I enjoyed revisiting this restaurant since it has reopened. We sat outside and had a nice view of the lake, which made for a pleasant experience. However, I was disappointed by the lack of vegetarian options on the menu. I ended up going with the Lakeside Pizza. It was good fresh, but unfortunately, it didn't reheat very well. That said, I'd still go back on a nice day just to enjoy the outdoor patio--it's a great spot for the view and atmosphere. read more

As its name indicated this place has a gorgeous view lakeside and the music selection played at the patio was delightful. So the Ambience is top notch. As per the items ordered, I need to be sincere as an Elite Yelper. Disappointing. Fried calamari appetizer was fresh and crispy, with surprisingly delightful crispy jalapeños in the mix, but they served it with the marinara italian sauce that is proper for mozzarella sticks but not for calamari in New England. For the burrata salad with peaches you need a magnifying glass to find the peaches and the dressing was also missing in action, together with the orange peel of our Negronis. Espressos were brought to the table without teaspoons or sweetener options. So, a disappointing restaurant at a beautiful location. A tourist trap in my opinion. read more

Enjoyed the outdoor patio across from the lake although it was super hot and the umbrella didn't provide much shade. Maybe have some larger fans out there in the summer for guest's comfort. Went to this restaurant in East Hampton to give it a try after my wife ate there a few weeks ago. Great setting with a view of the lake which is the main reason the prices are so high. Service was good. Food was good but smaller sized portions for the price you pay, I know me is expensive, but at least load me up on the sides so I can get full. The stuff sole came out with the center almost frozen still so we had to send it back and have them cook it more. But once it was cooked all the way it was good. Overall, it's a nice overpriced restaurant because of it's setting and the ambience. read more

Parking: huge lot Decor: rustic modern on the inside but very clean. Nice exposed beams, fireplace, igloos option for outdoor seating in offseason Food: tasting with good size portions. The presentation almost cost them a star. Dried parsley dashed around the plate from back in the 80-90's. It had the mashed potatoes scooped with an ice cream scooper which just says it was boxed mash. The soft pretzels were good, again presentation was lacking. Staff: very friendly and attentive to your needs even on a full Saturday night crowd. Extras: they had a one man band there, he was good but a little loud for my taste for music at 7-9 for dinner, felt more like a happy hour would have been more appropriate. We went once ate outside off of the menu and it was very good, although a little pricey, but for good food, I don't mind. Therefore, I chose them for their Easter buffet this past weekend. The price was affordable and the menu looked pretty good. I was assured with the gentleman who took my reservation that things were fresh and replenished all day, even at the last seating for 3:30 PM, which was our reservation. I would not say things were fresh or replenished at that point at all. Nothing was labeled. I had to ask them to replenish some stale things, like the fish and the French toast. it was very chewy and stale and even replenished it was the same. It was supposed to be brioche, I did not detect any brioche bread. The mini croissants were cut in half, and were smaller than small as it was, and very very hard on the inside and hard on the outside, very unpleasant. The shrimp cocktail was not high quality but we dealt with it. The roast beef was so tough and chewy and to be honest, tasteless. The summer vegetables and the pesto pasta were excellent though. The "desserts" were a joke. There were mini muffins and little triangular entenmann pastries. The apple crisp thing was pretty good. We were surprised that a cup of tea or a similar beverage was not included, and we were also surprised that a 20% gratuity was added to our bill for a party of two. Not once was my plate cleared when going back up to the buffet. I had to put my dirty plates on an empty table. I don't think we'd go back for a buffet but probably would go back for outdoor dining off the menu. read more

