What a cool, great place!…read more I love Spot Coffee and had no idea they were outside of Buffalo. This place had a very cool, jazzy vibe. Loved it more than most of the Spots I've been to in Buffalo...

And, yet. On a recent trip to the Glens Falls area I ordered the same breakfast sandwich from Spot Coffee three mornings in a row. All the mornings I was in the area in fact. It was called Mike's breakfast sandwich. And, look. I don't know who Mike is--but his taste in breakfast sandwich toppings? Top notch. I got mine on a plain bagel and it comes with egg, provolone, and cream cheese. It's almost poetic in its simplicity. And, sheer perfection. They also have coffee, of course, which I very much enjoyed as well. Each morning I got one of their specialty lattes. One morning I got their spiced cookie latte and the other two mornings I got their frosty mint mocha. Both were fabulous and I was able to sub almond milk, which was great. I ordered delivery and they packaged everything beautifully and it arrived still quite warm. Thank you Spot Coffee for making this girl's winter work travel just a skosh more warm and welcoming. Get to it!

But my aunt and I were visiting from out of town for a family wedding up in Ticonderoga, and this was right next to the Clarion Inn. To escape the summer heatwave after a morning of window shopping at the local outlet stores, this place was a godsend despite how crowded and noisy it could get inside. Just watch out for the counter where all the orders are set for taking. With all the melting cold drinks, it's like receiving your beverage via a sticky water slide. Gross. Grab a napkin before you do. As I was treating her, my aunt decided to choose one of the less pricey drinks (cafe latte) which was basically just coffee-flavored ice water. In the end, my aunt ended up stealing most of my drink anyway - a new summer blend: brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso. I was prepared for it to taste bland too, but it was surprisingly strong for a blonde espresso. The brown sugar and oatmilk combo lended well to its smokey flavor without being overpoweringly sweet. I haven't had a Starbucks drink I enjoyed this much since I discovered the hot chestnut praline latte a couple winters ago. Needless to say, by the end, we were practically fighting over the last sip. And on the way out of town the next day, I ended up ordering shaken espressos for both of us to take on the road. I might just have to see if I can track down this drink one more time at a local Starbucks this summer...

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a Starbucks. The store was absolutely filthy…read moreinside, which should've been my first red flag. But the real issue was the incredibly rude service. I travel for work and always have to get my food tax exempt. I have all the paperwork, and I know it's something that can be done with a simple button at the register. When I told the barista, that I was going to need her to do tax exempt she snapped back with the nastiest tone "You're gonna need me to what??!" She wasn't just confused which could have been somewhat understandable, she was dismissive, unprofessional, and had zero interest in even trying to figure it out. When I asked for a manager, she said she was the shift lead, but still refused to make any effort to figure it out. It's one thing to not know how to do something, but to treat a customer with that kind of attitude is completely unacceptable. I understand that tax exempt is kind of annoying but it's not that weird. Also all places do tax exempt and I know for a fact starbucks does it because I've had no issues a other starbucks locations. Between the filthy store and the rude, unhelpful staff, this location was a complete embarrassment to the Starbucks brand.
