They said I would be able to come back and return the dress if needed as long as I had a receipt, however they did not put a receipt in my bag. Then when I came back to return the dress I was blamed for their mistakes and told I could only return the item for a gift card. Additionally the worker was extremely hostile and did not know how to work her own cash register and had to call for help multiple times. After issuing the gift card they told me that I would not be able to use the gift card because "their machine was down," essentially stealing $65 from me. Despite saying that they would reach out to me about the issue they never did and I had to call multiple times to resolve this issue. On the phone the worker called me rude (I don't know how trying to get a refund is considered "rude") and was extremely unhelpful. Finally they agreed to exchange the gift card for a different item (after 2 phone calls and 4 in store visits, I don't know why they couldn't have done this in the first place) This fiasco wasted me hours of time. Do yourself a favor and order a dress from somewhere else or head to a mall or basically anything but go to this store. If you must purchase something avoid interaction with Mary. She is completely clueless and obviously was not trained properly. Edit: The store owner called me a day after to guilt trip me, offer various excuses, and when that didn't work blatantly told me to the take review down and tried to bribe me. When I returned to the earring section, where my friends were still standing, I was approached by an employee. She asked me if I had left the earrings over on the other side, where I had just returned from. Confused, I said I hadn't. She continued prodding me about the earrings (are you sure you didn't put them down, where are they, etc...) I then realized she was accusing me of stealing them. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, she asked me to show her the exact place that I had set down the earrings (wtf) which I was able to do. She then walked away without even an apology. It goes without saying that accusing customers of stealing when you obviously have no idea what you are talking about is not only disrespectful, embarrassing (given that the store was incredibly crowded at the time), but extremely unprofessional. Sad to say I will not be returning to Verbena....clothes are cute...and employees usually professional and respectful.

What I like about Cache the most is that they allow you to combine your coupons with the clearance deals. I had a $25 gift coupon and shopped the clearance rack with it. Not only did I find my dream dress here, but from the minute I came in I felt like family here. I highly, highly recommend this bridal boutique if you are in the southeast MI area! Being a plus size bride, I struggled to find shops that carried dresses in my size and Mimi's is one of the few where I was able to actually try on dresses that fit. I ended up going for a dress that my mom found (mom always knows best!) and they worked with me as I turned a couture gown into a custom design specially made for me. They offer in-house alterations at an added charge and even though the prices are steep, the quality speaks for itself. For reference, my budget was $3,000 -my dress & veil combined ended up being just under $2,000 and I paid $900 for alterations (keep in mind I re-designed the whole top of my dress and had 15 bustles!) so I still came in under budget and ended up with a unique one of a kind dress that no one else has. I understand that being for settings, but in this case, the stem broke off an earring. They charged me $75 to repair but it included a rodium dip. Which would make it look like new again. I paid it and left my earrings. I picked up and noticed the repair was clearly noticable. My earrings didn't get a dip! That is a careless oversight and tells me that they didn't clearly inspect the finished repair to miss such a major part of the repair. White gold, repaired with yellow gold stands out. At pick up, the gal that helped was really nice and friendly. She had to take care of something else and a guy took over. He was short and rude. I stood there forever, without any interaction and finally asked if I was all set. He said no, he had to give me a print out. He could have said that in the first place. He gave me the printout and told me that I had to print in this specific piece of paper with my jewelry every six months for the inspection. Talk about antequated! Like a punch card. My husband's name is in the system, they looked up the items and order the repair under his phone number. I asked if it was really necessary and without waiver, he said yes, I had to keep this printout and bring it in for years to come. Bullshit. The jewelery is fine but we won't buy from here again. It's not worth dealing with the lack of attention to detail and rudeness.
