This place was so good they I actually came here two days in a row for breakfast and coffee. Definitely recommend any of their coffee options, I tried the nitro cold brew latte and the Nutella latte. Very cute cafe with a lot of seating and very friendly staff- I love the aesthetic. We got large hot vanilla and Nutella lattes. The foam on my Nutella latte tasted a little burnt but the coffee itself tasted great. Both smelled and tasted like fresh, good quality coffee. My review from 5 years ago was for Spektor not Kru but it appears when Kru bought the business the reviews on yelp became inaccurate: Beware, older reviews are for another establishment that had a completely different menu and staff! Kru coffee took over this establishment that was formerly "specktor" a couple of years ago (and prior to spektor, was "coffee planet" before that). Kru does not have the same beverages, food options, staff, hours or service that spektor had - just the same building. Everything is lovely when they have it but it seems they have major issues with keeping coffee, teas and foods in stock and half the menu seems to be out of stock at all times. read more

It's a whole vibe. Real coffee cups (I don't know why but, coffee just tastes better coming from one), a welcoming ambiance/team, and a delicious cold brew. Basically couldn't ask for anything more...and then you see they have a small free library, and it gets better. My go-to spot in Glens Falls just became my go-to when visiting. We were in town for a wedding and stopped at this little cafe on our way to the airport in NYC. The pumpkin latte was probably one of the best we've ever had, and the breakfast sandwiches had so much flavor. The prices are super reasonable and the interior is really cute and homey. I know this is obnoxious to say, but there's nothing I can personally say more positive than that this is Brooklyn coffee shop-quality. They feature beans from Kru in Saratoga, and the barista recommended an Ethiopian Yirgacheffe pour over, which was excellent. The space itself is a cool little spot tp hang in downtown Glens Falls. There's a coffee bar/counter, and the Front area had the de rigueur cool coffee shop assortment of random/vintage couches, chairs and tables, with a couple of board games and a lending library. Menu sounded interesting, wish I had been hungry. Place is incredibly welcoming, making me wish I had more time to stay and relax, as a quality coffee shop should. This place has been Kru for over a year, not Spektor. My girlfriend grew up in this area but it's my first visit. I didn't have high expectations for coffee in the Glens Falls area, but Kru blew them all away. Service was friendly and fast, quality of coffee drinks and food was excellent, and the decor is clean and comfortable. So far I've had a cortado, a cappuccino, and an almond joy nitro (nitro cold brew with coconut and chocolate). And I ordered a "build your own" breakfast sandwich. Everything was top notch. They even make bulletproof coffee, using your choice of two different recipes. But my bulletproof days are behind me and I didn't have one. I can't see any reason to have coffee or breakfast anywhere else in this town. This will be my regular spot. read more

Great coffee spot with some delicious breakfast options. I ordered a mocha caffe latte and my girlfriend had the caramel latte. Both were outstanding, with the right combination of espresso and frothed milk giving the latte a velvety texture. I ordered the smash up with salmon, which had avocado spread on two large pieces of toast, topped with lox and a poached egg with a strong hint of lime. Very satisfying without being overly heavy or rich. The layout of the place is a bit confusing at first, as you grab a seat and review the menu. There were no breakfast menus out and we had to flag the barista behind the counter down to get a menu. Then you have to go to the register to place your order, which I missed at first because it's an iPad POS system. Not a huge deal, but I can see if we went at a peak time, the confusion would have been annoying. This place used to be pretty decent coffee. I came here a little over a year ago and had a pour over. I remember thinking the coffee was pretty damn good for upstate New York. I believe they were roasting their own coffee. Today I had a pour over. Paid the premium for it expecting it to be somewhat similar to what I had experienced before. ... the coffee tasted like truck stop coffee. So burnt, so acidic, so chalky. I couldn't drink it black. I poured some out and loaded it with cream and sugar. Even then I couldn't bare the terrible flavor. I'm left with this resonant chalky, burnt taste in my nose and tongue. On the bright side the place is nice, staff is friendly, food looks good, but I didn't have any. Update: I bought the Kru coffee from them by the bag to determine if the coffee was bad or the brewing process. Seems to be pretty decent coffee. Perhaps they have to improve their brew process.
