Rude and condescending piercer, hard to work with and insulting. not helpful. I have many piercings and have never experienced such difficulty trying to get a piercing put back in. I've had my cartilage piercing done by Leo over 2 years ago and it's the only cartilage piercing I've had that has lasted. Other piercings I've gotten done by other studios have inevitably flared up at certain times and had to be removed. I'm typically a stickler about piercing care, but I gave this piercing the least amount of care since it was an impulse and was honestly neglectful the first few weeks. The appointment online has to be accepted but mine was accepted within 24hrs. Once we got there we told the girl in thenfront what we were thinking and she gave us a couple of options of what she though based on our anatomy. So I got a tat here around 4 years ago (pic added) I went back once and he touched it up no charge, not that it needed it but it is a pink and white tattoo so it helped define it more. I gave Patrick a picture I had drawn and said I want this or something close. He took it and made it into this amazing Celtic Heart knot that is now my favorite tattoo. I brought my daughter back to get the same one yesterday... He put it perfectly the same just different location. Then today my son came for one, it looks fabulous for sure. I have a feeling my other kids will be coming here with me on my next trip. Always professional, clean and sterilize everything. Prices are great as well. Came in for help with switching out a piercing. The guy who helped me was extremely rude but I needed the help and brushed it off as him having a bad day. Reading the rest of the reviews it looks like he has a lot of bad days. Anyways, I needed my tragus jewelry replaced because I'd lost the bead while cleaning it. I tried to replace it myself but ended up irritating the hell out of it. It got SO swollen. So that was a big mistake. Especially since I had had it for 6 months and it looked and felt completely healed. So I came here and the guy switched out my tragus with what he said was "surgical grade titanium" and with a pretty long bar since a regular one wouldn't fit due to swelling. 6 months later and my tragus was not healing at all unlike it was before I tried to switch it out myself. The piece I had before was stainless steel. It would look like it was healing and the relapse with bad bumps on both sides. Regardless, I ended up going to another piercer and they told me the extra long bar needed to come out. I wish the Dungeon guy had told me to come back after the swelling came down to switch it out. But he couldn't be bothered. I also thought he told me the piece was BVLA and raving about the "high" quality. I remember not caring because I had just started getting piercings and didn't know much. Learned the hard way that the piece was so obviously NOT BVLA. So i don't know if my tragus wasn't healing because the piece was bad quality or the bar was too long. Either way never going back. I came here to get my vch pierced by Leo because I knew he was APP certified. Leo is a complete professional! He explained the whole process and all the aftercare instructions very thoroughly. He was also really easy to talk to which put my mind at ease! The shop itself is very nice and clean on the inside and everyone else is friendly in there as well. You will pay more to get a piercing done here but that's in part to the fact that they only use high quality jewelry for the piercings. I'd much rather pay more know I gotta I'm going to be set up properly. So, not many Yelp reviews, what a travesty! Had a piercing done by Leo and I can't rave enough about how professional and skilled he is with piercings. Found this place by reading Yelp and saw some good reviews for his work. When I met with Leo he evaluated my piercing request location and let me know if was feasible for me to proceed with that location based on a physical evaluation of the area. Was excited to find out he is a member of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP) and committed to clean, safe, and professional practice of his craft. Leo is the only person in the Orlando area with these credentials according to the APP site directory, so I felt safer knowing this. The cost, precautions, and aftercare steps were explained to me in advance of the service by Leo. When it was time for my piercing the equipment was professionally sterilized and then I was coached by Leo into a calm, prepared state as to what to expect during the process. It was not very painful and appreciated how gently he handled me. Would come back again for another piercing in the future. Great experience here. Summary: Extremely rude owner, incorrect size jewelry given which caused pain more $ and had to be fixed My friend and I made an appointment at this shop to get our navels pierced. I've had my anatomy checked with a different piercer so I know I'm eligible for the piercing. We're both overweight and boy did Leo make us feel uncomfortable. We walk in both vaccinated and Leo rudely tells us we need a mask and if we don't have one to go buy one next door- ok no problem. Come back, and very aggressively asks us what we want. We tell him we have an appointment to get our navels pierced. He scoffed and said "really?" Yikes. The rest of the interaction was exactly how you'd expect it to go after this point. Us walking on egg shells, him being extremely rude. We stayed because he was knowledgeable and the shop was clean. We also drove an hour and paid for childcare so his bad attitude wasn't going to stop us. I've been to many shops in the past and I've never felt as uncomfortable as I did in this shop. You'd think he would be used to working with all body types so we were very shocked by his unprofessional comments. I suggest finding somewhere else. His knowledge and experience isn't worth the attitude. We won't be back. Update: Leo pierced me with a bar too short for my anatomy I had no room at all which made the jewelry flush with my skin and created a hole and extreme swelling and I had to go to another shop spend $70 more and get the mistake fixed. The piercer was extremely shocked Leo was the one who made this mistake as he has been in the industry for forever. They also said I should've been given a floating navel instead of the traditional navel which I did mention to him when I first came in after I had my anatomy checked at a different piercer. All and all this was a terrible, costly, and painful experience I don't recommend to anyone. So I got a piercing at Dungeon and I have to say that I loved every minute of it. From the first walk-in and welcome that I received, through the explanation of the process, and payment. It was great. First and foremost I should say that I did research at the Department of Health. I was told that the gentlemen who runs this joint, Leo, was the best in Orange County. He is knowledgeable, up to date on licensing, and offers assistance to colleagues in the industry. Leo