What a lovely hotel! I stayed here w my daughter for a girls getaway, Mon-wed. We booked a room w no ocean view but was happy to be upgraded to a room w ocean views. The hotel was fairly quiet not crowded this first week in June. And all adults which was refreshing. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast was perfect, fresh red grapefruits, good quality breads for toasting, hard boiled eggs, assorted juices and coffee, they even had almond milk, fresh bananas, cereals, I loved the unsweetened greek yogurt, peanut butter and spreads. All well done and clean dining area w pretty views. We played tennis on the hard court which was fun, they had racquets and balls but they could use a fresh can of tennis balls. The water pressure in the shower was somewhat low but manageable. The views from the room are beautiful and we caught an amazing sunset right outside our back porch. The location was perfect, just 5 miles from Ptown and many beaches close by. Great time of year because we didn't have to pay beach parking fees. The pool was beautiful too, u can see the ocean from the pool, but u can't walk to the beach, the highway is there. I wish the pool was heated, otherwise it's quite nice. The beds were comfortable not too firm or soft, just right, but the pillows almost too big and puffy. I always bring my own pillow so I was fine. Complimentary take home slippers was a surprise. There were pool towels and bag if you forgot your own. Overall a great stay and I would definitely return and recommend! read more

The hotel is very close to PTown and the Truro beaches. The room was clean. The property is lovely. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only caveat you should be aware of is that the walls are thin and you can hear everything going on in the rooms beside you. Thankfully, my room neighbors were respectful and relatively quiet, but I could see it being a problem if you didn't have room neighbors as respectful. If you don't mind that, you'll be OK. If you do mind, you might wish to reconsider. But, truly, it is a beautiful location, the rooms are clean, the staff is lovely, and you are close to everything. read more

Pon't let the pictures fool you. When we first arrived I was stunned by the property's beauty. It is really pretty. And our room is lovely but none of this makes up for: hours of teenage boys yelling and playing football in the pool, out of control dogs barking, walls made of paper so you can hear everything your neighbor is doing - talking, watching tv, sneezing, stomping, yelling at dog...Luckily we only have one night here but this may well be one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. When I pay over $500 per night and I have driven 7 hours to relax this place totally disappoints. If management has any integrity they will compensate me some amount - usually the rooms are about $150 per night so they gorge during the high season. But honestly, I wouldn't stay here for free. read more

I absolutely love this this place. We stayed in the Captains Suite and the king room next door so our family could all be together. It was worth every dime. The Captains Suite is just like the pictures. It is so comfortable and they have thought of everything you might need in the kitchen. The place is so very clean inside and around the property. They just renovated and it really shows. The staff is wonderful. They were helpful in guiding us to where we were going and recommended a great restaurant just a mile away. The view from the Captians Suite is just amazing from inside, with all its windows, and from outside off the huge attached private deck. Ocean every where you look. They have a delicious continental breakfast every day. Did I mention I love this place, and I know you will too! When we get to go back to Cape Cod this is the only place we will stay. read more

What an amazing stay at the Dune crest Hotel, came up for the weekend with a bunch of friends, they are renovating the rooms and I had one of the new leaf renovated rooms, everything was wonderful. The continental breakfast was delicious and it's located in a beautiful area of the Cape with a wonderful view, we went during off-season so the price was very reasonable, but I don't know what it would be during the busy time, but it was an amazing day. We are going back next year. read more

The room was pretty big. It had two queen beds which were very comfortable. They redid the rooms. They were very nice and not bad in price. It was pretty quiet there and the staff was friendly. They serve a continental breakfast but I just grabbed a muffin. They offer tennis courts and a pool. It's only a few miles from Provincetown and there great restaurants close by. Just fantastic! The people who work here are so warm and friendly and helpful. And the atmosphere is so, so, so perfect. Waking up to the view of shore in this charming room that feels from another era is just what these two exhausted New Yorkers needed. Last night, when we found our car stuck in the sand last night a few miles away (yes, I did mention we are city folk) we couldn't find a towing place that was open. I called the hotel to just ask for any advice on who to call. She took over handling it and sent people to haul us out. They really go above and beyond here. Sorry to say that although the location was lovely, the room was not. Paper thin walls destroyed any chance of a good night of sleep as well as the whole room shaking when people in the rooms next door were walking around. The overall appearance was old and falling apart. A lot of $$$ for a disappointing stay and my room looked nothing like what was shown online when booking. Perhaps some rooms have been redone and are better?! I certainly will not be returning to find out! read more

This Fall was our third time staying at the lovely Dune Crest. We just love everything about it. However, if your preference is a fancy hotel stay, this will not be for you. We really like how they've updated certain things from our last year stay: new comfortable patio chairs, updated shiny bedside lamps, a better shower head in the bathroom, and brand new cloth chairs in the room. Also, they brought back the breakfast buffet. Last year, they did away with it because of Covid. The delicious buffet includes: cereals, muffins, cheese danish, bagels, grapefruit, bananas, yogurts, hard boiled eggs, OJ, hot tea, and coffee. The Dune Crest also has the following amenities: swimming pool, shuffleboard, horseshoes, dog park, and a nature trail. We enjoyed the nature trail every morning of our 4 day stay here. And the sunsets from the porch of our room, overlooking Provincetown, were just breathtaking. read more