Went for the Mother's Day brunch. I understand that buffets are hard to do right, but the food was pretty disgusting if not inedible. They had a tortellini in cream sauce dish and the tortellini was way overcooked. Sliced pork and sliced roast beef sitting in chafing dishes. The meat was completely dried out and my and could barely be cut with the butter knives they provided us. No sauces to add to it so it wouldn't be so dry. The stuffed filet of sole was also super mushy and more fishy than fish should be. The shrimp for the shrimp cocktail was mushy/pasty and seemed as though it was previously frozen and frost bitten. Utterly disappointing considering it was $60 for each adult. The majority of the food was god awful. My wife did have some salad and said the salad dressing was quite good. Others at our table half jokingly said that the salad dressing was the best item they put out. The desserts were not very good either. This was my second time going there. I did a lunch there with my wife a few months after they opened. IMO the food is mediocre at best and very expensive I've for the poor quality you get. I won't be returning. read more

First time here and we all had such a good time. Our waitress was so sweet and friendly. The outdoor seating was wonderful- so nice to be near the lake and have such a pleasant view! It's on a road so we didn't know if it would be loud from traffic but we forgot the road was even there so clearly we weren't bothered by any car noise. The outdoor seating was super comfortable, and it was just so lovely outside. However the inside looked great too with a big fireplace so would be great for cooler weather! (My only peeve- The bathrooms looked like they didn't belong- so old and outdated, please renovate! The mirror was comically high up the wall too lol) Anyways, the food was so tasty! We were constantly looking at other people's food choices too and already planning our next visit. So simple but the Caesar salad and fries were SO good! I got the halibut over pesto risotto which was good but could have used a touch of salt? But honestly I ate most of it so clearly it wasn't a dealbreaker. Wow. Dinner here was better than expected. The reviews do not do it justice. It's a bit off the beaten path, but worth the drive. This cute little place is situated right along the lake. The view and weather was amazing. Lots of Cranes (maybe?) flying overhead. The traffic took a bit of the ambience away but still- it was lovely. Service wise- our waitress was kind, attentive and patient. I take a while to decide sometimes but she wasn't pushing or frustrated. She actively checked in to see how the food was and noticed I was missing the salad from my entree and practically ran to get it. Now on to the food. Again, wow. We started with the lobster bisque tater tots. Crispy hot tater tots in a creamy bisque soup covered in large chunks of perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked lobster. Amazing. For dinner I ordered the Parmesan cod with a side salad and Mac & cheese. ( gotta have balance) . The cod was buttery, savory, flaky and just delicious. The Parmesan was the perfect amount and added a nice texture. This mac & cheese though. I'll go back just for that. It was cheesy, creamy, crispy topping and honestly the best I've had from a restaurant. My husband ordered the fish and chips and the fries were crispy, fresh and perfectly seasoned. The rest of the plate was fine. My clams were fresh but not well shucked. The adductors were not cut so eating them was compromised. So, close for both but not up to scratch. Fun destination and good places to go with friends. The atmosphere brings good vibes. Service was great, young woman seemed to go above and beyond to accommodate. One comment is the neighbors...oh my, something is amiss where local loud trucks pass by purposely gunning their mufflers, like they're upset with the place. Aside from that, the restaurant is nice. Too bad when people have ulterior motives. Hopefully, its a passing phase, and didnt want to dock stars, the outside seating is idea and previously went during holidays and beautifully decorated. Okay I'm going to be fair and review this from a couple of different perspectives. First service and ambience: On our most recent visit the service was not good we sat on the upstairs patio and our host tried to put us in the sun when there were clearly seven shaded tables we asked to sit in the shade. Next our waitress who was very polite took her drink order and appetizers, someone else brought water as it was warm out I asked for a picture of water after they had filled our glasses , because I could see we might be forgotten upstairs. No problem they brought the picture which was good because that was the last time anyone checked on drinks and refills. Our waitress next came up and took our dinner order there were five of us One asked for a slight substitution on the menu and the waitress said that would be no problem. After a reasonably longer wait than you would expect two of the five orders came out. Then a few minutes later two more. Then as we're all waiting for the final order to come out, and waiting and waiting and waiting some more no kidding close to 10 minutes goes by with no final order. I walk downstairs and asked the waitress that was helping us if she could check on the 5th order and reminded her what it was. She said yes I'll check on it right now. 5 minutes later she comes upstairs and says the order never got placed they're making it now it'll be up shortly. The rest of us started to eat and shared our meals with the fifth person. After another 5 minutes the meal came out it was slightly undercooked no apology was given by the waitress. We had all completed our meals before anyone came and asked are the meals good is there anything anyone needs. When the bill came they didn't take the 5th meal off after making the person wait over 25 minutes. They also didn't think they should have to as it Just wasn't place initially. So I would say service not so great, additionally while we were enjoying sitting on the upper deck looking at the lake which was nice for those of us that had to look at the building it was not so pleasant to look at thousands of insects plastered on the side of the building all types of spider webs and other disgusting things on the railings as well as the building itself. The place desperately needs a cleaning and power washing. Now for the food, two of us got the house chicken which was phenomenal. One got the chicken fettuccine which was also excellent. The fourth guy the ribs which were A little less than average. And the fifth who had ordered a penne a la vodka twist on the chicken fettuccine got undercooked hard pasta with their a la vodka sauce and the 25-minute wait for the food. The appetizers which were chicken spring rolls and calamari were what you'd expect coming out of a freezer and thrown into a deep fryer nothing special. Overall review I've been to this restaurant six or seven times generally during cooler weather and eating indoors without any incident very good quality food and service. As an outdoor restaurant I would pass I know the view is really remarkable but the service is horrible down below on the outside patio people go out and smoke right outside the patio and all that smoke woffs through the rest of the lower and upper outside seating areas not very accommodating for those of us that don't enjoy that. So being fair I don't think this is a great review for this restaurant however if you ate indoors I think you would do better. Appetizers were brought out read more

