I must admit that I don't frequent Dunkin often. Last time was probably 10+ years ago in Chicago. Stopped by on the way up to San Francisco. Ordered via the Dunkin app which was easy. Prices seek to be so much higher than I remembered or expected. The prices are similar to Starbucks or Peet's. I got a medium iced shaken expresso and it was over $7. It was pretty good but I guess I expected it to be a bit less expensive. Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy off street parking lot. read more

I've been to multiple Dunkin' locations across the country, and while I expect the donuts to be on the denser, drier side, the drinks are usually a hit. First time trying Dunkin'! I heard that it is an east coast thing and never realized there were stores close to me so I never tried it. I was pleasantly surprised by the very clean exterior and interior of the store. I ordered online and my drinks/food were ready within 3-5 minutes of waiting. The staff were polite and very helpful. I got a classic iced coffee, bacon wake up wrap, and a sausage wake up wrap. The iced coffee was a lot better than I expected and the wake up wraps were tasty! My wife got a white chocolate mocha and an everything bagel with cream cheese. She felt the white chocolate mocha was underwhelming but the bagel was very good. Alright, enough is enough. I have been holding back writing this review, but this Dunkin has failed me so many times. So many messed up orders, crazy long wait times, and many occasions where I've ordered ahead and had the person behind the counter look at me blankly and not know how to view app orders. I've waited 20 minutes for an egg wrap and a latte many times. I'd feel different if this place was always swamped or they were very busy, but what blows my mind is that it's always empty. There's never a line, or lots of orders ahead of me. It seems like the management and staff are completely checked out and also have no interest in getting things done in a reasonable amount of time. I've worked as a barista, and typically when someone orders coffee and a sandwich, the person puts the sandwich in the oven, and then works on the coffee. Here, they put the sandwich in the microwave, stare at it, wait for it to be done, then take the sandwich out/let it go cold, walk away for a few minutes, and then work on the coffee afterward. It just doesn't make any sense. I've even had DoorDashers complain to me jokingly via text when I've done delivery. I've been to lots of Dunkin's in my day, but I've never encountered one like this, or any fast food restaurant like this to be honest. Hope y'all can improve, because you're only 5 minutes away from my apartment, and I don't want to continue to have to do the 20 minute drive just to go the other location. read more

I am a huge cup collector and was trying all over to get the Megan the Stallion collab, and when I told her I was coming to San Carlos from Daly City she held the cup for me and wrote down my name. She was so friendly and kind!! I've been having the worst week of my life and there is no way she would have possibly known that, but having an interaction with this girl who made sure I got my collectors cup and a delicious drink, made me feel human again. I am usually a big fan of Dunkin' and realized I had not stopped by in a while. I decided to get some coffee and donuts before visiting some friends in the area. I ended up getting some donut holes, a mixed variety of 6 donuts, and also a lightly sweetened iced vanilla latte with oat milk (about $25 total). The donuts were ok, much sweeter than I remembered. The latte was wayyy too sweet to the point where I could not drink more than 1/3 of it. I enjoyed the creaminess of the latte as it was how I remembered tasting before, but the extra syrup made it undrinkable. Service was good and they were pretty friendly. I was on the hunt for the Ghost Pepper donut and was in the area so decided to stop by. I had seen this location when it was first opened but never had a chance to stop by. The store is clean and there is one narrow line to wait at. The cashier looked up to see the line and continued helping the customer in front of me. I didn't see the donut in the clear glass case, so I waited to ask if they had any left. There were two individuals behind the register and when the other individual finished with his customer, he went to do another task instead of helping move the line along. As the customer in front of me finished the first cashier completely overlooked me and was about to help someone that had arrived after me and was out of line and right in front of the cashier. I let the cashier know I had arrived first and was in line as he had seen me standing there. He proceeded to help me and told me they no longer had the Ghost Pepper donut. All they had was what was in the glass case. I did not see anything I liked so I walked out. I was disappointed with the service I received. The customer service lacked efficiency. The wait was too long and the employees worked at an excruciatingly slow pace. It took both staff a long time to help the next customer and when it was time to help completely overlooked the line. I thought this location had a drive thru, but it doesn't. With more locations opening in the area with the convenience of a drive thru I will have no need to stop by here. read more

I dont understand why the workers are SO RUDE HERE! Ive been to this location 4 times now and every single time theyre either making the drink wrong or something is missing. Today I ordered a medium iced cappuccino with oatmilk and added an espresso shot. What I received was a blended drink that was just straight up milk. The latina lady argued with me saying this is how iced cappuccinos are made and that theyre a blended drink. I asked if they can re-make it for me because I ordered through the app and this is not how an iced cappuccino is described and its under the iced drinks not the frozen drinks. She refused to remake my drink and gave it back to me. I decided to just throw it away and never come back to this place ever again. You can order online or you can take away.....given this was a surprise visit for me, I went inside. Sanitizer all over the place, everyone in masks (including me and all other customers) the donut selection was more than decent, they had munchkins & a huge selection of cold coffees from Nitro to Cold Brew to Original Blend I chose my go-to chocolate glazed & an iced coffee.....milk & sugar mixed in for me. However being that today was the last day for me to use my $2 T-Mobile offer, I made a quick trip over after finding this spot on Google. With the exception of 1 person picking up a mobile order, the store itself was completely empty when I arrived. I placed an order for 4 donuts, and a Peach Passionfruit Refresher. I've always enjoyed Dunkin's donuts, and I though the refresher was quite refreshing as well. Customer service was friendly and efficient, and the store itself was clean and well maintained. And despite it being later in the day, their donut selection was still quite abundant and well-stocked. As a side note, I learned that apparently, despite the fine print stating otherwise, the T-mobile offers for Dunkin' can be stacked and all rung up in 1 transaction as they are tendered as gift cards. read more

