I can not review this company's products but I can review their customer service. In June of 2025 my husband and I placed an order for a custom, wheelchair accessible toy hauler so that we could take out disabled daughter camping. We put down a $3500 deposit and were told that our order would be complete in December. The build would not begin until September so we could make any changes before then. We were all excited and we were looking forward to our adventures in our new trailer. Then the unimaginable happened. Our daughter died unexpectedly in an accident at the end of August. We were devastated and now had no need for a wheelchair accessible toy hauler. We emailed our salesman to explain the situation. He stated that the deposit was non-refundable but that they could refund $1500 and they would keep the other $2000 on account for us to put towards another order. While we understand that they told us that the deposit was non-refundable, this was a unique situation. We have no need for a custom toy hauler and had just lost our daughter. We emailed back with those concerns and that email was completely ignored. I was really shocked that our situation was handled this way. Some kindness and understanding would have gone a long way. read more

We have had 2 trailers built for us and each time has been an enjoyable experience....Rodney is very knowledgeable and easy to work with.

Phone customer service is really good, answered all my questions and addressed any concerns. However after talking to a few people in the desert who have their trailers they all says the same thing. It's nice they custom build a layout you like but the quality of the build is typical of a Jayco, ForestRiver or other mass produced trailers. Still considering them for our next trailer but not sure yet. read more

I ordered a 12' toy hauler in 2021 and waited a few months for it. The staff here are pretty friendly and make the process quick and easy. I had mines shipped to Hawaii so if I need any repairs or maintenance I'm pretty much on my own. I'll start off with the pluses on this toy hauler. I had mines tricked out with pretty much every accessory they offer. Microwave, stove, oven, hood, stereo, tv mount, AC, propane gene. All of which works good so far. There's even a few things about this trailer that I didn't know...... it has its own brakes! That's so cool and awesome as we got some pretty mean hills here in Hawaii. Lol when you hook your trailer up to tow it charges your battery! (The AC plug/adapter for this thing was pretty hard to find. I got mines at a boating supply store here). They should include 1! The rear wall/ramp is very easy to operate and 1 person can easily raise or lower it. For the most part this trailers construction is pretty solid. Few of things really bother me about this trailer. First my bathroom door measures 17-7/8" but so does the bottom of the opening! The middle measures 18 3/8" and the top 18". I was told that it's because the ground my trailer is parked on is uneven(?) that's a bunch of bologna. If built correctly the ground should not matter plus it measures the same on level ground! Secondly the vent in the bathroom is a cheap, very thin, plastic component which in Hawaii sun will last less than 2yrs if that! SMH. I still haven't used this trailer enough to review everything else. Third is my tv mount! Originally I thought it was gonna be mounted on the fridge wall but it was mounted near the AC on the ceiling. That's fine IF I didn't opt for the bed! As seen in the picture you can't watch tv with the bed up! That's the whole reason I wanted a tv in this trailer! I wanted to hook up a karaoke system! I paid over $30k for this trailer and little things like this should have been thought of by the designers, builders, or salesmen. In my opinion any ways. Besides those 3 construction problems I pretty much love my trailer so far. I gave this place only 3 stars as now that my trailer is in Hawaii what do I do about my bathroom door and the bathroom vent when it cracks in a year or so?‍ Not to mention my useless tv mount. I absolutely love my Dune Sport Toy Hauler. I've owned multiple RVs, and none of them were quite perfect. They were always missing a feature here or there. After searching the web for the right RV, I came across Dune Sport and saw that they built custom trailers. I was afraid that going custom was going to take me way out of my budget, but I gave them a call and met with Casey to talk through options, pricing and my wish list. I was so pleasantly surprised. I was looking for a trailer that could provide the utility I need for BBQ competitions with the comfort I enjoyed in my Class A. Within a 16-foot trailer, we were able to fit a 4-bin sink, 8-foot counter, 9 cu. ft. fridge, queen bed, really nice size bathroom and a couch. Plus, we still have room for three 55-gallon drum smokers and a generator - or a small OHV. They even made custom doors that allow me to access cabinets inside or out. When Dune Sport says they are custom, they go beyond cabinet colors. They are truly custom. They were able to move the walls, windows and doors any direction, and they didn't even charge extra for the custom moves. The quality of the finishes is also great. The cabinets and drawers are very sturdy. I have not seen any flaws in workmanship. The only problem we've had so far is a taillight that went out, and Dune Sport quickly replaced it. Last August my wife and I were in the market for an RV to full time in. My wife is wheelchair bound so our needs are pretty specific. During a Google search I came across Dune Sport. I got in touch with Rodney who supplied me with pictures of a unit that they just completed. It was perfect for our needs. After a conversation with him, we placed an order that day. Through the entire design and build process, Rodney was great to work with. Offering guidance when needed. Despite some last changes I wanted to make, Rodney and his team made it happen. We took delivery very close to the day he had promised originally. After we took delivery and lived in it for a few months, we wanted to make some additions and some graphics work done. At this point we worked with the Plant Manager, DJ, their Electrician, Erick and their Graphics Professional, TJ. The additions and graphics were done within a few days. The work was spectacular! We have now been living in our rig for about 5 months. Their after sales service has been as good as pre-sales. Any issues we had were resolved right away. They would tell us to bring the rig by. DJ would have his team hop right on it and we were back on the road within a few hours. Now that we are away from Arizona anytime I have a question about an issue, Rodney will get the right person on the phone to walk me through it. This was a major life change for us and was extremely stressful. The entire team at Dune Sport has treated us with a level of customer service, compassion and understanding that can be tough to find these days. We had an excellent experience with Dune Sport and highly recommend them. We were actually buying a used travel trailer from them that had been part of a trade-in deal, so I can't speak to the customized toy haulers that they specialize in, but the trailer we purchased was in pristine condition and they worked with us to make everything perfect and at a very fair price. These guys obviously know their stuff when it comes to toy haulers/ trailers and were professional, communicative, and took extra time to answer all our questions. Casey in particular was very helpful, and we appreciated the straightforward business practices and coming in without getting the hard sales pitch that we received from just about every other place we visited. If we ever need a custom project in the future, this is where we'll go -- but we're so happy with the trailer we purchased from Dune Sport it'll probably be awhile! read more