The Lakeside is hit or miss, mostly at the bar. Two years ago my husband and I sat at the outdoor bar, after 15 min, no service, we walked out. The thing that really irritated me was that the bar maid looked right at us, ignored us and walked away. We decided to give them another chance about a year later. Molly and Stephanie were there, they are right on top of things. No issues. The other day? Sunday afternoon we stopped for a drink and possibly something to eat, once again totally ignored, two other couples were waited on, and we still were not. I then said " excuse me" could we be helped, with attitude menus were tossed in our direction! My husband and I decided to leave. Not sure when or if I we will ever return! What a shame! Glad to see this restaurant space reopened! Sitting lake side is the perfect atmosphere. Food was delicious. Best shrimp po boy I ever had. Mac and cheese was filled with ooey, gooey goodness. Shrimp BLT was good but needed a bit more lemon aioli. Customer service lacked a bit and probably was because they were getting ready for the dinner rush. We were the only customers in the restaurant and it took 15 minutes to get drinks. The manager did comp them since it took so long. The "Dark and Stormy" salmon my wife had was equally boring. The "Ancient grain" risotto (quinoa) was bland, wet and not at all like risotto should be. The waiter was polite but our drinks took 40 minutes to arrive. Crab cakes were decent. Overall edible but completely unremarkable. These folks need some spices. Stopped in for a quick drink since we were early to town for a Friendsgiving celebration. Greeted quickly and promptly shown to the bar. The bartender was at the other end of the (small) bar talking with customers she clearly knew when we sat down. Instead of looking up and acknowledging us - she continued to engage in conversation for about 10 more minutes. We finally grabbed another waiter who happened to walk behind the bar and asked for a cocktail menu. At one point - while casually looking around a little flabbergasted that we were still sitting there and hadn't even been acknowledged by the bartender - there were 6 waitstaff standing around right next to the bar. Annoying. We finally got our drinks - the bartender basically continued on with her conversation across the bar while making our drinks and barely engaged at all. It was the oddest experience. My husband got the chocolate martini which he thought was good. I had the pumpkin martini which wasn't great. We didn't eat but did take a look at the menu which actually looked good.
