The storefront is nice and the staff was really friendly and helpful. The nutella stuffed cookie was great, especially with the sea salt on top. The pistachio cheesecake had a strong, artificial pistachio taste, and I was surprised it was $7 for a slice! Not pictured was the cream cheese brownie, which was unfortunately so under baked that the brownie batter was oozing out so I had to toss it. I may be back to try their cupcakes or to grab another nutella cookie. read more

Absolutely love Sweet Mia's! Went here on a Saturday late afternoon and was lucky enough to still grab some macarons, cupcakes, and cheesecake. Everything I had was so good! I had the funfetti & chocolate raspberry macrons and loved them- the macarons were perfectly made! I also got their chocolate mousse cupcake and can tell you I've never had a better cupcake! The frosting was so light and the cake was so moist. I seriously would love to get this as a cake one day! The cheesecake was a show stopper! I got the raspberry swirl and it was so light, creamy and delicious! I cannot wait to go back and will definitely arrive a little earlier/ call ahead next time to make sure they don't sell out before I get there! It's that good! Will be back! Wow! We've tried cupcake all over the State of CT and were surprised to learn of Mia's in our town. Holy smokes. Fresh, real butter cream and cream cheese icing. And it isn't just cupcakes. Lots of other baked desserts like apple crumble, cookies and cannolis. read more

This is really a beautiful bakery owned by sisters. I met Mia. She was really nice. The cupcakes are really good. Highly recommend this place. The strawberry chocolate and chocolate mousse cupcakes were really good. They tasted fresh. When you order the cupcake, they put the frosting on it, so they're really fresh. The Nutella cookie is really popular because it's so good. Nice to support a women owned business. read more

I have been here several times. The cupcakes are homemade and so delicious. I have my favorites. It is hard to find as it is in a neighborhood. I think it would be best served to the public if it was downtown, it would be more convenient for all. Inside, it cold be cleaner and a lot cooler in the summer with the air conditioning on. We just had Sweet Mia's make the cake and cupcakes for our baby shower and everything was so delicious. Everyone was raving about how good everything tasted. We ordered a vanilla and chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and whip cream frosting. I sent in a reference photo and it came out so cute! Oh Sweet Mia, I have been looking forward to cozying up by the campfire with one of your tempting cupcakes, but you've made my brown eyes blue. I moseyed up to your chuck wagon where I was greeted with a smile and offer of assistance. The days offerings were checked out with me choosin' a Boston Cream for the missus and one other, the name of which escapes me. I feel like I have been bushwacked by the Dalton gang after tasting the frostings that were more akin to marshmallow Fluff than butter cream. The bottoms were equally disappointin' with one drier than dirt and the other sufferin' from too little flavor. It was with a tear in my beer that their half eaten remains were buried on Boot Hill. My family and I stumbled upon Sweet Mia's while in the area picking up dinner, wanting something sweet. First off, the absolute cutest little bakery. When you walk inside, it is so happy. Everything is displayed so beautifully with a nice board of cupcake flavors listed. The young woman working was so kind (and beautiful) and informed us that the cupcakes were decorated and boxed to order. We were so excited. We ended up getting a variety box of cupcakes (pictured) and a lemon square and some gluten free cheesecake brownies. When we got home and finally dug into these, not one single dessert disappointed. The lemon squares were perfectly tart and soft. The cheesecake brownies were rich and delicious without being too dense or dry. The cupcakes were the true stars though. Every flavor was absolute perfection; inside and out. We ended up sharing some of the flavors and even family members who claimed they "weren't (insert flavor here) people" had to sing the praises of every last cupcake. They were perfect flavors, perfect sizes, perfect proportions, perfectly decorations. I would be back here in a heartbeat with another sweet tooth demand. Honestly, SO much better quality and taste than most of these "big name" cupcake businesses around Connecticut. Highly recommend! read more

Honestly, if someone could bottle the scent when you walk into here! I would stay there if only for aroma therapy. It's a family business & they treat you like family. Very friendly, informative & helpful. I picked up a variety of brownies & blondies for a birthday girl. Owner put a nice bright bow around box. I got an immediate report later that night that they felt it was the best brownies they have ever had. exact words: " killer cream cheese brownies!" i'll leave all the moaning out! This place is still amazing! During the pandemic they offered curbside and I ordered regularly. It's my go-to for holidays, birthdays, get-together. Everyone always raves. Great range of cupcakes from chocolate mousse to more unique flavors like s'mores (hummingbird is my favorite). Also love the cheesecakes, cookies, whoopie pies and handheld pies! So glad the shop is open for foot traffic again because once you see what these desserts look like, you won't be able to resist. Service is always friendly! read more

