Clean and large. So how do I get someone setting up next to me at 1AM with car running and a pump? Plenty of space to avoid this.

It was a very inclusive place, too, with young families, kids as well as couples of all ages and gender configurations.

Just back after a week at North of Highlands...our third trip. It was our best ever. The weather…read morewas spectacular as we closed the summer on a high note. Our site was immaculate and set up against the pines with just enough privacy. We took advantage of the walk to Head of the Meadow Beach enjoy the unspoiled beauty of the outer Cape. The true measure of a camp experience is the shared facilities. These bathrooms and showers were immaculate. They say they clean them multiple times a day and it shows. Some noted that the many rules are restrictive...we find them the opposite and they create a quiet and respectful community. Can't wait to return next year.

I am surprised by all of the glowing reviews here. They have a LOT of rules and some of them I…read morefound very annoying. Warning: the showers are locked at 9PM so if you want to wash the sand and salt out of your hair before going to sleep, forget about it. There was an outdoor shower but that was disconnected. The campground ran out of propane one night so there was no hot water even when you paid. They have detailed rules on how to charge your cell phone, for example- and the only place you can do that closes at 10 PM.I should say that the guy came at 10:00 to lock up and threw us all out. It was a quiet reading room with lights where you could sit and read. An insomniac would go nuts here. And watch where you put your lantern- they don't like those either. I felt afraid that I might get in trouble for just breathing. The sites are OK and spacious enough, but nothing extraordinary. I didn't find the bathrooms to be especially clean. The garbage cans were full/overflowing several times when I went in there. No hot water in the sinks. No place to wash your dishes-everyone has to pour the soap on the ground at their own campsite. I have camped 100's of times all over the country and don't think I have ever seen some of the rules they have here.

Blueberry Hill is a private campground tucked into the Myles Standish State Forest in Plymouth. My…read moregrandfather was one of the founding campers in 1959, my family started camping there when I was six, and we had a permanent site by 1968; my brother has that site now. "Permanent" constructions aren't allowed. You can put campers and tents there, and build frames of 2x4s, canvas, mesh netting and fiberboard that have the appearance of a cabin. People park refrigerators, tables and appliances there, and generally stay throughout the season, which runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day. There's a pond for swimming, fishing and sailing, forests in which to hike, a recreation area with a basketball court and other amenities. The sites are seasonal leases (no short term camping) and can roll over year-to-year, and Site #12 isn't the only one that's been in the hands of one family for fifty years or more. Contact the owners to get on the waiting list for an opening, but understand that preference is often given to the families of current or old-time campers. Times have changed, some, and now water and electric hookups have replaced the propane-fired refrigerators and send-the-kids-to-the-public-taps-with-jerricans of my youth. More people are there weekends-only and fewer live there all summer long. But it's still the home of my heart, forever. And if you can get your own site, thank your lucky stars. It'll be one of the best things that ever happened to you.

Mainly rvs with nice tent spots. The proximity to beaches restaurants and even the bike trail adds to the appeal of Atlantic Oaks Campground. The cons are few and didn't impact our stay or the rating. The point here is that you're going to the beach. So No pool, but go to the beach :) Next internet is about a decade behind, e-mail light browsing work. Internet coverage is wide with barely any dead spots just slow. Tips!! Go to Arnold's for food it's a short walk and it's fun and tasty great onion rings and scallops bring cash. Don't forget to return your gate key. Oh and one more have your campfire but have it put out with water by 11pm.

Well, another bike camping trip on the Cape and another fine night staying here. Someone mentioned…read morein another review that they thought this place is a "cash grab", and I could not disagree more. It's also the cleanest and most well-run private campground on the Cape, in my opinion. I had made a reservation earlier that day in person on the phone, mentioned I would be getting in late. I got a friendly call from them later to make sure I could get to camp ok if it was after hours, and to make sure I did so quietly. I was impressed at the concern not just of my experience but that of the other guests. I write this on the front porch, just outside their very nice common area, sipping a good cup of coffee ($1.75, vs $3 at the far inferior North of Highlands campground) and about to get back on the bike. One more note, I mentioned I had forgotten to pack a cup, didn't see anything just right in their otherwise well-appointed camp store, and wouldn't you know Brian pulls up at my site later in his golf cart with the loan of a coffee mug! In the thru-hiking/biking community they call that "trail magic".
