Wasn't greeted, came up to the window and heard them talking badly about someone ordering over the drive thru. Got our drinks, had about an inch of water, the most watered down coffee ever. When we got the food and drove off the food was cold in the middle. NEVER going back, my friend went back in for a napkin before we left and heard the boy working this morning (7-8 am) on the drive thru talking badly about us. I decided to hit the drive thru ... check out there menu and go for a Cold Brew with vanilla sweet cream foam . For those worried about calories , this is the drink for you . I asked for a medium and was surprised how big the medium size was . You don't get that size at Starbucks and the price was a bit cheaper . I was pleasantly surprised how good it was ! I did ask for a couple of Splenda just in case it wasn't sweet enough . The staff was quick and friendly ! If I'm in the area again , I would pick this place over Starbucks for cold brew ! Noticed out of all San Diego locations, this one had mobile ordering turned off which was a little strange/inconvenient, but I decided to visit anyway. We ran out of nespresso pods so I stopped by Dunkin. Once I ordered, they shared they ran out of oat milk (the only milk we drink) which put a damper on things. If mobile ordering was on, I would have been able to tell they were out of oat milk. The employee said they could just sell me two shots so I could make coffee at home (so I did) but they served it in a cold cup with ice. While I waited for them to remake the shots (warm) I had to listen to the employees complain about their coworkers and bosses. Regardless, coffee tastes strange.. almost like an acrylic plastic. Would return for the breakfast sandwiches, but do not recommend any hot coffee or donuts. The donuts are always served cold and I find that strange. read more

Never thought I'd see the day a Dunkin' staff refuses to give kids an extra cup of water. The service at this Dunkin' was horrible. This happened yesterday afternoon 08/24 around 4:30ish. A customer with two young children asked for an extra cup of water, and the manager on duty refused, saying "only one water per purchase." I stepped in and explained that I had made two purchases and asked if she could please give the boy an extra cup of water. She then changed it to "one water per family." When I asked to speak to the manager, she told me the manager wasn't there, yet she identified herself as the manager. She ended up charging the Mom 20 cents for the extra cup of "tap water" with ice!!! I've been a longtime customer, and have been to many Dunkin' locations and never experienced something like this. Refusing to give a child an extra cup of water and then charging for it is petty, unreasonable and unkind. Dunkin' needs to address this behavior and clarify its policies so customers aren't treated this way again. Absolutely unprofessional. read more

Came in today (Sunday) around noon. I figured it would be busy, but unfortunately not only was it busy...but it was also grossly understaffed. There were approximately 11 people standing to the left (again, approximately....could have been more or less) waiting for their drinks/food, and 9 people waiting in line ahead of me to order. (Counted 9) Was the customer at the register taking forever....of course they were. Is that Dunkin Donuts of El Cajon's fault?? Of course not. What is their fault tho, is literally having one employee for the front register, one employee for the drive through, and one employee making drinks. 3. That's it. With a line wrapped around the parking lot, and a line almost out the door, that should be unacceptable in any business. I turned around and left. This seems to be the trend with this Dunkin. High turnover of employees. Short staffed. Slow service. Incompetent franchise owner(s). Take your business elsewhere. You'll have a brighter and less stressful day because of it. read more

I have grown to really like Dunkin' especially because of their $6 meal deal. What a deal! You get a medium hot or iced coffee, a bacon and egg breakfast sandwich, and six quarter-sized hash brown tots. This deal is better than whatever Starbucks could ever serve or offer as I have made a conscious effort not to go back to Starbucks since they begin changing their company policies. Anyway, let's get back to my review of Dunkin. I stop by here often and I order ahead to skip the wait before work. I give it a solid 3 stars (until they improve) because of a couple of things: if you're in the drive thru, I shouldn't have to ask for condiments like ketchup or a straw every time I order. I think this should be something that they ask the customer and make a part of improving their customer service. On my last visit, my bacon was really burnt and made my drive to work less pleasurable. Please take out your sandwiches in a timely fashion so this doesn't happen and remember if you wouldn't eat it, why would a customer? Please consider this before doing a hand off because it can reduce the time you may have to remake things if you just do it right the first time. Nevertheless, I will still come back because for a high traffic fast service business, I think they do well managing things but there's definitely room for improvement. read more