We stayed at Dune Crest off season. It's in a great location in the dunes of Truro and overlooking the water. The price was good for after Labor Day, the staff is very nice and helpful and our room was very clean and comfortable. It's a typical Cape Cod hotel where the outside deck facing the water is very weather beaten, but we still enjoyed sitting outside. The towels never dried hanging in the bathroom from the Cape dampness. The king bed was interesting, it was clean and neatly made but the mattress was very lumpy yet we slept great! There is an outdoor pool but unfortunately it's not heated in the off season so we couldn't use it. Although it was open. They do provide a nice breakfast, or you can grab coffee and muffins to take back to your room. Drawback, there's no electric outlets near the bed. And there's no bedside clock. So I charged my phone on the tv stand every night and had no idea what time it was unless I got out of bed and checked my phone. read more

Charming and simple, yet welcoming. My wife, 2 kids and I spent 3 nights at Dune Crest. The views are beautiful, watching the sun set over Provincetown is something else, and finally being able to see the Milky Way over the Atlantic in the other direction at night was something else. The room was well kept, but slightly dated. One of the most surprising aspects was the single lane glass didn't cause any issues with sound or drafts. Even during a rainstorm, I slept like a baby. The grounds are nice and while rooms are in different buildings around the property, it was easy for us to meet our friend with her pet. It's a bit tough to navigate the driveways at night, but not impossible, but the beds are comfortable, the shower works well and there are loads of great Cape Cod experiences nearby. The breakfast is a simple boiled egg, cereal, fruit, baked good and yoghurt selection, and the service is great. We missed the season for the pool to be hospitable, which was my son and daughter's only complaint! My only recommendation would be to install an EV/Tesla charger or two. After arriving late, I could've plugged in and charged overnight, but instead had to drive back down to the Orleans supercharger to get enough charge for the weekend. There are a couple of L2 chargers in Provincetown and Truro, but they're not making much of a dent unless there for several hours. read more

We booked this stay through Hotels.com. the picture on the website is definitely deceiving as the actual place needed an update. It is more like a townhouse/motel than the typical "hotel" we are used to. But I think this is pretty common for beach stays. While the exterior building and decor need a good power wash and update; for the interrior, even though the decor is outdated, rooms are clean and spacious with nice view of the beach. The hotel is pet friendly, so that's a bonus. My original booking was to checkout on Saturday, but decided to extend our stay 1 extra night and called the hotel directly. They told us we would need to move to another unit for the last night because the unit we are staying in is booked for Saturday. 2 things annoyed me: 1. When we checked in, I specifically asked if we had to move on Saturday and the staff at the front desk said no. But Saturday at 11:30, I got a call from the front desk that we needed to move! A bit annoyed but thank goodness we were not far away and was able to get back to do the move. 2. We called to reserve a cot for all 4 night stays and the staff said they put it in the system and will setup the room appropriately, but when we got to our room, there was no cot setup. We had to call BOTH times to have them bring the cot. There's additional cost of $10+tax per night for the cot. We stayed in unit 67 which is an end unit with porch and far away view of the ocean for 3 nights (Wed-Fri). Beds are comfortable; Very basic setup but we like that there's a sink in and outside the bathroom which makes brushing teeth or washing things much easier. The room has a small fridge, microwave, hairdryer, iron, small ironing board, and TV. No extra sheets. Our last night in unit 65 (in the same building) was surprisingly pleasant. This is an updated unit with new carpeting, furniture, and bathroom. Due to COVID19, no daily room service and no continental breakfast. If you need new towels, need to call front desk and staff will drop off in front of the door. So by changing the room, our beds were made and we have a fresh room to stay in! All in all, a pleasant stay but not fancy. Be aware that you must turn on the fridge if you intend to use it. They keep it off to save energy. read more

Based on the google reviews we decided to stay at this place for our 1 day visit to cape cod. We booked the room through booking.com. It took us 15 min to checkin. When we entered the room it was too hot and we started sweating profusely. I brought this issue to the front desk and the old lady decided to send the maintenance. The maintenance lady started laughing at us saying that AC is working. We said its just the fan which is working and even at 60 F, AC is throwing hot air. To this maintenance said that its an old AC and it will work like this. I was amazed to see the ignorance and reluctance to help us. She was there only for formality and I am sure she had no knowledge how AC works. I had a pet cat with me and she was restless because of high temperature of the room. I went to the front desk requesting to change the room. The old lady said that she has to go through some paper to decide if she can give us a new room. She complained saying the system is down and she cant help. While i was talking to her, my friends and my cat stayed in my car since the room was way to hot. The lady at the reception was too old and she could barely walk. There was no office boy to help her out hence everything was taking too much time which was frustrating as we were there only for a day. After waiting for more than 1 hr the old lady decided to give us a new room. On the website, they say they have a swimming pool but it was not functional. The website said that the room had ocean view. You cannot call it a ocean view if all you can see is some water because ocean is far far away. This place misleads customers and it's not even close to what it says on the website. Coming back to our new room story. There was some strange smell in the room, hence we decided to stay away from the room and we left the place within few hours. This place ruined our first experience to cape cod and I hope no one goes through such horrible experience. Overall, the place is horrible and the staff is useless and reluctant to help. They take advantage of the fact that you cannot do much at the last moment as the fees is non refundable and almost all the nearby hotels are booked. ZERO STARS for this trash. read more

