Get a friggn toaster!! It's amazing how much and how often this place routinely squanders and botches their opportunity to just do OK. DO NOT GO HERE. And, yet. On a recent trip to the Glens Falls area I ordered the same breakfast sandwich from Spot Coffee three mornings in a row. All the mornings I was in the area in fact. It was called Mike's breakfast sandwich. And, look. I don't know who Mike is--but his taste in breakfast sandwich toppings? Top notch. I got mine on a plain bagel and it comes with egg, provolone, and cream cheese. It's almost poetic in its simplicity. And, sheer perfection. They also have coffee, of course, which I very much enjoyed as well. Each morning I got one of their specialty lattes. One morning I got their spiced cookie latte and the other two mornings I got their frosty mint mocha. Both were fabulous and I was able to sub almond milk, which was great. I ordered delivery and they packaged everything beautifully and it arrived still quite warm. Thank you Spot Coffee for making this girl's winter work travel just a skosh more warm and welcoming. Grab a napkin before you do. As I was treating her, my aunt decided to choose one of the less pricey drinks (cafe latte) which was basically just coffee-flavored ice water. In the end, my aunt ended up stealing most of my drink anyway - a new summer blend: brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso. I was prepared for it to taste bland too, but it was surprisingly strong for a blonde espresso. The brown sugar and oatmilk combo lended well to its smokey flavor without being overpoweringly sweet. I haven't had a Starbucks drink I enjoyed this much since I discovered the hot chestnut praline latte a couple winters ago. Needless to say, by the end, we were practically fighting over the last sip. And on the way out of town the next day, I ended up ordering shaken espressos for both of us to take on the road. I might just have to see if I can track down this drink one more time at a local Starbucks this summer...