Had to get my drink remade 3 times. Apparently, when you order online, the sticker that prints in store does not have the compete break down of what you order?????? So when i went inside for the drink to be remade correctly, the lady at the front was like "honey are you sure" i'm like yes, i'm sure. and she remakes it and uses the wrong milk AGAIN. I had to flask and make sure it was non dairy and she said the sticker doesn't say. I've been to several Dunkin's on the East and West coast and this location is by far the worst of them all. Dunkin needs to shut this one down or get new owners/management because this location is damaging their brand. From the lukewarm service to them always being out of products, this branch is so inconsistent. You never know what type of experience you're gonna have or if they're going to have the drink you want. I am a huge Dunkin fan and unfortunately this is the closest one to me. Whoever owns this franchise is a horrible business owner and doesn't seem to care about quality and customer experience. Btw they charge more for their drinks than other locations. So not only are you getting the worst Dunkin experience, they're charging you more for it. Don't ask for a remake or else the barista will throw a temper tantrum. I ordered a latte with almond milk. The espresso tasted so incredibly burnt and it didn't taste like it had almond milk. I kindly asked for a remake and made sure to clarify I wanted almond milk. First I'd like to say I do like Dunkin's app they offer. Great rewards and my daughter loves their mini bagel bites. BUT. Their services is horrible. I used my rewards for the first time a while back and redeemed 500 points for my iced coffee. Ordered it through the drive thru, no charge since I used my rewards. I get to the window and they give me a cold brew which I don't drink or order ever. The employee said i ordered it but i had my order on my app and it clearly said ICED COFFEE. she didn't take the time to read it and gave me such an attitude when i told her i didn't order that. The next time I ordered through the drive thru again on my app. I get to the window and it's the same girl. She didn't say ONE WORD to me. Handed me my order and still said NOT A WORD. 3. Today, I ordered through the app at the drive thru. I get to the location and the line is wrapped down to citi bank. I parked and went inside to see if I can get my order there instead. I ask the employee if I can still get my order here and he looks at me for 10 seconds, blank stare. Almost to ignore my question. Like I am inconveniencing him so much. Very rude. I am a manager at a food establishment and I would be ashamed if my employees treated customers this way. Also the new cups they have leak everywhere. I highly recommend the toasted almond no sugar Flavor! The customer service was great. The person at the register was patient and helpful. Been debating about giving this place a bad review but I've given them far more than enough chances to redeem themselves. The service at the store is so inconsistent that it's a Craps shoot every time I come here. 1. I ask for only one thing, light ice, yet that request is almost always ignored. Then I receive attitude for asking for it to be fixed even though it clearly says "light ice" right on the order label. 2. Drive through is almost always packed but it usually moves pretty quickly, except for one day it was taking extraordinarily long. I get to the window, pay, get my coffee and now I'm just waiting on my two wraps. The girl who helped me is involved in this very detailed convo about her boyfriend. I wait for a few mins more until she returns back to the window to ask me what I was waiting on. My wraps. My food was just sitting there the entire time waiting to be given out while she was too busy talking. And yes, it was cold. 3. Yesterday. I had taken a break from Dunkin for a few months because of the inconsistent service and sometimes impersonal service but I had a free drink and also wanted to try the rollups. The family in front of me got donut holes and I thought, "Those look good. I should really try them." (So I ordered a 10 pack for $3.79, 2 each of 5 different types of donut holes.) Girl asked for my order & got started on my coffee while I waited in line to officially pay. The girl was super friendly & outgoing, and was on top of my "light ice" request. Girl at the register was also friendly and offered suggestions. Yesterday was by far the best experience I had EVER had at that Dunkin' Donuts store. I tell her that I ordered the donut holes yesterday along with an iced latté, told her that there was nothing wrong with them, they were just too sweet for me. They just left her hanging. Then exasperated, she says "Ok, well I can give you something else" but is vague on what so I ask her to clarify. So she says, and this is the most ironic part, I can get a donut... 1. I paid $3.79 for 10 donut holes & I can get one donut in exchange for that?! 2. Did she miss the part where I stated that I didn't like their donuts?! I would've been happy with a wrap or something at least close to that price but the answer was "it had to be the same price". Yet, a single donut is NOT the same price. I ask, "Ok, can you just do a refund then?" "No, because it was from yesterday."Nevermind that by the time I would've been able to get back to them yesterday, they would've already been closed. Finally, I say forget it, leave with the donut hole box containing the remaining eight overly sweet donut holes. Decided not to buy a coffee and headed to my regular Starbucks, where the coffee is more expensive but my coffee is made correctly. And if I have a problem with my food, it's replaced with the same or something different, no questions asked. *One last thing that I almost forgot: They suck at keeping their stores properly supplied. For over a week, they were out of ham for their wraps and butter pecan syrup for their lattés. I totally understand closing in the next 30 mins but if you're open shouldn't you still be serving food? This Dunkin is closest to my home so I often come here for the convenience of location, however, they've never once gotten my order correct. Maybe it's a problem with the speaker box? I always ask for cold foam/ caramel drizzle and they never repeat it back to me so I double check before I head to the window and they always say "yep foam and drizzle.