If you're looking for a dog friendly hotel on the cape, look no further. We bring our dog everywhere we go and this is the most dog friendly place we've ever stayed. Several "pet relief" areas throughout the property, walking trails, and their own dog park with great views. Although the exterior of the buildings appear somewhat outdated, it's what's on the inside that matters. The rooms were clean with really comfortable beds. We got a balcony room which had amazing views of the ocean. We will definitely be back. read more

I have been coming here for years. The location and view is amazing. The rooms are comfortable, but you will definitely know you are not at the Four Seasons. And that is perfect for the low-cost to stay and ability to have my dog with me. Normally I would say for the price it is 5 stars. I cannot say that this time. The internet did not work for my entire visit. You could see the SSIDs but not connect. And cellular signal is one to two bars at best. I expressed my concern when reporting the lack of wi-fi to the front desk. They said they would reboot a piece of equipment. The next morning there was still no signal so I expressed my concern with the front desk, again saying there is no wi-fi. They told me they had rebooted the equipment several times. I told them I had a meeting in five hours and was told it would not be fixed. They did offer to let me sit in the lobby or the breakfast room where wi-fi worked, but they told me they could not guarantee a vacuum would not be running at the same time. I declined that offer. There had been another couple the night before with the same complaint and they were sitting unhappily in the lobby to check email. This is 2022. Wi-fi is essential! The fact that they just wouldn't call someone to get it fixed was ridiculous. As was the woman in the back office who called out that "we don't guarantee the wi-fi here." That isn't anywhere on their web page, I can tell you that. Normally I love this place, but without wi-fi I can only give it a three. The staff was polite, the place was clean, affordable, and allowed dogs. If you don't need wi-fi, give it a try. I will have to look elsewhere. read more

While we originally loved the stay, (we specifically stayed here while traveling with our dog), it ended off on a bad note. We were in the pool area and the dog was barking here and there, no more than 10 minutes. there was one other family in the pool area. The receptionist came out and angrily told us we need to leave with the barking dog and we were bothering other people. There was only one other family, and they immediately spoke up and told her that it wasn't a problem and they have a dog at home and it wasn't bothering them. The receptionist glared at my children and i, then continued to speak nicely to the other family. I took my family and left, yes with a crying 8 year old, even though the other family kept telling us it wasn't a problem, asking us to stay. the receptionist couldn't even look up from her desk to say goodbye, or anything at all while we were leaving. This was supposedly a dog friendly hotel. There were several dogs staying here that would bark incessantly at who ever walked by- our direct neighbors to our room. My career is in hospitality and customer service, and to be treated like that- with disdain, after spending $800 for just a few nights, instead of a welcoming reminder or check in about the situation, was terribly disappointing. read more

Its not fancy but all the important boxes were checked, this is our go to spot. I have to expand on the beds. Ended up cutting the trip early due to the sheer amount of ticks and Jurassic Park-esque mosquitos on the property. According to management, they are unable to spray due to it being on the National Seashore and because of that I was unable to be refunded. Having 5 ticks in 24 hours from just using the Pet Relief Areas (not even the trails!) was too much for me and a 6 month old puppy. The place also has not seen any improvements or a coat of paint in decades. Dingy and honestly kind of creepy. Had high hopes but was disappointed. read more

We showed up at the dunecrest to find out what rooms they had available she said there's a balcony with a pet access and a nonpad access that didn't have a balcony I told her that I was very claustrophobic that I needed something that opened up that she said that basically you're here so just kind of book it basically so he booked it through hotels tonight because we had a coupon otherwise we would have booked it with them after we booked it 3 minutes later we go up she gave us the keys and said that this was a room without a balcony I said well you said I could get a balcony I told you I was claustrophobic she said oh I'm sorry we only saved the balcony pet rooms if someone happens to come in now we were there at a 5:30 on a Sunday night really? So we went back and forth we try to get our money back through hotels tonight we went back and talked to her again at that time they were three to four rooms available that had a balcony she still refused to give us a balcony even though it's past prime time for people to check in. So we finally went into our room I have videos of a bug in our room stains in our room we had one small window that opened up the other one was broken and I've never ever in my years of being alive experience a place that gave such awful customer service. Unfortunately we couldn't get our money back through hotels tonight and we have to stay in this god-awful place. My advice to you spend the extra money and go somewhere else they are not nice and they don't care about anyone else but themselves it seems. read more
