The Dunkin' where they were pretty mean.
    Anna P.

They are always out of whatever I want that day. They aren't sorry they are out. I didn't get any receipts. I felt like they hated me as a customer. My chai latte was nasty like sweet milk and I had to go in and ask them to fix it after they had already been rude. They weren't sorry my drink wrong. They were annoyed they had to do something else. Even going so far to say " i already put 5 in there - and you want more; how many more do you want" I don't even know what she is talking about. 5 what? I mean I am new to the area and I haven't been to a Dunkin' in 15 years so I didn't know anything they were talking about and they were so frustrated with me. I was nice but I don't want to go back here just because they made me feel stupid for not knowing the Dunkin' menu by heart.

Generally a good location however they served me regular coffee when I asked for decaf. Coffee was for a caffeine sensitive person, no good.

They closed, just closed no warning no signs no nothing. Any business that is run as sloppy as this one deserves to be out of business.

This coffee shop is super welcoming and friendly. I love that it's not pretentious and there are plenty of seats for you to hang out and enjoy your coffee. I got the staff suggested salted caramel pistachio cold brew and a spinach and feta croissant. Both were delicious and I'll need a larger size of coffee next time. Staff was so friendly and kind!

A new day, a new coffee place to start a morning…read more I've actually been sitting on this review since August 8th, and originally, I was going to wait for another visit before I gave this a proper review. However, the more time I have actually had to sit with my thoughts of it, the more I realized I could just write one now and possibly update it later. So here we are at Cheshire Coffee, a coffee spot that sits oddly enough on the Waterbury side of the town line with Cheshire. Seriously, this place I don't even have to go outside my city limits for, and it is, notably enough in between the same two exits on I-84 as Blackie's is across the line. Much like The Loaded Goat Coffee Company in Naugatuck, this place is very inviting, cozy, with great coffees and excellent customer service. This visit involved an asiago bagel toasted with cream cheese, a beef chimichurri sandwich that the baristas panini-pressed for me, and a Churro Latte. All 3 of these things were good to great. Really, this review is mainly a 4-star review in the way that a place I don't have much of an impression on would get 4 stars. I would need to come back for more things to decide whether or not a 5th star would be warranted. But the interior helps makes a strong case for that star. I was most impressed with the poem on display as I was waiting for my coffee. It's not a detail I've shared yet here on Yelp, but this visit 's prompt me to say this now. So fun fact about me is that once upon a time, I wrote poetry. Late sophomore year of high school and going for a few years after and starting in 2007, I wrote poems any time I felt inspired to do so. I once attended a poetry slam that was held by my high school later in 2007 when I was in the first half of my junior year, and boy was that a great experience! Seeing the poem on display, I am really starting to think about getting back into writing poetry. I just need to find a muse and inspirations. This is honestly a great coffee option if I want to start traveling anywhere eastbound towards Hartford and such. I would totally come back in a situation that allows for it and try some other items.

I've been meaning to come to this place for a short while now. Honestly, the name of this establishment itself is pretty cool. Loaded Goat? Makes me think "liddy on a stack", and anything that makes me think "liddy on a stack" I gotta go check out. I actually tried to write a review here from the last week, but as I was writing, I'd realized something I don't always come across. I was at an impasse and couldn't finish this review on that visit, so I had to plan another trip here. Right away, I notice that rustic interior that's also quite cozy. There many flavors of coffees and latte to choose from with shots if you want something a little extra. Also, the prices here are very reasonable. I didn't get time to sit inside last time, but this time I had a much more laid-back experience. The vibe reminds me a little of a North Carolina ambiance with a splash of California mixed in for good measure. North Carolina because of the interior, and California because of the music. On this visit, the guy tending to me told me the microwave was down, so I couldn't have my croissant toasted. That was quite alright though since I had 2 more stops to make anyway, with one being about half hour's drive away from here. Besides, the croissant was still one of the better croissants I've had in a long time and seasoned perfectly, so I have no complaints, toasted or not. The coffees I had were the Snickers on my first visit and the Coconut Creme Pie Latte this time around. Both lattes were, indeed, liddies on stacks! They were both GOATED, and honestly I would come here more often if my schedules were more friendly to coming here. I have no complaints about this place period. I don't say this following kind of statement often, but I actually prefer this to Starbuck's! That's just how goated this place is.

I like my coffee sweet, so the self-service bar was perfect for customizing. Somewhere they say this is the #1 coffee in the state... I'm not so sure. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but you can tell it has a loyal crowd!

Fascia's Chocolates is a family-owned chocolaterie that opened in Waterbury, Connecticut in 1964…read more It was founded by husband and wife John & Helen Fascia. An electronic technician by trade, John worked for the Bristol Company. He began to roast nuts and sold them at work to supplement the young family's income. In an effort to increase sales, he and Helen began making chocolates in their basement. In addition to chocolate nut clusters, they soon began to make caramels, toffee and creams. The chocolates became so popular that soon the Fascia's basement operation couldn't keep up with the supply and demand. By 1978, they opened their first retail store on Meriden Road. Two years later, John quit his job so he could make chocolate full time. John and & Helen were soon joined by their three young daughters Louise, Lynne and Laurie. In 1985, the business moved to an expanded storefront on Wolcott Street. As business continued to grow, the business would relocate to Lakewood Road in 1990, Thomaston Avenue in 2008, and finally to Chase River Road in 2013. The Fascia Family still runs the business, although John & Helen are now semi-retired. My family and I recently visited Fascia's Chocolates to attend a special "Chocolate Experience". We were escorted into a small room with other attending families. There we were greeted by Company President Carmen Romeo, who happens to be married to Louise Fascia. He quickly informed us, "I may be the President, but my wife and her sister are the real bosses." He gave us all a presentation where he discussed the history of the company as well as chocolate production in general. He gave all attendees samples of the three main types of chocolate (Dark, Milk & White) and discussed the differences. Afterwards, all children were able to make their own chocolate bar with their choice of toppings. My sons both picked rice cereal and Fruity Pebbles. We also got to take a look at what happens in the production area. After the experience, we all went into the retail shop and explored all of the delicious chocolates that Fascia's produces. While I distracted my sons, my wife discreetly purchased some chocolate coins for St. Patrick's Day and chocolate bunnies for Easter. We all had a great experience at Fascia's Chocolates and hope to enjoy their delicious chocolate again!

The staff brought us to the back room where they go over the history of Fascia's chocolates, the different types and percentages of chocolate as well as other delicacies they make in their stores. We were even able to watch them make other candies live while we made our own. We made a chocolate bar with melted chocolate, decorated it with our candy selection and were able to bring it home. Definitely worth the time and price to learn a little history and take home a sweet treat!

The ambiance always feels like fall here too, even in other seasons. I went to grab a 6 count of their apple cider donuts without sugar coating and a pack of their apple fritter bites coated with sugar, truly one of my favorites! I can vouch for their pies as well as their other flavored donuts as I've tried mostly all of them through time. While taking pictures, I stumbled upon something I've been missing on trying which was their apple cider slushie running at $2 each, they are self serve. It was so good, you can't pass that or their fresh apple cider for a $1 a cup, also self serve. This establishment is most definitely a long time local hidden gem, a favorite for many! They have apple picking available, apples for sale inside, as well as pies, more donuts, & a plethora of other fall items to purchase. Some staff members do seem friendlier than others but I try my best to never judge as my experiences still have continuously gone well. Go show this establishment some love and support!
