Review Visit: August 11th, 2015 I will never be Dunn exploring coffeehouses! Dunn Bros serves up your typical coffeehouse experience. They offer baked goods, coffee, a nice interior, friendly staff and did I mention.. caffeinated products! My friend Matt and I decided to make the semi-short drive to Dunn Brothers to try it out and see if it being on my list for a few years was worth it. Overall, everything was nice. The store was clean and had a fun vibe to it, the staff and patrons were chill. Prices were on par with every other coffee place visited so far. The coffee... well I ordered an iced caramel latte (in the frozen/blended variety) and it was good. Nothing stellar, but not bad. They offer baked goods and a breakfast/lunch menu, but we ate at Van's Pizza Pub & Grill, so neither of us were hungry. You know, overall, it was a pretty good place. It wouldn't be first on my coffee stops, but it wouldn't be last. They have 80+ locations in the states with most located in Minnesota and it spreads out from there. So if you are in the area, grab a coffee for you (and me ;D). read more

The owner of this establishment Ginna called the police on me after I have been ripped off with foam in my drink numerous times. This is one of the worst coffee establishments in the quad cities. If people still frequent this place after this review I feel sorry for you. I would rather get a full mocha at East Moline Coffee company or even Starbucks compared to the price and amount of liquid you get in a cup. Rather than return my money for a rotten drink the owner decided to call the police. So if you go to Dunn Brothers expect to get ripped off. They have no idea the amount of foam which drinks are supposed to have. Ginna would rather poorly train her staff and call the police on you, than refund your money or make your drink right. Liked their cold brew so much we ended up stopping by on our way back to Chicago to grab a 64 oz growler. I am set for the week. They were out of Nitro so we couldn't try any of their nitro infused cold brew drinks. Hubby got the vanilla infused cold brew while I got the chocolate based cold brew. Both were tasty but a little stronger than what I'm used to. Staff is super friendly and quite helpful. read more

Cute place! We frequent Dunn's bros often (drive thru) on 53rd But I stopped in this location during a crazy snow storm. I had an hour to kill and wanted warm coffee! My boyfriend and I came here. Large parking space, outdoor and indoor seating. Outdoor seating is a little crowded but it is very cute. The inside is decorated adorably. The barista was new, but she did a good job. Two coffees (medium and large) were about $8, so that isn't too bad in my opinion. The only problem was that neither my boyfriend or I enjoyed our coffee. I think it was just too much espresso, so I might have to change my order, but it just wasn't too good. I'm sure there are other things that would have been better suiting. I've always thought of Dunn Brothers as a better alternative to Starbucks. Grinding and roasting beans on premises not only add to the coffee experience but to the visit itself. My only issue with this location is that they ask for a tip on the credit card machine. In fact they make it rather difficult not to leave a tip. It does not even show an option for that. Setting an expectation before any service has been rendered that their people deserve a tip. Considering I'm waiting my own table and paying at the register I'm not really receiving any service other than the product that they are selling. But shipping at these locations is a bigger issue. My issue is how they make it difficult not to leave a tip on the credit card machine. I always look at it comparing my option going to McDonald's and getting a pretty good latte. Those people there working often for minimum wage. Again the coffee is good they just need to change how they set expectations on their customers. read more

I came here because on Sundays, "The Crepe Guy" makes and serves crepes here. It is a treat for sure! He serves here on Sundays and at the Freight Market on Saturdays. He offers a choice of "sweet" or "savory", with ingredients varying each day he serves. Check out the pics from the day we came in for crepes and coffee! If crepes aren't your thing, you can still get a great coffee and a bakery treat. It really will satisfy your morning cravings. Only drawback is that while there is plenty of seating, it's not as easy to find a seat on a crowded Sunday, especially if the weather isn't hospitable for sitting outside. read more

