Lucy was waiting on a woman who had driven down from Brattleboro. This woman was praising the decaf coffee, and baked goods. I opted for a lemon bar and an almond croissant with chocolate. The woman approved. Quick digression - very clean bathroom, w an interesting painted sink (see pix)....and an old Remington typewriter. The lemon bar was amazing. My lips were so puckered the rest of my 50+ mile ride home, I was fantasizing about my good friend, also named Lucy, and what I could do with those puckered lips. The maple toast was sweet, delicious and just what I wanted today. A cute place where you can sit out on the sidewalk or inside the cute little coffee shop you order at the bar. They call out your name for coffee and bring your dish to you. Everybody was nice and welcoming. Now when I walk into a building looking at me you can tell which way I voted and inside this place 99% of the people voted in a different direction. That doesn't bother me and it didn't bother them. They treated me with welcoming spirit and a wonderful meal. All I could think of is I woke up for breakfast but what did I care? Wonderful meal with wonderful people in a great little town.
