Friendly, helpful staff (even super early on a Sunday) and the donuts were seriously the best we've had in the area. We got glazed chocolate, toasted coconut, Boston cream, honey dip, and the sour cream donut. The toasted coconut and Boston cream were favorites. The menu includes a simple array of coffee (hot and cold), an array of bagels with a variety of cream cheese options (I'm told the bacon scallion is excellent), and some breakfast sandwich options. I decided to go breakfast burrito as that's usually my go to breakfast item when it's available, and an iced coffee. The iced coffee tasted great, but the burrito, which I immediately regrettably noticed after I ordered is made with microwaved eggs, was only ok, not the best. I'll definitely be back to get an iced coffee next time in the area, but will skip the breakfast sandwiches and go for the bagels. He told me that he'd heard good things about the pizza here and thought we should order one, so we did. We got a mushroom pizza. It was going to take about 20 minutes to be ready so we finished up our other shopping and then went to pick it up. I am sorry to say to me the pizza had little merit. The dough was too thick too soft and underbaked. The sauce was bland. Tom liked it a bit better than I did but agreed that this pizza doesn't merit a repeat. I limit my carbs and this pizza isn't worth wasting a single one. Given that this was a trial of the pizza I will give it an overly generous 3 stars but it was more like a 2.5. I didn't want to change the star count for the store itself because essentially I am talking about just one product. So shop at the supermarket, pass on the pizza.

Yes, it can be crowded but it's not like you're being knocked about. The vast majority of other customers always are pleasant enough whether I've been there at peak or 'off' hours. If you absolutely can't stand crowds (or are a rather unpleasant person), you should certainly go to one of Hanover's other grocery stores where there is much more room to contemplate the inflated prices. I love that virtually every cashier is usually open and there are none of those frustrating and annoying self-checkout areas. And the employees are always busy (cheerfully so) which seems to indicate a generally happy workforce. Market Basket has done it right and I am so glad they came to Hanover!
