It looked delicious and i was hopeful but it was hard and not pleasant to eat. Maybe it just had been in the cookie jar too long. I mean it is a bakery and cafe and should be fresh. Their easter cookies and pies in the display case looked AMAZING. I wish i had chosen one of tbose. A favorite dish seems to be the Alaskan waffle which is topped with ice cream, chocolate syrup and whipped cream. We ate breakfast here and have stopped in a few times just to pick up some bakery items. We love the banana cream pie cup, lemon curd bread, turtle lava cake and chocolate covered Twinkie's. Service can be slow (by Milwaukee/city standards) but everything is served hot and to order. There is typically one waitress working too so keep that in mind. Cash payment is preferred and there is a small surcharge for credit card purchases. They have weekly bingo games and you seat yourself if you want to dine in. This is a breakfast / lunch spot as they are not open during dinner hours. Definitely worth a stop if you are in Adams County or camping at Roche-a-Cri state park nearby.

You pay right at the hostess stand before being seated which was kind of cool, so you don't have to worry about it later. You also have the option to tip before or after. Once you sit you are brought any included drinks (white milk, apple juice, orange juice, coffee), purchased drinks (chocolate milk, lattes, etc), and donuts. The donuts were fantastic. I asked for a decaf latte but they didn't have decaf. The latte was still good. They then bring out small plates of ham, sausage, eggs, biscuits with gravy, and pancakes. All of it was delicious. She flat-out refused to give her name (so I'll call her "Karen"), accused my daughter of breaking them by "squeezing too roughly," and claimed they've sold thousands with zero returns. I pointed out that most tourists buy items and immediately drive home, which explains why people don't return. ​She remained firm, rude, and refused the $8.99 refund. My daughter owns plenty of squishies that last for months--a good manager would recognize a defective batch instead of blaming a child. Unless $9 is coming directly out of her paycheck, there's no excuse for that attitude. ​RESTAURANT REVIEW As for the food: expect a fairly long line depending on the season and time of day, but once seated, the service is good and the all-you-can-eat food is solid.
