I doubt anybody reads these because kellys roots is well known and loved by now. But if you're new to it and looking for reviews...be careful when ordering their chicken. If you don't ask for well done it sometimes comes like it's been briefly microwaved. Chewy, rubbery, gross and over the years I have found they can be pretty inconsistent with salads. Sometimes a bowl of lettuce and a couple crumbles of cheese. Other times it's loaded. Considering how expensive it is ($18-20 for an online ordered salad!), they should be way more consistent. Safe to say I don't make it a regular stop, you just never know what you're gonna get. Unless it's a smoothie or their homemade chips. Always good. read more

The Italian sandwich was really good with the ciabatta roll. Seasoning was not overwhelming to hide the flavors. The tuna melt on the other hand was over salted and basically ruined. One bite and I could tell it was not going to be worth finishing. The service at the counter was not overly competent given that the order needed to be repeated for simple menu items. Had a delicious lunch here. Tried the turkey bacon wrap, the beet goat cheese salad and an almond milk cappuccino. The salad was a standout with very crisp greens, nicely roasted pecans and beautiful beets. Balsamic dressing was freshly made and really delicious. Was passing through town and saw that Kelly's had a real high Yelp score, so decided to go there. Got there around 1pm on a Monday and the parking lot was packed. I figured I made a good choice for a place to eat. There were a few tables available outside, so my wife grabbed on while I went in to order. A long line was ahead of me, but that gave me time to read the menu up on the wall. Wow, too many great choices. Settled on a spicey chicken wrap and chicken pesto wrap. Both were excellent. I think the person taking the orders was in training, because there was someone else watching over her during the order taking process so everything went smooth. Good job there! A server brought our order out to us at our table and we cleaned up after ourselves. It's a nice atmosphere indoors and outside. Plenty of tables under the roof and out on the grass. The locals must love the place and it's great for travelers as well. read more

Oh my goodness. Absolutely delicious and diversified food. The cupcakes from Baked by Jordan?? Fabulous. They had unique flavors. The food was outstanding and the service even more. I got an iced caramel latte with almond milk and the caramel all fell to the bottom. It was extremely hard to mix and as soon as the cashier saw me struggling to mix it she offered to pour it in another cup for me. She cracked a joke and said that it happens to her too. Awesome atmosphere, too. It's super young and convenient- which is exactly my type of dining. We ordered a lot and the food came out extremely quick. I've been about 4 times- HIGHLY recommend. I'm a little upset that it's far from where I'm staying. I'm picky about coffee too and I drank it all up wanting more. read more

What a fantastic place! Hubs and I recently took a trip to Vermont and needed somewhere convenient to stop right off the New York State Thruway. The menu for Kelly's looked great, and they have healthy options. With a long drive ahead of us, I decided to get a peppermint iced latte. It was delicious although I did not get a ton of peppermint flavor and I wished I had ordered the larger size because it was a well-made, refreshing coffee. Since I was trying to be reasonably healthy, I decided on the summer salad (Greens, strawberries, goat cheese, cucumber/onion/tomatoes, balsamic). I added grilled chicken to the salad and overall, the salad was fantastic. The goat cheese was plentiful but not overwhelming, the balsamic was flavorful and came separately on the side, the strawberries were fresh and perfectly ripe, and I'm assuming they soak their red onions to take the sting out. The chicken that I added was a bit disappointing. It was a good portion but needed more seasoning. In contrast to all of the flavors and textures of the salad, the chicken fell flat. My husband's roast beef sandwich was outstanding. It was thickly packed with roast beef and the meat was rare and incredibly juicy. The sandwich was incredibly flavorful and I was somewhat jealous. Baked goods in the case looks delicious but I skipped those in favor of trying to be healthy. There are a few tables inside, plus a counter with stools as well as a larger covered outdoor patio area. We had to wait a few minutes for a table inside as we went during lunchtime. Overall it's a really nice cafe and I would definitely visit regularly if we lived closer. If I'm ever in the area, I would definitely eat here again. read more

The online menu was very easy to navigate. While there was a huge line of people placing in person orders the staff was quick to assist me for my pre-paid order. I had the hummus wrap. It was flavorful and the veggies were clearly fresh. I didn't try the dessert but the window looked super cute. They have picnic tables and umbrellas outside. I will definitely be back. read more

I've been back a few times since my last review. The coffee station is still sad. You should still order only what's written on the wall. The atmosphere is the same.... One big change. The staff seems to actually care. We were greeted with smiles. The food has always been really well done, but now the staff swings by the table and asks if you like it, they also grabbed our plates (baskets) from our table when we finished. We're definitely going back for breakfast burritos and sandwiches. You should too. I feel good just thinking about it. read more

Came for breakfast today with a friend and our 2 children. Had to repeatedly go up to the counter and ask for parts of our order that didn't arrive. Ordered an omelette that came out as scrambled eggs. My friend had 2 items from her order never come out at all. The girl at the counter never apologized for any of the issues, and despite our being very polite about everything she was actually making comments and laughing at us with the other girls from the kitchen. Some of the rudest customer service I've ever experienced. As for the rest of the food we ordered, the oatmeal special was good and pancakes were awful. If you are looking for a fresh and "healthy" meal, this is a good option. The inside of the establishment is very bright and airy. Service was good. The main negative are the prices. The prices seem high for what we ordered. We ordered the gourmet grilled cheese sandwich. It was $9. This is the same price as all the meat based sandwiches. The multigrain bread was toasted very well but it definitely had a lot of butter on it. It was okay but nothing wild. Flavor seemed lacking. We also ordered the market salad. The vinaigrette was very tart and overpowered the pears and blue cheese. The salad was $10. This feels like a glorified Panera. I want this place to succeed because there are few good lunch places in the area. I hope to come back soon and have a great experience! read more

Very nice esthetics, deck space. Food is good however fried eggs are not served as ordered. You get what you get, broken cooked yolks. Any other breakfast place gives you good looking eggs, not broken or they give you an extra egg cook perfectly. Last visit a waitress was very rude to another customer. He asked for his order that was called in. She told him there was no order x2 making him appear to feel uncomfortable. Finally she asked if he has a cater order. He said yes she barked "you should have said that!". He said he didn't know the rules. They need to work on customer service big time. No smiles except from the lady with short dark hair.