I have to admit that I'm a Dunn Bros Coffee ADDICT now. After visiting with my friend Stephanie over the summer, I was introduced to Bulletproof™ Coffee. This is where cold-pressed coffee is spun with coconut oil and butter. Since I'm a vegan, I omit the butter and opt for a flavored syrup instead. TIP: Try a Bulletproof Light Roast, omit the butter and add 3 pumps of pumpkin syrup. It is pure HEAVEN. The staff at Dunn Bros Coffee know me now as a regular. They always greet me with a smile and there is a very neighborly feel to the environment. Also a great area to work on projects, if need be...as they offer WiFi and beautiful seating. I was traveling for work from Chicago and I never thought I'd find a place that sells bulletproof coffee! Wow. I am doing whole 30, so traveling and eating out is extremely difficult. When I saw they make their coffee with coconut oil, I was sold for sure. I got a medium roast with coconut oil and was very, very satisfied with it! My one complaint- I wanted to get an omelette, and they only did sandwiches at this location. On the menu, I didn't see anywhere where it specified locations for omelettes. Oh well! Perky staff. Great coffee. Solid food. My dad got the egg sandwich and the presentation was nice. It looked like how McDonalds egg sandwiches look like in the commercials. I got the oatmeal with all the fix ins, as well as one of their homemade meal bars (both of which are solid vegan choices). Possibly the best coffee shop atmosphere in the Quad Cities. Lots of natural light due to the many windows. Plenty of electrical outlets, which helps if you're working on your laptop. Friendly staff. Good coffee. Appreciate how they support local businesses and sell Fair Trade coffee. The only downside is the limited seating. It's limited mostly due to how crowded it can get, not because they don't have enough seats. Love going there on Sunday late morning for the Crepe Guy! read more

The two of us received free samples of coffee. Being it was our first time there. All of which tasted fantastic! They serve a good variety of coffee from several regions of the world. The customer service is always on point, though I noticed a little snickering behind the counter directed toward another customer, they were very courteous and polite! Was 5 stars, now 1. Update- drinks are messed up every time I go. My father and I decided to check Dunn Bros Coffee out one morning for a quick cup of coffee. My dad was extremely indecisive about what to order so when we asked the barista at the counter to explain things on the menu and give her recommendations based on my dad's tastes, she was a great help! The customer service from her and the other workers was very helpful and super friendly. The layout and design of the coffee shop was super warm and welcoming. The only negative was that it was a little packed so seating was very limited during this particular time. I only drink decaf so to find out they had decaf iced coffee unlike most coffee shops was great! Pricing was very reasonable and the non-coffee items were awesome as well. read more

This is the best coffee I have had in Iowa. The quality of the roasts is better than Starbucks, Java House, Dunkin, etc. The portions are generous, and the price can't be beat. The worst thing is that this location is always busy. Very hard to get a seat at times. Thankfully, they are opening a second one nearby. It's also kind of sad they got rid of Crepes Sunday. Decided to try Dunn Bro's one morning when I was in town. They have a nice atmosphere - bicycle friendly (They have a nice bike rack outside made from a tree trunk). They have quite a few tables inside and some tables outside. It was pretty bust when we got there, and only got more crowded as time went on. I didn't try any of the food (although it looked intriguing). I ordered a plain latte. It tasted good (prices are comparable to a Starbucks), but it was HOT. My hand was burning through the cardboard sleeve. I ended up getting a glass of ice and made it into an iced latte. The service was quick and friendly. There was a check-in deal for $1 off (always a fan of deals), so take advantage of that! read more

One of my favorite things to order (at least 4 days a week for the past year) is your yogurt parfait. It was at least 16oz or 18oz with a lot of fresh fruit in the glass....and had granola in the cap. Since I have been ordering these lately, it seems like they are not filling the yogurt or fruit to the top of the glass. Also, they are using less and less granola. Today I ordered one and they have now changed to Greek yogurt (which I like)...but the container is much smaller and the cap of granola is not at all full. I was happy to spend 3.95 for the original parfait, but will not be getting the "new" parfaits after today. I think that when you have a good product that is making you money.....why change it!! I refuse to spend 3.95 for a small cup of yogurt with a small amount of granola in the top. If I wanted that I could have been going to McDonalds all of this time. Nancy C read more
