Another aspect to note is my friend needed an outlet to plug in her laptop. All outlets were taken except for a table that had the LED signs plugged in for ambiance. We asked to unplug these and they said we are not allowed to do that. All in not recommend the coffee or egg sandwiches.

The type of place that was very common in most towns before the rise of the large chain super markets. I'm not sure how long it's been around, but I suspect quite a while. The market has all the usually things you would expect from a local market. Plenty of junk food, milk, hot coffee and drinks, soda, local papers, sandwiches, ice cream, bread and even some can goods. The market isn't large but manages to fit in a couple of tables where people can sit to eat their donuts, drink coffee and perhaps engage in a bit of conversation or gossiping. Or you can sit out in front of the store, something that seems to be quite popular. A little local market that isn't going to have everything you need but since there really isn't anywhere else in Rockport it usually is enough. A whole lot quicker and more convenient than driving down to Gloucester for a donut or newspaper.

They don't know how to make any kind of frozen coolattas and I had to wait a half hour to get a frozen coffee that was made wrong which was not thick and had all ice cubes in it. After I ordered they kept waiting on other people and I had to ask them where was my order. He said in one minute but I had to wait at least another ten minutes and he did not let the machine run long enough and that's why it was more like an ice coffee. When I told him it wasn't made right he said he wasn't trained in how to use it. I had already paid for it so I ended up with an ic coffee which was actually less money. He didn't refund the difference which wasn't a big deal except for the principal and the worst customer service I've ever experienced anywhere in my life. They really need to train people better or get much better help. A wait of 30 minutes and then something not made right is unacceptable!

We fully recognize that our request was unorthodox -- we were three women traveling through Salem on a Sunday, caught in a bind when all the luggage storage options in town were unexpectedly closed. We only needed a safe place to leave our bags for two hours while we visited the Witch Museum. We were willing to pay, buy food and drinks, and even open our luggage to show we weren't carrying anything dangerous. We weren't demanding, just asking for a bit of grace & empathy in a stressful moment. Instead, Marie came out stomping, yelling, and treating us like a problem to get rid of. She spoke to us with utter disrespect, then slammed the door in our faces -- when a simple, "I'm sorry, we can't allow that," would have sufficed. The situation didn't call for hostility, and it was genuinely shocking to be treated so poorly when we were clearly in distressed and trying to be respectful. Thankfully, not everyone in the store was like that. The barista, Saniya, was a total angel. She showed compassion, patience, and understanding -- everything that Marie did not. Saniya saw our humanity and tried to help, even though her manager made it clear that kindness and customer service was not a priority in that moment. We understand that rules exist, but when people are clearly struggling and offering to compensate you for a small favor, you'd hope the person in charge could show some decency. Instead, Marie reminded us just how much people lack compassion when in power. But Saniya reminded us that there's still good out there, too. Thank you, Saniya and other male barista were truly be the type of humans that Starbucks should hire and promote. You were the light in a really disappointing situation. Sidenote, to the male barista & Saniya the drinks were great.
