You have no business calling yourself a retailer. You advertise products on your website that you never carry. For the past several months, I've been trying to purchase a dumbbell set you constantly advertise but never have available. I've contacted multiple stores over this time and am always given the same pathetic response from employees with no understanding of customer service: "We don't have it in stock. We have no idea if we will ever have it in stock. No, I can't order it for you." Do yourselves a favor by turning off the lights and locking the doors. I'll be shoppng elsewhere. read more

I haven't been into Dunham's in ages and I was pleasantly surprised how nice this store is in Portage. We found everything we were looking for and more. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Even when were checking out, the couple in front of us had an issue with their return, but the young guy running the register called and had another team member up in a matter of minutes to open another register so we didn't have to wait. Should be a zero - Inventory system is a joke. Online they say they have item in stock. Call the store - yes in stock. Get to store - not in stock. Then told yeah online isn't always accurate. Nice. Great job Corporate. Way to get customer to buy from your competition. read more

If it weren't for the selection of items across the store I wouldn't really come here..and don't get me started on coming here in the later part of an evening because there may only be 2 or 3 people working in the whole place. I think it's a theme today that businesses have had to cut their costs in order to stay in business at all. Dunham's competes with Dick's, which is less than 3/4 mile away and is much more updated (yet pricey). If you need assistance with something or have a question only to be answered by a knowledgeable employee, you're taking a chance by coming here. Typically they use coupons via email, etc. to entice you to come and save 20% off a single item, so if you know what you want and it's pricey, then by all means, save the 20% and come here. read more

Horrible customer service especially in the gun department. All of the workers seem bothered to be there, especially if you go up to ask them a question. I'm sure the owner or managers know this so please start doing something about it. You have an overwhelming number of customers complaining about your customer service so please fix it. Makes us not even want to go in there. read more

The staff was not helpful when looking at Remington shotguns, after asking to look, the employee wanted to finish her conversation with her girlfriend while flipping price tags up in the pistol case. After 10 more minutes she denies me to handle a gun because my drivers license and concealed permit are still registered in Florida due to an honorable military separation, moving back home and Michigan Secretary of State office operations being delayed months, do not help the fact that I've been trying to get my Michigan license (again). The Dunham's team was very disrespectful and this "policy" is a load of shit. They could not show me the policy or describe it, I will not be giving Dunham's sports any business. Their prices are good, they have quality products & the facility is fine...stylish manikins and decorators add to retail prices. HOWEVER, yesterday I TRIED to spend $800-$1000 there without success. "Sales Associates" literally ignored me. I watched 3 of them chat several isles over for ~15 minutes; and YES, they saw me standing there. I actually thought the sales people were customers! Finally, I approached a manager and said I had waited 20 minutes, & she said it was up to ME to seek out service. After I gave her a 3 minute seminar on customer service & capitalism, she found 3 associates who had been hanging out a few aisles from me. I'm in favor of keeping costs in line while providing service quality, yet passing on savings to the customer...but failing to make even cursory contact with potential customers is corporate suicide against Amazon/eBay.
