spot where the patio is was level and long enough for our 40' bus, but the jeep was on a slant when parked either in front or behind the coach. We saw this in most of the sites. I think if we stayed in the new section again, we'd chose one of the back in sites. -Hook ups were near the front of the site. Good thing we have long hoses! We camped at Indian Springs State Park in a Motorhome.

Pretty grounds. Got out and walked to the running creek. Drove through a pretty patch of fall…read morecolored trees and walked through a couple stone structures although I don't know what they were originally used as. Would have liked to taste the natural spring water from the pump but there was a line of jugs waiting to be filled although there is a sign stating only a couple gallons per person. This obviously isn't regulated and a couple women were filling numerous gallons and still filling up even when we were walking back to our car.

This is still a beautiful park, but in January 2022, you can no longer pay a daily use fee if your…read morenot a local county resident. You must pay an annual fee of $300. I came back to enjoy this beautiful park because it held such great memories for me. It is Labor Day weekend and there were 2 other cars in the parking lot. I left because I didn't want to have to pay a hefty fine if the park ranger came around. It's a shame really. Charge a day use fee, but allow others to enjoy the park as well without having to pay such an exorbitant fee.

My BF grew up in the area and says this new park/lake has all of the fish that was once housed in Line Creek Parks lake. Long story short it sounds like the two lakes got combined and is now a bigger better lake known as Lake McIntosh. I believe the park opened in July 2013. The entrance that we used is at the end if TDK Blvd and I believe the complex was called Southpark something :-) . It's a 1-2 minutes from the PTC Airport. If you blink you will miss it so be on the lookout. Turn off Joel Cowan Pkwy onto TDK Blvd and get your $10 ready! There is a paved walking trail, restrooms, a gazebo, benches along the trail, a playground for the kids and much more! You can dock your boats here too. Fishing requires a GA Fishing permit. There is a $10 park entrance fee if you are NOT a resident of Fayette County. You can bring your pets as long as they remain leashed and of course you should make sure to clean up after Fido or Kitty! This is PTC so you have the option of jumping in one of the family Golf Carts (Apparently you can rent them as well) or your Automobile to get there. There is parking there for both. Unfortunately, we took the golf cart because I wanted the experience of riding around PTC in a golf cart. Of course, it was a scorcher that day. Now, my Father told me often times that you should learn something new every day of your life. On this day,I learned to ride around PTC in the damn truck when it's 95 + degrees outside! I would have given a 5 Star but I need proof that there are fish up in the spot first and there is NO SWIMMING ALLOWED! ***We visited again in mid December 2015 and were happy to see that the fish are finally ready. We will be back to see how well we do once our boat is done with repairs.
