I went in today to get a coffee and some wake up rapes for work and I walk in and I see a this young man at the front desk very nice and kind named Jackson Clark he said he had great personality and very good at make my wake up rapes. This young man should get a raise for the way he treated me and the way he enhanced my experience even more. Completely unrelated to the nice young man they could be a little better in cleaning... Stopped in at the Manteo Dunkin this morning for a coffee. Pull up to the drive through and order a medium black. I asked them to leave a little room so I can add some ice and asked for a cup with a few ice cubes so I can add it myself. Historically, when I ask for a few cubes, they put too many in and then my coffee is lukewarm at best. I like hot coffee but I have a tender tongue. It needs to be a little cooler for me to drink it right away. My total is $4-and something. I look at the screen and see they charged me $1 for a cup of water. Pull up to the window and tell them I don't want a cup of water, just a few ice cubes and I'm not paying $1 for it. The three girls behind the window look at me like I have three heads and they don't know what to do with what I just said. They are whispering when lady #4 comes around the corner, at a level 8 attitude and says: if you want us to put the ice in, we will. But if you want to do it it's going to cost you a dollar. People, I've not had coffee yet. I'm running on four hours of sleep and when I tell you I wanted to match her energy, the adult side of me just told them I'm not doing this and pull away from the window. My next stop was Dunkin in Nags Head where they proceeded to give me exactly what I requested... without charging me $1 for some ice in a cup. read more

From the get go we had absolutely fantastic service from a young man by the name of Barkley. He complimented my outfit which thoroughly made my day. He then perso made my food in drinks in record time and it was maybe the best coffee I have ever had. I am looking forward to my next trip to this dunkin during my vacation and it has been the highlight of my trip so far. I realized now why we always go to Starbucks. The drinks were not good at all. Part was my fault for not knowing the flavor stuff is already in but the rest wasn't. The apple cranberry refresher tasted like bathroom spray the apple cinnamon kind. It was so disgusting then the strawberry coconut refresher also just tasted so fake and just off. The food was decent. The avocado toast was really good and the reason for the 2 stars. My husbands sandwich the bread was so hard he struggled to eat it and the donuts we expected better from a place with donuts in the name. read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Every single employ acted confused and in a daze, literally like they had no clue wtf we were ordering or asking. We ordered 3 donuts (already baked & on the shelf) and a sausage egg & cheese bagel. After waiting 10 minutes we asked for our donuts. Then, after waiting 25 minutes for my dad's bagel & him having to ask about it and tell them what he ordered THREE TIMES. He screamed "Fuck this shit! Get my GD money & Let's go!" & walked out. Then, the big ol' manager FINALLY showed his face & was talking about calling the cops. Why? Because my dad finally flipped out on y'all? There were 3 people in front of us who also waited 20 minutes. One lady's order was wrong twice. Not sure if they ever got it right. Oh & the big ol' manager said no one spoke English. ????? Ok, well let's not have them doing a job they can't do. Seriously the worst experience ever. Okay, I'm mad. I don't usually write angry Yelps unless I think someone was truly incompetent. For the most part, I want businesses to succeed. Wife and I on our way to the beach and wanted a quick breakfast. Went into DD and were the only customers in the store. One car in drivethru. Ordered a breakfast sandwich, small coffee and Coolata. Cashier was very pleasant and the store was inviting. Within minutes, the Coolata is delivered. 5 minutes go by and nothing else. My wife wondering if they went to the store for eggs. 10 minutes and I ask an employee about my sandwich. "Yeah, they're getting it," he says. 15 minutes and no sandwich. Other customers who came into the store getting their orders and leaving. I ask same employee again. "Yeah, they're getting it." Eighteen minutes later I ask the cashier again about my food. Seems someone marked our order as completed after the Coolata was delivered. Staff ask what I ordered because it's no longer on their electronic queue. I dig the receipt out of their trashcan as other patrons look on. I get my sandwich 20 minutes after ordering (no exaggeration). I speak to the manager and explain that I inquired twice and the employee simply assumed that someone was working on it, but nobody actually checked. Manager apologizes and says he'll discuss with the employee, but offers no consolation. I say "I understand, I just want you to know where the problem occurred." I'm not a guy that worries about $3.50, but this manager could have shown some contrition by giving me a free donut coupon or comping the sandwich. He didn't, but at that point, I'm still not writing a bad Yelp review. I get outside, open the sandwich and it's the *$%@! wrong item. Arggghhhh! Even more frustrating is that I tipped the staff 20% at the cash register when I ordered. Most of the staff are high school kids. While they created the problem, it was the manager's job to resolve it. He failed. I hope this review results in improvements for other customers, but I will never visit again. read more