explained the different jewelry available and how the aftercare and healing process works. Apparently, it varies based on the location of the piercing and the type of jewelry purchased. While he was prepping for the piercing, he showed me how everything is sanitized as well as why certain procedures were talking place (the instruments were placed in this oven looking machine which sterilizes the tools). He was careful to wash his hands, dry his hands with a paper towel, and kept his hands from touching stuff that hadn't been sterilized/sanitized. Before he pierced my ear, he dotted the location and asked if I liked it. We agreed and he asked me to lay down. He grabbed my ear and told me on 1 to breathe in and on 2 to breathe out. On 2, he pierced my ear and it was done! Easy as that... the jewelry went in and he sat me up. He asked if I was feeling okay (supposedly some people get woozy) and since I was, all that was left to do is pay. He explained the aftercare process again and sent me on my way. Look some of these reviews here may have validity, but I didn't experience any of the negative stuff. Go see Leo, tell him Frances sent you, and enjoy the experience. read more

Have had over 20 plus piercings done I had a missing ball to my industrial so I called the company who made that specific jewelry piece and they suggested going here. I just moved to orlando from Missouri and haven't been able to find a studio that fits my standards for piercings and tattoos. I decided to give it a try and I am soooo disappointed. I immediately told him I wanted to get a piercing but wasn't quite sure what I wanted yet I wanted to see the jewelry options...he literally told me he wasn't comfortable piercing me and wasn't going to do what I wanted cuz of the healing time and cuz I wasn't "sure" and could regret the piercing later...I wanted an orbital which I've had done before. The next thing when he was putting the ball onto my industrial he asked how old the piercing was and I had said 4 years but it was irritated because of the missing ball he then says "doesn't look like it's that old and tells me I "better start taking care of it" I am nobody new to piercings I take extremely good care of them and the jewelry I put in them. Totally disrespectful and talked to me like I was stupid. I couldn't believe how unprofessional and rude he was, made both me and my friend uncomfortable while we were there and if I wouldn't of really needed that ball I would have left a lot sooner. In a pinch, I was able to get the piercing back to my cartilage jewelry that had gotten lost while visiting from out of state. The girl at the counter was helpful. The piercer has extensive knowledge of product but needs to work on personal skills. As someone who has worked in the customer service industry for 10 years, I don't care if you work at a tattoo shop; kill your customers with kindness instead of a condescending tone. Likewise with phone call etiquette Update: ** I got overcharged and when I confronted them about the inconsistency, a disagreement ensued and I was threatened about how they're not able to return any jewelry. This ended with the piercer claiming he wanted his jewelry back and wanting to call the cops on me. My transaction was voided. I am a young hardworking woman that was happy to provide them with a $50 payment without question until my brother and I realized that the math didn't add up for my $20 earrings and $10 jewelry backing. Not being residents from Florida I assumed it was tax. It was a simple mistake that turned into me fearing for my personal safety as a large man aggressively removed my jewelry backing. They said "every review counts for a small business" but a 1 Star review hurts more than my original 3 Star. A nearby business charged me $2 dollars but I happily gave them $10 with how helpful they were over the phone speaking with my brother and in person sizing and fitting the backing. read more

I went here with a 70 year old friend of mine who wanted his first piercing. This shop has an extensive array of jewelry. Leo was highly recommended by another shop in town that does piercings ( they didn't have the jewelry type my friend wanted). Leo seems to know his stuff. I was surprised to find out there are so few APP licensed piercers in Orlando. As Leo was explaining things to my friend and we were still at the counter I reached up to touch my own earring. Leo flipped out telling me to gruffly to stop what I was doing and put my hands down "Now!" And do NOT touch my earring. While I can totally get and appreciate he wants to keep a clean place, dude, find a way to communicate that's not yelling at your customers! We were still at the initial counter, not a sterile field. I'd rather have someone over zealous though. But really, at 50 years old you can ask me respectfully not to take my jewelry out at counter (not that you have to be older to be treated with curtesy). I went to Dungeon back in June to get my earlobes pierced for gauges/plugs. Very professional, sanitary, and clean. Leo is a skilled professional (also a member of the Association of Professional Piercers), he told me everything I needed to know about my piercings before he even started and addressed any concerns I had. I walked in, not sure of whether I wanted to get my daith or my tragus done, and I was nervous for both. Leo was the one who helped me. He did a great job of explaining what each piercing was like and helped me decide on the daith. The piercing room was just like a doctor's office - all sterile equipment, a chair with paper on it, etc. However, I would say if you're looking for a compassionate piercer, Leo is not your guy. I prefer people like him, who have a "suck it up" mentality, but others may not. He explained the procedure, but basically told me not to be nervous or it would make it harder for him and me. However, the piercing went as quick and painless as a daith piercing can be. He cleaned it well and explained the aftercare in detail. The shop uses high quality metals and are very knowledgeable about piercing care. Keep in mind, though, that it will cost more because of the high quality metals and medical-like procedure. At first glance this place is a little confusing. Dungeon is in the back corner of Mystic, and as Guy M. already mentioned, the guy that runs Mystic is a little weird. However, don't let that throw you off because they are two different places. My roommate and I went to Dungeon to get our noses pierced and were met by Leo. He was single-handedly the best piercer either of us have ever gone to. Although we were both getting the same piercing he took the time to explain the process to each of us. The highlight of our trip was, by far, how clean everything was. Leo wore several sets of gloves, a mask, and the autoclave was visible so you can be assured that your jewelry is as sterile as possible. Overall, it was a really chill and positive experience and I'd recommend Leo to anyone looking to get a new piercing. read more
