The cafe has a cute aesthetic and the menu seems nice. The food and drinks came out quick. However when we received our food I did not know the egg and cheese sandwich I was getting would be something similar to what I'd get from McDonalds. This is not a fresh scrambled egg but a microwaveable egg you get at fast food places. I would not have ordered this if I knew this is the food quality they serve. However my friend had the salmon bagel and really enjoyed it! Though for the iced coffee we got the morning Grog and it tasted old and tasted slightly artificial. Another aspect to note is my friend needed an outlet to plug in her laptop. All outlets were taken except for a table that had the LED signs plugged in for ambiance. We asked to unplug these and they said we are not allowed to do that. All in not recommend the coffee or egg sandwiches. read more

The vibe here was so nice! It was full on a Sunday morning and the staff were so friendly. So many great donut flavours but I went with the banana cream! One the best donuts I've tried in a while, wish they had a place in Boston so I could try more. They did have limited coffee options, more hot coffees rather than espresso drink. First time in around 7:30am earlier today. Fast moving line no issue. Several unique coffee roasts. My breakfast appeared in less than five minutes (Bacon Egg Cheese on English Muffin.) Expertly prepared and sliced for convenience. Coffee was a medium Dark Sin; delicious. Deceptively roomy with lots of seating. (More than half the people in line with me took their orders to go.) We're seasonal visitors from out of state. Let me tell you, coming from a state that has a donut shop on practically every street corner, I've had my fair share of all types. These 2 (Boston cream and jelly filled sugar) are the absolute best I have ever laid my eyes and taste buds on. We happened to be exceptionally lucky this morning when they were temporarily out of Boston Creme...why? Because we waited the extra few minutes to get the next batch as they came out fresh. I don't say this often about donuts, but I believe I had an existential experience biting into that wonderfully fresh, delicate, and aromatic pastry of the Rockport God's. As for the coffee, Dark Sin iced is our choice of the morning. It was a hoppin' place this morning, and all of the employees were gracious, patient, and kind. Service was exceptionally speedy with smiles all around. A great little shop attached to their main restaurant, Brackett's Oceanview. There is plenty of seating that you can even enjoy the ocean view. The inside is comfy, lots of seating and a nice view out the back onto the water. I ordered a hot tea (English breakfast) and the B-STAC sandwich. The sandwich was very yummy - fresh, yummy ingredients, and a nice portion for the price. My dad ordered a drip coffee (Costa Rican blend) and the sausage/egg/cheese breakfast sandwich. The coffee was fine, definitely not bad, but he thought the sandwich was very good and very reasonably priced. Went in looking for some recommended donuts, ended up getting a couple that were amazing. The sign showed some breakfast specials so while enjoying the donuts also ordered their skillet breakfast, one with bacon and one with corned beef hash. Brothers Brew feels like more of a diner in terms of the ambiance than a small coffee shop. That being said their coffee is really good and supposedly their donuts are excellent. They were basically sold out by the time we swung by, so we couldn't give them a try. The lemonade/iced Team (Arnold Palmer) was pretty good- not too sweet. There is only another coffee shop in the area on Bearskin Neck, but it was really packed and this was on the way back to our car. The Dark Sin is just as great as everyone makes it out to be. The cinnamon cocoa combo takes it to the next level. I'm sure the hot version is delicious, but the iced version left a little to be desired for the sweet coffee drinkers in my family. They got the iced Dark Sin with cream and sugar, which was literally that instead of cream and simple syrup which is standard at most coffee shops I've been to for iced drinks. This left the coffee "creamy and bitter" in their words instead of the drink they are used to. Next time, I'd ask for maybe an iced Dark Sin vanilla latte? Or maybe just simple syrup? I'm not even sure what they have because the only menu I saw had the sizes and prices and foods, not the drink options of what they have the ability to make. On the other hand, I was very pleased with my iced Dark Sin with cream as I usually only add cream in my coffees. This place is the best kept local secret in Rockport. The Grog coffee is outstanding, I actually crave it! They make their own donuts which are the absolute best I've ever tasted. The breakfast sandwiches are big and delicious with just the right amount of everything. The coffee rolls I think must only be available on weekends or they sell out super fast during the week, but definitely try one! Best of all is the staff. Everyone there ROCKS!