I received my trailer in January after more than two years of so-called discussions with Rodney and little Brad at Dune Sport. A local connection gave me some confidence to deal with this company to build an accessible toy hauler. I was wrong. Their website advertised wheelchair accessible toy haulers. I selected the floor plan and the model And waited for them to build it for more than a year. Granted, the supply chain problem created issues, and that I understand. However, once materials and equipment were moving better, the trailer was built. Upon my first inspection, I was dumbfounded by what little Brad and Rodney considered wheelchair accessible. These guys were clueless and had no idea what questions to ask. Their initial intake process failed miserably and led to me hiring an attorney for them to make certain features comply with the contract. Little Bradley is obviously in way over his head, his father left him a business that he doesn't understand. I'd like to say the trailer is built well, but that's yet to be determined. I do know that if you're looking for an accessible toy hauler, don't stop at Dune Sport. read more

Cool product, too bad the quality and craftsmanship is so lousy. Little to no integrity or attention to quality within the sales department and manufacturing plant. we have had endless issues with everything from plumbing to electrical and structural. We had such a bad experience when we took delivery due to an incorrectly installed appliance that we opted to cut all ties with them. We cannot rely on slow and lousy repair services since we are full time in our trailer. If you want something really simple, this place will do, but if you wish to have anything extra or out of the ordinary, just don't do it. We feel like we got duped. read more

We drove 1800 miles from Georgia out to Mesa to pick up our 22' Accessible Bumper Pull Trailer in mid-May 2019 and couldn't be happier! Rodney, Brad and the entire Dune Sport team worked patiently with us to address all our special requirements to ensure that our rig would work for us. After flying out for an on-site visit, we were convinced that Dune Sport was able to build exactly what we wanted and together we made several design changes (and added some upgrades) that we hadn't even thought of. They totally delivered on all their promises and our expectations! We were a bit nervous on our return trip (15 nights out) as it had been 25 years since we owned an RV trailer, when we were much younger and did not have physical/mobility issues. The low-profile stance, MorRyde steps, exterior handles , large h/c shower with pull down seat, grab bars and wide doors make it very functional for us. Their recommendation for the tow/sway bar system works great and is easy for us to manage and the electric tongue jack/leveling system is nothing short of AMAZING! I've had my Dune Sport Dynamite Firestorm DK Toy Hauler/camper for 8 months now and love it. The camper is 8'x12' and carries everything I need. Before, I had an 8'x12' tent, a 10'x20' tent and a 24'x24' camouflage canopy. I am much happier in my Toy Hauler that is the size of my smaller tent. After my first trip in the Toy Hauler (I've named it "Klank"), I gave away all my tents, the canopy, sleeping bags and most of my camping gear. On every trip, Klank generates a lot of interest and I end up giving tours of my tiny house almost every day I'm camping! It really seems to be unique and I've praised Dune Sport to everyone who will listen. The real test was my recent trip to Burning Man. I was dry camping for 18 days with no source of water, no facilities, no stores. I had to take everything with me that I needed for the 18 days. I had changed out the 12 volt battery for two 6 volt golf cart batteries and hooked them up in a series. I replaced all the light bulbs with LED bulbs to cut down on electrical use. In the 18 days, the batteries did not require charging. The propane held out running the refrigerator, water heater and the stove. The water supply held, with my additional 25 gallons of water. Every trip with Klank is a learning experience. I drove the trailer 1,400 miles to and from Palm Springs and Black Rock and it handled beautifully. We love our new 2020 36' 5th wheel camper! Dune Sport is a great business, I would hands down recommend them if you are in the market for a new camper. Between their customer service, technical drawings and me wearing them out with questions and emails, the crew at Dune Sport delivered above my expectations and never got upset with clarifying questions. Even after we did the factory tour during our build and wanting counter tops changed out that were already installed in the bedroom. We worked specifically withy Casey throughout the whole process and it was amazing the whole time. Even after taking delivery and every issue we have had (which have a been minor) has been resolved quickly and timely. Kudos to the crew at the factory as it helps being local to them in getting these things taken care of. Update on my trailer situation. I put a review on yelp and the owner of Dune Sport called and threatened to sue me. He is trying to intimidate me to take the review down when he should have made it right from the beginning. I'm more than sure that this is the USA and that I have a right to complain without being intimidated. I will update with more reviews if this goes further because I don't want anyone else to experience what I have. Brad thinks that since he gave me 1500 to pick up the trailer I drove from Montana to Arizona TWICE to pick up that all is good and that I have no right to complain. I wrote in my last review that I did sign the work order, which I did, that is not in dispute. I did NOT sign anything that says I can not complain like a non-disclosure agreement. I also wrote that I could hear his staff making fun of me in the background when they thought they put me on hold and he called me a liar and said I haven't called that much. Well I'd say with all the issues I've called more than a dozen times at the very least and for him to call me a liar is very insulting. Like I said before I spent 43 grand and that is how I got treated when I complained. Disgraceful to say the least. I look forward to a legal battle if they want it. That will hurt them more than it hurts me. read more

