I stopped by for a quick breakfast sandwich and donut holes before work, and they were really fast with service! The ambiance is very cute, i was greeted upon entrance and my food was ready in 5 minutes! Perfect for a quick bite. The sandwich itself was good, i added ketchup and tapatío from the packets they gave me to go, def good. It came with hash browns, they could have been saltier and more seasoned but they are okay. My favorite is ordering a burrito from El Grullense next door and, while I wait, popping over to Happy Donuts for an unfilled maple bar. It's honestly amazing. This place doesn't have phenomenal donuts, but they're open late, on El Camino, always have friendly staff, and something about their interior just makes me feel cozy and good. They're always stocked to the brim with raised donuts (particularly glazed and chocolate) and also carry an assortment of cake donuts, though not many old fashioneds. Mom & pop donut shop located near downtown RWC. I came here to pick up a box of donuts for an event and it seems like this place is actually quite popular! There were more than a few patrons coming in and out on a Friday morning. I got a box of 1 dozen assorted donuts which cost about $24. The donuts looked fresh and fluffy. What this doughnut shop doesn't have as far as parking, due to having to share spaces with their neighbors; it makes up with nice flavor filled doughnuts. Me and some of my coworkers have been going by this shop on the way to the work site, we have always been greeted nicely and given outstanding service by the workers. I'm not from the Bay area, but I was lucky to find this donut shop during my vacation. My favorite desserts is donuts and I love to venture and try different donut shops in other states. I remember searching for the nearest donut shop where I was staying at and found this one in the area. The bonus is that they are open 24 hours. It was around 9 pm. I pulled up and walked in. It feels like a mom and pop kind of donut shop. They had a nice selection of donuts available. I ordered a cake and twist donuts and a cup of coffee. I was disappointed that they serve coffee that looked like it was sitting on the burner for hours so I wasn't too happy. I usually don't eat twist donuts either, but the first bite I took, it was amazing! Cake donuts were awesome! And their coffee was surprisingly great tasting! And being from Seattle, I never tasted coffee this delicious before. It seemed to be freshly brewed and didn't have that slate taste either. I made several attempts to come back during my vacation and also getting that cup of coffee too. Till this day, I still think about the coffee. :D Can't wait to visit the Bay area again. We bought a dozen for 4 of us and cut them so we could all try each one - we were just beaming at each other - so happy to find a great quality donut again! I am a regular customer. I visited this place on Friday (during this pandemic situation) to support this business. What I found inside the box was horrifying (see photo). A huge mosquito fly and a small cockroach, both alive, playing around. I got upset, called the lady working there and informed to look at it. What a horrible place ?!. Seems like you do get happier after having their donuts! It's on El Comino Real and a very continent grab and go place. I ordered a glazed donut since the cashier guy said "it's always the classic and basic stuff to be the most popular," which I can't agree more. "We don't do none of that vegan stuff" said the staff. When I heard that, my heart melted instantly. The selections are similar to the typical doughnut places and made with 100% animal fat. The place may not be fancy or hipster-like, but it does have old school charm to it. The glaze on the glazed doughnut was not only thin but textured at the same time.
