I love Dunkin Donits. Their iced coffee and Boston cream donuts are my jam. But this location is the worst in the metro. I stopped going to this location months ago due to poor service but was close and decided to try again. What a mistake, I sat in the drive through, at the window for 10 minutes while the employees fumbled around with making an iced coffee and a latte. This location seems to have more employees. Another location always has to close early due to being understaffed. The other location closed at 12pm last week. I had an offer for a free medium coffee on Mondays and decided to use it today. I love their coffee. A lot cheaper than Starbucks and other places. read more

Went there at 9am, probably never go back to this one. Staff need retrained, zero customer service skills. The day I visited the drive through cashier spent most of her time removing her mask and scratching her nose and eyes and never once satanized, kept on working as if all was fine, This behavior is not tolerable in the the best of conditions, never mind in a pandemic. I have been to this location on McGee near N. Oak and 96th many times in the past, but since December 2023 the service has been horrible with incredibly long waits. I was there 2/11/2024 just before noon and waited in the drive up line for just over 20 minutes in which time they managed to serve only 3 vehicles. I left and went to Quick Trip. Although this Dunkin' is within walking distance of where we live I prefer to drive a few more miles south to a different location. At the Dunkin I'm rating, I stood at the counter and talked to associates as they walked by and asked if anyone was available to take my order. They spent the bulk of their time with the drive thru line. Wondering why I can't give zero stars? I am very disappointed in this particular Dunkin'. I order on my phone, expecting it to be faster. Ended up waiting for 20 minutes before they even addressed me. I had to ask for my order, their response "oh, someone must have taken it." Finally get my order. The donuts were completely wrong and the hash browns and sandwiches were so terrible (tasted like burnt plastic) that my husband and I spit them out. I addressed this with their home office and they stated that someone should get back to me in 48 hours. I emailed stating I have had no response no less that 3 times and still have no resolution. I visit this shop on N. Oak fairly regularly. I most often use the drive thru between the hours of 2p and 5 pm. I don't find a line during this time very often. The staff is always friendly and always gets my order right. On the rare occasion they are out of the cup size i want they have accommodated my request to change my order graciously. I'm a big fan of their iced vanilla latte. For me it's worth the wait in line if I go during peak hours. My only complaint is that I think they need to cook the croissants a bit longer. read more

I probably visit this store once a week or so since it on my work route. I usually use the drive thru and I have never had bad service. The drive thru people are always friendly and efficient. I was really impressed one day when the drive thru worker (it may have been an owner or co-owner) had nail polish that matched the DD colors. It was true spirit and made my day. I like the fact that I can get my 20 oz DD travel mug filled and either pick up a snack, breakfast or lunch on the run. The coffee is always hot, and predictable, and I feel taken care of at this DD. This store opened about the same time as one in Independence, so it has been hard not to compare the two stores since I frequent both. This one is great and my favorite DD in the metro. read more

So, our order was correct which is why they get 2 stars. Everything (8 donuts most filled and iced) were dumped in a bag with nothing between them and half upside down. My husband grew up in the Maryville area, and we used to consider it a treat to swing by the Dunkin Donuts in St. Joe on roadtrips to and from KC. We were excited when they decided to finally open a few locations in the metro. We have been here at least four times, at varying times of day (8 AM, 5 PM, 9 PM,) and every time they have been out of nearly everything. No bavarian kreme (the whole reason to go here!) no crullers, sometimes not even any glazed. On this particular occasion, there weren't even enough donuts to cobble together a dozen, so we ended up only getting six. The employees are rude and have no sense of urgency when there is a long line. In general, things don't seem to run very smoothly here. It also drives me crazy when someone goes out of their way to "correct" me for pronouncing something correctly. "You mean 'crooolers'?" No, I don't. The six donuts that we did end up with were stale. As far as I'm concerned, we still don't really have a Dunkin Donuts in KC. read more

This was my first trip to a Dunkin Donuts and the first impression was not well received. The line was long, but moved fairly quickly, and here is where it starts to go down hill. The lady who took our order, Patty, was grumpy. They were out of chocolate milk, out of glazed donut holes. They were not utilizing the receipt number system for drink orders, people were taking other peoples drinks. The drink lady was just yelling out decaf coffee, etc....and setting the drinks out for anyone to grab, pretty sure more than one person drinks decaf coffee. The men's bathroom had toilet paper on the floor and was dirty. The interior of the business had crumbs on the floor and the trash can by the door was over flowing and needed to be emptied. The donuts were dry tasting and the tables were sticky from food. I will not be back to this establishment. read more

