This place is pretty dang big and seems to have a few locations in eastern Connecticut. The staff was nice, the donut selection was even nicer, and for a donut shop, it was a great looking shop too. I settled on an Oreo cookie donut as well as a chocolate sprinkle donut with some milk to wash it down. Both donuts get a big thumbs up from me and I made sure no crumbs were left behind. They tasted fresh and I can't help but think people should absolutely be choosing this over another lackluster Dunkin' location. Overall, I really enjoyed Baker's Dozen and I would absolutely indulge in some donuts on my next trip.

We had passed Two Dogs on the street before our turn and came back to it. Everything was amazing. The two women behind the counter were so pleasant. The blueberry lemon loaf cake was melt-in-your-mouth fruity goodness. The cold brew was the best I've had. So flavorful but not too sweet. Smooth. I was already impressed, and then we had a jalapeño cheddar bagel with cream cheese. Perfectly flavored and chewy. Glad for this accidental find, because it started off my day in an unexpectedly perfect way.

My Xpost, as it should be seen imo…read more I was excited to try chubby dog coffee but unfortunately, I was shown some messages between the owner, Adam Rondeau, and a family member of mine that have deterred me from going, so much so that I have decided to actively refer others elsewhere. There are requests for feedback available on most platforms where people can leave comment on their experience and let others know of any issues encountered. For minor issues, businesses typically opt to rectify them so that customers that maybe didn't have a 5/5 experience might try again. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. The owner, Adam Rondeau, decided to personally text my family member about her review where she mentioned being incorrectly charged for an item and call her "insane" for saying so on a review instead of reaching out to him as the owner first. In my experience, I have never heard that personally reaching out to the business's owner for an issue when there are feedback options available, especially as a first step, is the "correct" way to handle an issue. You let the customers know it happened to you in a review, and you move on. Clearly, if you have a negative experience at chubby dog, your best bet is to keep your mouth shut about it or the owner might personally text you and make you the bad guy for their mistake. If you were concerned on how a review of a mistake that was made at your cafe would have impacted your business, you absolutely made a bad moral decision by trying to bully the complainant after the fact. Who does that? The market is over saturated in coffee here, go anywhere else. Even if you might have a less than stellar experience elsewhere at least you probably won't be contacted by an owner saying that you were wrong for complaining.

The staff were all very friendly if a bit surprised to see folks from California in their off the beaten path location. I prefer it to be made from Single Origin beans, from places like Africa that have bright flavor profiles. And I prefer a medium light roast that highlights the quality of the bean. Most places make their iced coffee from blends and medium dark or dark roast levels. Grounded Coffee Co is the rare CT coffee shop that made my iced coffee with an Ethiopian Single Origin roasted by Ilse. Ilse, a North Canaan, CT, was not on my radar. They are now. This was one of the best iced coffees I've had from a shop all year. And it matched my preferences. Grounded is small, but the shop was cute, had some inside seating, and seemed to have an outside seating area, although I did not go out back to see it. Service was friendly and helpful. Very impressed with this visit experience. Five Stars.

Some old staff and some new staff, sometimes the espresso is better than other times but you gotta learn somewhere so- I get it. Place is small and usually quiet and even with the ac blowing it gets a bit warm in here in the summer. Place is always cozy come winter.