It happened to be Valentines Day so I was pleased that they still had a large selection of goodies! When I arrived I realized I had been here once before. It wasn't that memorable the first time because they didn't have the nutella filled chocolate chip cookies I was hoping to try. They had them this time. They are topped with sea salt which definitely brings out the sweetness of the chocolate. The cookie was very good but would be better as a simple chocolate chip cookie, of which there aren't any really good ones around. I would suggest using finer sea salt, too, as the larger pieces became too salty at times. The nutella filling is nice but makes it just too sweet. I'm sure there's a huge follow for it but I would prefer a simple cc cookie. I also got a hummingbird cupcake. It was denser than I'm used to but very good nonetheless. read more

I wasn't too much of a fan of this place. Doesn't have the best parking only a handful spots. I did get a few cupcakes from there they seem to be from the day before they were fresh. The frosting seemed hard, but I am willing to go back and give this place another chance. They're not open every single day. read more

Still warm from the oven- perfectly cooked with crispy chewy edges and melty center and a touch of sea salt crystals- wow! Cupcakes also good- not overly sweet old-school frosting. I went to sweet Mia's when they first opened. we got 3 cupcakes. carrot cake, chocolate and I forgot the other one. the owner gave us cake pops for our first time coming in, and they were delicious. however, the cupcakes were dry and tasteless. the frosting was hard and crusty, and they seemed like they were sitting for a while. I don't know if they improved since then but I didn't have a good experience from them. read more

She answered the phone with just an aggressive hello and it completely caught me off guard, and was not helpful with the questions I had so I just hung up. I got to explore the exposed brick and large filament lights of this specific locale, and picked up some sweets from this little shop. It's very much loud and proud in it's appearances on popular food television. Having pride in your success is a good thing, but it's very much in your face about it. It also prices accordingly, making the price of the baked goods you get at least a couple bucks extra. Thankfully, the baked goods are actually pretty good. We got a couple misfits, a couple french macarons, and one of the dessert waffles they had. The misfit muffins tasted pretty good, soft and light, not too sweet, and well balanced. The French macarons, they were not too great. the filling was sweet but lacking depth. they were pretty though. The standout was the Dessert waffle. Sweet, crispy but cakey, and plenty of chocolate and peanut butter flavor. A surprising bite, and tasty. Overall, it's a good dessert place to go to and try out. The two bakers were then featured on Food Network shows such as "Winner Cake All" and "Cupcake Wars", winning the latter. After that, they opened their first brick and mortar bakery. Most recently they competed on the Netflix show "Sugar Rush". A second location opened in Southington at the historic Factory Square complex in October 2021. Another location once existed at the Buckland Hills Mall in Manchester, but it has since closed. The locations offer cupcakes, custom cakes, cake pops, whoopie pies, cookies and muffins. I stopped at the Southington location of Hardcore Sweet for the first time this past July. Several businesses located at Factory Square were offering special menu items to celebrate Harry Potter's birthday. Factory Square is located conveniently alongside the popular Farmington Canal Trail, so I cycled there. Hardcore Sweet had several Harry Potter offerings that day, but by the time I had arrived most of them were sadly sold out. I ordered one of the few Harry Potter treats that they had left: Buckbeak's Breakfast Cupcake. It was delicious! I definitely need to come back to try more of their tasty treats on a future visit to Factory Square. I just need to get there earlier in the day when their selection is bigger.

Not as great as they used to be. My family previously utilized this bakery for various occasions, such as weddings and showers. I recently attended a birthday party where this bakery's services were employed, and the cake was subpar in both taste and decoration. The cake was dry, and the frosting was excessively sweet. Great place for any type of baked goods! Ordered a strawberry filled caked and several dozen cupcakes. The cake was out of this world, amazingly delicious! The cupcakes had a nice little surprise when you take that first bite. Most of the cupcakes had a cream fill but some had pudding (I think) and it depended on the cupcake but I thought it was great. Highly recommend this bakery! I stopped in to get a few goodies for a dinner party because I didn't have time to bake myself. I wanted to get cannoli's but didn't know they usually only make them on the weekends when they have cake orders. Yet they were nice enough to whip up a batch of filling for me and made 4 cannoli's which were to die for! Excellent costumer service and delicious treats! A true gem!! read more

We visited one of the newer entries in Canton yesterday. Located in the Canton Green Plaza in Building 5 (Rear) at 220 Albany Turnpike, the Frosted Sheep Bake Shop specializing in cookies and cupcakes. They just opened this weekend with free samples of their signature Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie and Strawberry Cupcake. Of course, we sampled both and the Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie was clearly our favorite. We loved it so much, we bought a full-sized version ($4) and a Lemon Drop Cookie ($4). The Lemon flavor really popped, and it was just as good as the Chocolate Chip. And as a bonus for our visit, we were among the shop's first 100 guests and strolled out eith a free branded tote bag! Service was great, and there were quite a few happy smiling faces on both sides of the sales counter.