This Dunkin Donut is right around the corner of my house. That is the most redeeming thing about it. If you are going to visit this establishment go with a lot of patience. The lines are long not due to the volume of customers but the speed in which you are served. There seems to be enough staff working behind the counter but the pace in which they work makes for a miserable morning if you are in a hurry. ALWAYS check your order before leaving to jump into your car or pull away from the drive through, you will be glad you did. Donuts! Doughnuts! There are so many donuts to choose from you will end up buying more then you intended too. I guess that's the point that D.D. is trying to make. Any who lets start with the coffee.. I am not a big fan of just plain black coffee. I always have to add creamer & sugar to my cup. D.D. coffee was really good. It was a lot better then I expected & it didn't cause major stomach discomfort as some coffees seem to do to my stomach. The coffee was not bitter, either just nice & smooth. The real show stopper was the donuts. They are more of a cake type donut, not to sweet & not dry at all. We love them so much that sometimes we will have fast-food dinner next door & then drive thru here for desert even though the other fast food place offers deserts! On one occasion I tried the breakfast sandwich. It looked super good on the menu but when I opened it it was super bad & not bad meaning good but bad meaning bad. The meat was less then half the size of the bread. I never tasted it because it was mostly bread. I returned my breadwich to the store & spoke with the manager. She stated that they have told corporate about other people complaining about the size of the meat but nothing has been done. She was very apologetic & offered me a free cup of coffee which is declined. I will still continue to go to this location for coffee or donuts but will probably pass on the sandwiches. This is the worst Dunkin' I have ever been to. I have gone to this location several times, over a spread out period of time, each time thinking that this time will be better than the last. I have been wrong every time. It is the only thing this location has got going for them; their consistency of being crap. This location must know that they are horrible and expect not to have many customers, in turn ordering very little for their restock, as they are always running out of food. It's not just for the day either, it's until they get their next shipment; their words. On top of that, when they do have chicken for their sandwiches or hash browns or whatever bread is used on the sandwiches that I have ordered at the time, it takes 15-20 minutes to get my food in the drive thru. Half the time they request me to pull around the front, where they'll bring me my food when it's ready, which extends the wait even further, and half of the time of that, I have to go inside, finding out they forgot about my order. I am unsure how this place is still open. It is an awful example of Dunkin' Donuts, so much I hesitate to go to any other when my family wants coffee, donuts, or breakfast. read more

If there's one thing that's certainly comes to mind: its consistency. Every time I go to this establishment I know I'm guaranteed quality that I'm purchasing. It could be any of the products being sold, the donuts coffee... you name it, you know what you're going to expect and it's a quality product. The only real variable I would say would be the service. I do believe it Duncan tries it's best to bolster a good image of the company because they do have a quality product. The only thing that really needs to be worked on, is the service. From what I can tell the Wornall store, could use some improvement. Any of the other stores that I have visited usually end up being in the suburbs and carry quality and good service.. Store I visited today up north service was average to above average. And I know I have visited the store out off of 135th or 151st.... In any case they were quite good and very fast. Flash forward a year and DD has definitely made HUGE strides in their customer service, counter staff and donuts! My last visit a few weeks ago was downright shocking! And shocking in a good way! :) Every single donut request was met with a cheerful response and a courteous confirmation afterward. I could tell the guy was smiling...as most people in service know, the customer can tell you are smiling by the tone of your voice. The donuts were all tasty and freshly baked. Sure, it's not a hipster donut place but it certainly does the job! It's great to see DD has stepped up their game! Congrats! read more

Been waiting FOUR years for a DD to open in the North KC region! After having stayed in Boston where there is a DD on every street corner, this was a long time coming. The employees are friendly and it is very very busy. On Saturday and Sunday mornings you can easily see 10-20 cars in the drive-through! The only problem I've had is that I like extra cream and extra sugar for my coffee - and I've almost always gotten only cream and sugar - no extra, in spite of repeated asking. The coffee tasted liked it was watered down. I told the lady and she told me she would remake it. The remake was even worse. I explained to the lady that the coffee was super water down. Not impressed with this location! I love Dunkin' Donuts, but this location leaves a lot to be desired and does a disservice to the chain. If this had been my first trip to one I'd never try another. If you go in after 6:00 PM the selection is extremely limited. There were no glazed donuts available. The bathrooms leave a lot to be desired as well. My wife went into the bathroom and one toilet paper dispenser was empty and it was impossible to start the tissue on the other roll. So I'm in this Dunkin pretty regularly, maybe three or four days a week, and I wanted to not only thank the staff for great service, laid back and wonderful humor among them, and always getting my order right, but also I also wanted to mention an incident I witnessed a couple of weeks ago, that made me really happy that I choose this place to hang out. I was sitting in the lobby, waiting for my friend, playing on my phone, drinking my always-awesome coffee and chilling. This guy walks in who I'm pretty sure is homeless on sight. He's dirty, disheveled, and just looks exhausted. He walks up to the counter and basically says: Hey brother, I'm really hungry. If I were to clean your parking lot, could you maybe spot me a donut and something to drink? The manager is standing right there beside the employee, and smiles at him, shakes his head and just says: I got you man. So yeah, I'm feeling pretty good about this situation so far, and it gave me a boost to my morning spirit. They give the guy a bag of donuts, and a huge coffee. But the guy that runs the store (Bryan) wasn't just giving the guy free stuff on Dunkin's tab, which they probably wouldn't have minded, but he rang the order in, pulled out his own wallet, and paid for it himself! Yes, I wish that I had turned on my camera because I think the guy would have been able to get some good recognition, but it happened so fast and I wasn't expecting to be floored while hanging out at a Dunkin' Donuts. So while I would have happily written about how much I love my Dunkin' Donuts coffee and my long john, I thought I should include this as well because it's really more important than that.
