Granite came looking terrible installation guys damaged the house in several locations including the brand new vanity and it did not fit properly, the guy who came to make the template measured incorrectly. Frustrating and disappointing experience with floor removal/installation process. We purchased wood flooring for our whole home minus 2 bathrooms. Scheduled tile removal was for March 23, 2023. This date was selected in advance to coordinate with a major house renovation, so the timing was critical. The project was scheduled as planned per Michele the week prior. She also sent me a voice mail confirming tile removal for Thursday, March 23, 2023. No one showed up that day. I called Michele at the store at 10:00, 11:00, and 11:30. Three different people answered, all "checking into it" but no responses were received. The original salesperson, Michele, was not in store that day. Flooring was to be delivered "soon" but staff was unsure of tile removal-maybe between 1-2 pm? Flooring came but four boxes were damaged due to them falling in the truck. At 2pm, I was informed that no one was coming on 3/23/2023 for the removal. Someone would come on Friday, 3/24/2025 instead. I received call Friday morning noting that someone would be coming between 8-9:00am. One worker showed up at 9am. He (Alex) was not happy with the size of the job and called his boss about it. At 9:30, he said he would start. At 2:00pm, Alex informed us he's quitting for the day and leaving the site. He used a manual process and was less than quarter way done with the project. I called Michelle at the store. She stated she would check and call back. I had called the store again at 4:30 but could only leave a general message. We received no response as of 5:20 pm from anyone. Michelle's mailbox was full and no message could be left. No response received from anyone on 3/24/2023. At 8:14am, Saturday, 3/25/2023, a young man knocked on our front door to tell us he was taking up the tile in 2 bedrooms. (No bedrooms were on our project list). He had a hammer and no other equipment and no way to dispose of the tile in his sedan. He looked at the job and informed us he was going out to buy a jackhammer. He left and came back talking on the phone the whole time. At 9:50, the worker informed us that the job was too hard and he was leaving. I informed Michele that this worker was leaving. She stated that the President of the company would be calling us to discuss the service issues we were having. He did. At 11:14am, two professionals showed up with the proper equipment to take over the job. It was a much different experience since they appeared to be experts in removal. They did a great job, were highly professional, communicated the process to us and got the tile up quickly. We hoped installation would be less chaotic. Issues continued, however. One worker showed up at 830am on 6/5/2023 and handed us his phone to read since he didn't speak English. He was awaiting Roberto. We found out, the second worker, Roberto, would not arrive until 10am after contacting, Michelle at the store. The installation generated dust and our smoke detectors went off at one point. Not a single room was completed the first day but parts of 3 of them were started. Since we were moving our personal items around, this was problematic. Day 2 of installation had two workers show who stated they did not speak English. We don't know where Roberto went. They continued the installation working through each room but not completing any of them before moving on. I asked to speak to the person in charge but the now three men stated that none were in charge. They spoke Portuguese. Roberto would be coming later. When speaking with Roberto and trying to get questions answered, he stated his son was coming later and spoke better English. So, the person in charge of the removal/installation could not effectively communicate the process as we expected. ALL our personal items were out on our lanai since we could not move them to a completed room which was a concern. The first room had the flooring competed on day 3. Then, all rooms were completed on day 3 but we saw areas where the trim didn't quite meet the floor in a few places so there were gaps. One of our goals was to support local businesses which is why we selected DT&G. Its inability to professionally execute was stressful and frustrating. The scheduling fiascos were unacceptable. Flooring is more than sales. DT&G just didn't seem organized to implement. The sales person was not always available when issues arose. The workers did not appear to have a clear strategy for removal or installation and could not communicate effectively with us. Fyi, We expected dust for this project and had taken appropriate precautions with plastic sheeting, etc. There was no dust control in the removal process and no house prep, other than what we did, that we could see. Be prepared to clean the fine grit in all rooms. Before the project starts, ask for a clear picture of the tile removal and installation process as well as the chain of command contacts for issues. I paid a deposit of $1,276.96 on September 29, 2021 to Dunedin Floors & Granite, Inc after I came into their Tampa location and Joe the salesperson quoted me. The 2 page quote and bill had no legalese on cancellation penalties or time/date the quote was good or on materials purchased. I ran into construction issues with the city and kept in contact them letting them know it would take a while til I was ready since my construction was delayed again. I followed up a few weeks ago and told them I no longer needed their work/granite and please return my deposit as they never bought anything for my job they just kept the deposit. I was told they had bought my granite and I owe them and it's been in storage. This is not what Joe the salesperson told me and followed up for months telling me they lost the granite style I wanted on the ship it was on to Tampa and asked me to come in and pick out another style. I text him and called him and said I was having issues and I will come in once I have an idea of when I would be ready for their work. I called back every few months to check in and they said when I was ready just come in and look at their samples. So literally I gave them $1,276.96 and they refuse to give it back. read more

We are very dissatisfied with our tile and carpet installation from Dunedin Floors and Granite. The grout between our floor tiles is permanently stained from basic foot traffic. Repeated cleaning attempts have not made a difference. We were told our grout would be sealed, but obviously it was not. Regarding the carpeting, our carpeting is bulging and our carpet pad is compressed and offers little padding. We paid for a "premium" carpet pad, and what we got was not good if it is this bad only four years later. We contacted the company regarding the carpet bulging and grout staining. The manager Joe Crouch came out on site and said that the bulging of the carpet was due to using a rental carpet cleaner on it. I agree to disagree with him there, and there is no way to tell unless the carpet is removed from the padding. Joe stated he would check our records regarding the grout sealing, but he did not. When we contacted him multiple times, he ignored us completely without any response. What kind of manager does that? We paid this company $7,140 for this job only four years ago. Now we will have to pay another company to professionally clean and seal the grout. We are also considering replacing the low quality carpet and padding in our house. How could anyone be satisfied in this situation? The quality of materials, installation, and service from dealing with this company was very low. Because of this experience, we strongly recommend you look elsewhere for another more reliable and professional company. read more

We went to the Holiday display office twice. both times we showed them samples of the flooring we wanted and then asked to have someone come and mesure. We were promised a visit by an expert twice and neither time did anyone follow up. So we went with another company. read more

We were replacing a two bowl kitchen sink with a single bowl sink. We were worried that the new sink would be too small. Removed the old sink and went to set the new sink and as it turned out the hole in the granite countertop was to small. We called Dunedin Floors and Granite. They were here the next day. They set up plastic to mitigate the dust, cut the small amount to granite out and checked that the new sink fit. They were on time, courteous and professional. I would and shall recommend them to anyone who needs this type of work done. We are extremely pleased with this service. The whip cream and cherry is that this happened during the quarantine. read more
