The interior was bright, modern and a recent build. The sidewalk up to the store was well salted, and the dining area empty and clean. The cashier had no idea how to unlock the register. The ordering process for a specialty drink on the menu behind the cashier was excessive and I am not entirely sure what beverage I received. It was a delicious mix of chocolate cold foam and raspberry flavored iced coffee. The restroom was out of order. The process to find that out is to go to the bathroom door and have the manager yell from the back of the store at you that it is out of order in a tone that implies you should know this and are a waste of her time. I feel this location will eventually be wonderful and functional but I had a better interaction with a rest area vending machine (at a test stop with clean and open bathrooms) than this store which is really quite a strong negative for me. read more

Surprisingly I hadn't been here in over a year. I thought I was going to get lucky today as there was a line all the way out to the road wrapped around the back of the building when I pulled in; I almost didn't get into the parking lot! I sat in the line for nearly 10 minutes prior to ordering my food. I only wanted 2 marble donuts. White breaded donut, with a hole in it and with chocolate icing around the top with white vanilla stripes across the top of it. I had heard that this Dunkin used to carry this donut. However NO they do NOT carry this donut anymore. I do want to make a request to please start making these. They will sell out and people absolutely love them!! I was saddened to find out they did not have #Marble donuts today yet they had chocolate and or strawberry frosted white breaded w/holes w/sprinkles on it! No MARBLE donuts. Trash. 0 stars if I could. Only taking cash at the time. They don't know how to make an iced matcha latte, even after asking them to remake it, my drink still came out super white instead of green. DD clearly advertises the drink as green. Employees tried to argue with me on the color of my drink. I order it the same exact way to each DD I go to. (I didn't ask for 3 matcha powder - not sure why they put that like it was something special.) I ordered a medium iced matcha latte with almond milk and less ice. That's it. Nice, clean, convenient spot (S. Limestone apparently now "Donut Alley" with DD landing right next to Springfield's own Schuler's Donuts...!!) but still needs to get some of their opening "kinks" out before I'll give them my "seal of approval..." I walked in late afternoon about a week ago and there was NO ONE available to take my order. Lucky for me (unlucky, perhaps for the cashier/s) the owner/manager (?) walked in at the same time I did, called for someone/anyone to come to the counter, no one responded, and he took my order himself... Things happen, no harm/no foul, but it's not the "best" area, so they should be a bit more careful... Homer Simpson and/or some donut-loving "Springfield's Finest" could have made off with their weight in donuts!! Today I walk in for a cup of regular coffee.... First of all, I went inside and waited at the counter for five minutes before someone took my order. I love Dunkin' Donuts but the one in Springfield stinks. The people hardly talk to you. I had to wait forever for thrm to make my wraps and hashbrouns and they wouldn't explain what was taking so long. They just give you your order, and don't say anything. Manager is so unprofessional. Got our order wrong- gave us 2 donuts when we ordered 2 sandwiches and when we told him he acted like it was the most stress he'd ever been in. Then we pulled up to wait and he came out saying " bitches they're all bitches, I'm never hiring a woman again" . I gave this place months to get their act together, understanding that the first chain coffee place in town would take a bit of time to get things together and running smoothly. That said, the location has been open for this level of service and lack of quality to be excusable. Having been through the drive in around a dozen times, I've been served cold "hot" sandwiches 4 times, had my coffee order incorrect the majority of the time, & been told outright that they don't serve an item that's advertised on their window. Too much syrup in the drinks, lukewarm food, partial cups of coffee, all unreasonable behavior. Add this up with an unreasonable wait time, even at off-peak hours, and I can't recommend you visit this location at all. They need to clear out the staff & start over. It's sad when you're better off going to the McDonalds down the road for a better coffee experience. The staff can't even seem to make a decaf drink when it's ordered, having gotten even that part wrong over half a dozen times now. read more