My husband and I had a toy hauler built through Dune Sport a year ago. Upon delivery we immediately noticed small finish work that disappointed us and definitely did not scream quality - drawer handles missing screws, caulking around shower missing, skylight trim hanging loose because they missed screwing it to the ceiling entirely, table/bed legs would not stay folded up because they were drilled incorrectly. Small things yes, that we were able to work on ourselves but a huge disappointment immediately after spending all this money on a brand new camper. Fast forward a year - camper has been used twice... I'm filling up the water when everything comes crashing down - holding tanks, pipes, fittings everything. All because the small self tapping screws that were used to hold this huge holding tank up had sheared off. Again- low quality. This explosion also caused water to leak under the fridge causing damage to the trim work. So long story short - be prepared for disappointment. Is the camper built just the way we wanted...yes. Are the sales people easy to work with...yes very great (that's the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of one). Do they stand behind their product? To an extent...the water issue repairs were completely paid for by Dune Sport. (Of course their solution to the inside water damage is throwing some colored tape on it). I just believe that the crew doing the actual building of the trailers could care less about quality and probably focus more on quantity. So many of our issues were simply a lack of trying or caring. I'm not an overly picky, high maintenance person but walking into a brand new camper and finding problem after problem is very discouraging. Did we get the trailer we were after? Probably. Will it be in good condition and be usable past our last loan payment? Probably not. read more

After our hello's he asked if we would like him to show us the units he had or would we like to go look for ourselves...Really the sales manager was too busy to show us their units? (by the way there was no other potential customers to be found anywhere on the lot) We asked if he could show us around. They did have one unit that got our attention and we were asking questions and the answer every time was "go to our web site and build your unit there to get a price. REALLY I WAS RIGHT THERE??? We couldn't understand why he didn't say "let's sit down and price a unit out for you" guess they are just TOO BUSY. Well I am TOO BUSY to go to there web site and price out a unit. Had a custom toy hauler made by them in 2013. Upon delivery the roof was broken first trip out it leaked and dozens of other problems that dunesport originally denied even though I sent them pictures upon pictures. I got local quotes for repairs under warranty which dunesport also denied. They made me tow the trailer from Oregon to Arizona for them to perform the repairs. I even had to sell my tow vehicle which was the reason I had a custom toy hauler made, to keep the weight down. Because the toy hauler showed up 1200 pounds heavier than their weight quote. Even the tongue weight of the trailer exceeded the capacity of the hitch they sold me. Sold it a couple years later because I didn't trust it and took a huge loss. If I saw review like this back then I could have saved myself tens of thousands of dollars. I was looking for a smaller Toy Hauler for my Harley-Davidson. I came across Dune Sport last year and after some months of research, I decided to visit them in February. Casey was very good with my questions and ideas. That day I placed an order for a 16' with everything along with the kitchen sink! This May I picked up the Hauler and was very pleased. However I forgot to order a spare tire hanger, however they did a great job and putting one on before we left to head back to California. THANK YOU. Afterwards I had some questions and they were their with support. I have been out for 3 trips and love the unit. It pulled good with my explorer. The unit has everything to live in and it was custom build for me in 16 foot. My friends are amazed how roomy it is inside. With the taller ceiling, it feel larger. Dune Sport worked wonders in designing a workable Toy Hauler (TH) for my 2016 Tacoma. I had a 16' Man Cave built to my specs adjusting kitchen/bathroom wall to give me more space within the bathroom area. Tom ensured that my future Teryx 4 will be able to fit within the loading are of the TH. Everything came up beautifully. I had only two minor problems. Tom coordinated with the manufacture plant and had them fixed on another visit to the plant. James is an outstanding worker at the plant. James and team surpassed my expectations.