We always come here at least once when we are down here. We've always experienced good service and yesterday when we went there the lady who waited on us was very nice and friendly. Donuts were great too. We wish the one up in Lynchburg, Va was run as well as this location. We always are able to get the types we like but the one at home is always out of glazed, chocolate covered, and Boston Cremes whenever we go in there even late in the morning. read more

We did a mobile order for a strawberry donut, on the website it said available. We got to the drive thru and they told us they don't have any strawberry left. I think it's a pain ordering a donut and not being able to get the kind you want even tho it says it's in stock. Also got our order wrong. read more

I wanted to try the local dunkin in Mateo and was in utter disbelief at my experience with this franchise. They are secretly operating as a McDonald's but have the aesthetics of a dunkin. For example, I asked for a cold coffee with some munchkins ...... however I received a mcCafe coffee and a breakfast sandwich from McDonald's. Not only am I confused with how they made the food... but to get the exact wrapper as McDonald's is beyond me. If you are someone who is in for a surprise (I surely was ) , check this "dunkin" out. This Dunkin Donuts is in a convenient location, and is spacious and clean. The staff is friendly. The food was tasty. The coffee is delicious. We were glad to have this convenient option to grab a quick bite or coffee near where we were staying in Manteo on our weekend trip at the Outer Banks. read more

Weird staff with awkward customer service skills. The guy who took our order at the drive thru kept saying, "You really like those lattes, don't you." Then, when I tried to pay, he continued to question us: "Weren't you here yesterday?" "Didn't you order 40 coffees and 2 lattes?" "Which do you like better, hot or cold lattes?" My wife says he was just flirting with me, but nevertheless, it was all strange and unprofessional. I just want coffee, not a date. read more

This must be the slowest Dunkin in existence. 20 minutes for 8 cars to get through the drive in. The quickest was about a minute, the longest about 5 minutes. Once in line there isn't any way to leave the line. To top it off, they didn't put the top on the coffee right, so half of a large coffee ended up all over me, the car seat, the floor and the door. read more

POOR CUSTOMER SURVIVE! The drive thru line was out onto the road & after being in the car with the whole family for 12 hours straight (we drove to obx through the night) we decided to go inside to order COFFEE. that's it. just ONE coffee. & they refused to take our order inside at the counter & made us place an online order. whatever i get it; covid, busy hour, understaffed, i get it i work at a drive thru! so when 3 online orders failed they denied help to us. & said our only option was the drive thru with the line out on the road for our singular coffee... read more

I'm a daily customer at this DD and every day no matter what time of day I stop in it's always quick and they are always friendly. Since Covid the inside has been closed so that has made the line unbelievably long in the mornings. Even with that situation they still get their customers in and out quickly. Sometimes i have to go to some of the other Dunkin' places on the beach and they are just not the same. I order a pretty simple and common drink and they frequently get it incorrect and when I'm nice about it and ask if they can fix it they always get an attitude. This Dunkin' is obviously under the right management because everyone who works here is always so nice and it's always a good visit. read more

I go to this location for a latte at least 3 times a week. I've always had excellent service. But today I go through and there is a girl working the window I've never seen before. But I notice that the price is wrong on the little display on the window so I explain to the girl that the price is not correct and she says yes it is. So I explain that I'm through the restaurant quite often I know the price. She closed the window then decide to talk really bad about me to another employee. Then the other employee comes to the window and says the prices went up. I come home and look it up on the menu on their website and the price has not changed. And before you try talking s**t about someone make sure they can't read lips. read more