So I've never had to made a corporate complaint until today. Long story short, today was my first day at Dunkin' Donuts. My husband told me they now carry almond milk and sugar free flavors, so I was pretty excited. We went in the store and I have a couple of questions that I always ask at any coffee shop I go to. 1) is your almond milk unsweetened? 2) are your sugar free flavors syrups or sauces? I prefer to stay away from sugars and I am allergic to sugar alcohols, so I can't do any sugar free sauces - can only do syrups. With each question I asked, the guy laughed at me in a snarky manner and didn't once have a knowledgeable answer. He, for one, said that he thinks their almond milk is unsweetened (you could tell he was unsure), but then said "well, all almond milks are sweet." This is not true, but okay. He also didn't know the difference between sauce and syrup, so I had to explain that to him and went ahead and explained why I asked since he was acting like it was a problem. He ended up saying "jeez, you're picky." I said "never mind" and left feelings very uncomfortable. The two working along side him were staring at me while all this was going down. I've been working in the restaurant business for many years and I've never once laughed at anyone asking questions. I've also never even thought about calling someone picky! Also, I tried calling multiple times to get the guys name and they wouldn't pick up. If they did pick up, they hung up. If you can't be knowledgeable about your own product (you should be since you're running a business), the least you could do is be nice and respectful. read more

This is the worst Dunkin Donuts I have ever been to. I have grown up on their coffee all of my life and no matter what I order at this location it tastes horrible...bitter and not smooth. I have to repeat my order 5 times to 5 different people in the drive thru; I don't know why they can't look at their register to see what I ordered. Maybe if they had 1 person filling all of the drive thru orders there wouldn't be so much confusion. They still never get my order right. I go there just for my favorite donut and lately, they NEVER have it. I even ask if they have more. And answer is always the same, NO. Today, the French curler was old & dried out. Generally, I would rate them higher. However, this rating is to bring attention to the fact that the manager, John, is not very good at his job. In fact, he seems to bring more chaos into things when there is a line at the drive-thru. The crew was doing just fine until he stepped in and decided to tell everyone that he was leaving soon and that he couldn't guarantee things would go well when he left. It didn't appear that they were going well while he was there. And since I've been there many times before when he wasn't there and things were absolutely fine, I would say that the reason why things were not going well was because John was there. Instead of throwing his crew members under the bus, he might want to keep his comments to himself and just do the work of a manager. I'm sure they would appreciate it. I live close to the one on south limestone st in Springfield Ohio, anyway I ordered online I got an iced coffee and I decided I wanted to try there donuts, so I ordered some donut holes. Well I get there to get my order and my coffee was wrong and the girl at the window didn't even know my order and I tell her and she goes to get the holes and comes back to say all we have is glazed, I stated to her I don't want them and she just kept saying this us all we have, and way I was upset because she didn't even offer anything else. And I had to go in to get my coffee replaced. But when I went in I stood there for about 5 minutes with knowone ever saying a word to me to help me and I listened to them cursing and talking about money coming up short from the drawer and then talking about I am guessing a manger who does there scheduling. Real professional there. Anyway I emailed the company to complain there response is we will give you a $5 gift card to replace your order. Stopped in on 2/22/20 am for a bagel and coffee to go. Ordered an Everything bagel, toasted, with cream cheese on the side, and a large coffee with cream and sugar. Went down and waited at the pickup counter and got my bagel quick enough, then I waited for my coffee. And waited....and waited. Finally the young lady who took my order came over from the register to the Pick-up area, saw me standing there with my bagel and asked if I had received my coffee. When I replied, "No," she asked another person to get it for me and then they quickly got it for me and I left. I normally wouldn't write this up, just some staff forgetfulness or miscommunication and a long wait for my coffee, but when I got home and took my bagel out, the first thing I noticed was it was plain, not Everything, and it was a barely warm and not toasted at all. Then I realized it was only about 4" across, like the cheap bagels you get in plastic bags of 6 at the grocery store. Tasted like a grocery-store bagel also. Last time I had a Dunkin Donuts bagel it was huge, 6" across and very yummy. I don't know if this is the new normal or just an aberration. Tomorrow morning I'll go to a different Dunkin and place the same order and see what the bagel is like. Coffee was excellent as always, except the long wait to get it. read more

Since the location in Springfield has been open, I've been through their drive-thru twice and both times I was not impressed. The people who work there act like they hate their job and there's really no sense of professionalism among any of them, including the manager. The first time they forgot the cheese on my sausage, egg and cheese sandwich, which made the sandwich incredibly dry. The second time (today), the order was correct but after they handed us our food there was no "Have a good day" or "Thank you", and they really just make you feel like a burden for being a customer. I had high hopes for this DD because I've had good experiences in the past at other DD. But this location has just been a huge disappointment for me. I expect more from such a huge franchise. read more