Came here for the "Sugarplum Macchiato" and didn't leave disappointed. I wanted a purple drink, and I got a purple drink! We ordered a sugarplum macchiato, snowflake donut, and a munchkin box (5 donut holes). The macchiato was alright - looked as advertised, and I could even taste some fruity notes (blueberry?). The coffee flavor was weak, but what do you expect for mass-produced coffee chains? The donuts themselves were alright - the snowflake donut is just for show (no special flavoring) and the munchkins were standard. They must've made a mistake because we got an extra chocolate sprinkle donut, which I appreciated. The store was clean and had plenty of space for patrons to wait for their orders. We didn't have to wait at all (ordered via app). The only problem I had was the Dunkin app did not display prices correctly - they had "10 donut holes for $2" listed, but when you added them to the chart it was $3.49, and it didn't notify us when our order was ready. I'd definitely recommend Dunkin just to try the sugarplum macchiato. I don't think I'd return unless they had another odd promotional thing (the only other time I've eaten at a Dunkin was in Singapore, which was also for the novelty), but I admire the head of marketing who rolled out this promotion. They got me to write this review, AND share it on my IG - if anything, I admire the marketing strategy more than the food. I want to love this Dunkin' so bad because it's so close to my house but honestly it truly is a hit or miss location.To be honest, more on the miss side. I really love Dunkin locations generally. Honestly, it has been three times when I have ordered a hot drink in the app and it was made iced. Not sure why that keeps happening. One time I could understand but three times! Also I have ordered donuts and if you don't get there EARLY in the morning more often than not they are selling through the donuts. So you could pay for it on the app and get there and they don't have it. This is a process for the corporation to improve. They seem to always be slammed at this location the times I come and the staff a lot of times is not that interactive or friendly. Avoid this place at all costs. I came in today (stopped coming here because it sucks) since I got a gift card. When I walked in, both members of staff walked in the back (no greeting or anything) and stayed there for a minute or 2. Anyways, the real reason I was annoyed is because I ordered a large version of a drink and received a medium. Again, no problem, people make mistakes; however, when addressing this, one of the workers (big guy with beard) poured my medium cup into a larger cup (filled with ice), leaving some of the drink left in the medium cup. So, I actually received less drink than I did with the medium cup. I didn't end up saying anything because I didn't really care at that point and needed to leave. Point is that customer service is always terrible here and they always make the drinks wrong. Every time I've been here I've had issues, so just save yourself and go to Starbucks or something. read more

Disappointed with the lack of customer engagement this morning. No customer service at all. No greeting when you enter the store. I guess I just like to feel welcomed when walking into a business. One girl was making food & the other girl was on the register AND making the drinks. Therefore, there was a long line. I finally made to San Carlos to check out what's the rage about this East Coast based donut shop. When I was in NYC & Boston, my friends told me I MUST have a DD. I tried the DD and I was not impressed. Now that they have made their debut someplace more convenient without having to drive to HMB or SSF, I decided to give it another chance. I ordered 1/2 dozen plus the Oreo special and it was better than expected, but I'm still trying to figure out why people go crazy over these donuts. Overall, it was an average tasting donut and comparable to a Krispy Kreme but much, much better than a donut from Safeway. People will still swear their allegiance to DD, and after my experience, I still prefer the donuts from Pilgrim Kitchen in Belmont. read more

If you are looking to get great service with a smile, this is not the place for you. But if you're looking to see incompetence and negative attitudes in action, then this is your spot! I've seen higher intelligence in navel lint than in this crew. And for the record, I'm not giving a bad review because I had one little bad experience. This location has been atrocious since it opened years ago. That original crew was so bad, they got rid of all of them and hired a new crew. And this new crew just as bad! That means its a management issue. Dirty and gross. Boy, this staff is a grim bunch. Every time I come here I swear I'm walking into the waiting room from Beetlejuice. It looks like the entire crew is homeless and hungover. I mean, can you at least run a comb thru that rats-nest before your shift? And I pray that blizzard on your-shoulders is powdered sugar and not dandruff, yikes. And correct me if I'm wrong here, but I think you're supposed to change those gloves every once in awhile. Its usually a good indicator when all the fingers are gone on the glove. Some of these winners are walking around looking like they are in a gym from the 80's. Thankfully I typically only get iced coffee when I come here, and they somehow muster up enough brain activity to not mess that up (although they have on several occasions). But if I do get other items for the kids, you can bet your sweet tushy this group of rocket scientists will mess up the order AND give you an attitude while doing it! And forget about fast service. This group of pathetic pastry pushers has the same sense of urgency as a group of mannequins. Even when there is a long line of angry customers, they could care less and move just as slow as if there was no one there. Rude beyond belief. I can't tell you how many times I've been to this location and left thinking "I can't believe that just happened." I don't remember the girls name, but I think she is a manager by the lack of stains on her uniform, and she got upset with me for THEM giving me the wrong order! I told her my order was missing two chocolate donuts and she just looked at me for about 5 seconds and said "oh, we are out." I said to back her, "No you aren't, I'm looking at about a dozen of them right here." she looked down and saw them, put a few in a bag, tossed them on the counter and said, "here."
