A few families were agitated and we could tell the atmosphere was moody. We placed an order, waited 40 minutes and discovered (by asking) that our order was never placed with the kitchen. We get the order (total wait time was 1hr/55 minutes or so) and head out. My daughter starts to drink her vegetable spinach banana smoothie. She starts complaining that something is scratching and irritating her throat, we respond by saying oh it's fine probably just the spinach. We get home and she's really coughing and gagging. She runs to the toilet and vomits profusely, everywhere. Within seconds we see what happened. She was drinking shredded f'ing plastic. We pulled away the cup and emptied it into our hands over the sink and there it was. Shredded plastic (two kinds!!!!) in the DOZENS. Small and large partials. I recently saw that they were doing pre-orders for some of their baked goods for the holidays and decided to treat my husband and myself to an order of 6 ready to bake cinnamon bun scones. The price was more than reasonable and pick up was easy as could be. I ordered an iced peppermint mocha while picking up the scones and it was exactly the festive jolt of caffeine I was looking for. The scones came frozen with the glaze on the side and detailed instructions on how to cook them. These scones were INCREDIBLE and very easily the best we've ever had. They had that slight scone-like crisp on the outside but they were softer on the inside, just like a cinnamon roll. They were the perfect holiday treat for us to enjoy in the days leading up to Christmas. Sweet Aroma has fantastic coffee but DO NOT sleep on their baked goods because they are out of the world delicious.

Along with debris all over the floor, furniture, and under items on the countertops Whomever owns, manages, trains these young ladies, needs to retake their food safety classes and brush up on proper food service. Then learn the techniques to prepare a proper espresso beverage. Iced or not, you don't pour a plastic pitcher of espresso, (who knows how long ago those shots were pulled or if it was indeed espresso) into metal, and dump over milk.

Price was 2 bucks a donut, so towards the higher side. Donut was fresh, dense with a heavy sugar shell and a strong artificial strawberry flavor. Not bad, but I prefer the lighter yeasty style donuts than the denser, sugar laden ones. As a local donut shop, it's good. The quality is there, but the donuts are not my style. He decided to branch out and make a tiny donut shop, so we wanted to swing by and give him a try. The shop is small, designed more for your pick up and go crowd. The signage is a little small, so you will need to know where to go to find it. The selection of donuts is akin to specialty cookie shops. They keep a standard selection of doughnuts on demand but also rotate out a few types to keep things fresh. You order your doughnuts with the cashier, and then get to watch your doughnuts get dipped and packed right in front of you. We got a dozen of these little doughnuts. Took our pics then dug in. As a doughnut, they are good. They are a cake doughnut with a little vanilla in the batter to give it a mellow buttery floral flavor note. Not majorly noticeable, but just enough to make it better than just straight up cake. The best bite was the strawberry shortcake. Fresh strawberries with a light whipped cream gives that flavor profile one would expect from a very solid strawberry shortcake. The rest were of varying states of okay for the toppings. The maple bacon was good, the local maple glaze was very maple forward and tasty. The bacon crumbles needed to be cooked more. They were a little too soft and chewy for that style of doughnut. The doughnuts with chocolate syrup needs a better chocolate syrup. Would probably replace with a chocolate drizzle instead. Would hold up better if not eaten immediately. Some of the glazes were not made in house, and were a bit too strong for some of the other toppings on them. They will need to figure out a way to tweak these glazes to not be overpowering. As a destination spot I would expect an elevated product, and this shop is not set up to be elevated just yet. It's set up to be a local morning doughnut place, which is valid but will need to fight to get people to see them. There's some promise to this business idea. They will need to commit to either a boutique tiny doughnut shop or a local pick up and on demand delivery spot. Either one could work, but they need to find their footing first.
