It took about less than a week to get it back, but they said it had a faulty NVME so I needed to pay nearly $300 for a replacement. They also verbally said Windows couldn't load but the paper they gave back clearly stated it did boot. But by the time I took it home, I tested it out myself. I inserted the "so called faulty NVME" and my laptop DID boot up. I thought I still had a battery issue because it would only boot up while it was charging. I then saw they disconnected the thin wire to the battery which directed current from the power supply. They never plugged it back in. After finding that out, I did my own diagnostics and couldn't see any issues with my NVME. I used the Windows Powershell terminal to check on the NVME's health and there were no issues what so ever. I went back to ask what exactly the issue was and what actually got my laptop to turn on, because clearly it wasn't the NVME. The man got mad and wanted me to take down any review with the return of the $100, but I refused. I will never know what they did to get my laptop to turn on again, but I do know they scammed me into believing my OS couldn't boot and I needed their NVME replacement for $300... Usually NVMEs fail early on when getting a new laptop (infant mortality rate of 3-6 months) and I've had this laptop for many years now. NVMEs don't even have anything to do with the battery so this tipped me off. They used simple NVME health tools which I replicated (they mentioned CrystalDiskInfo) and saw NOTHING wrong. They either don't know what they're doing/talking about or they're intentionally scamming. Get your laptop issues fixed else where and save your money. They are not transparent and will create issues rather than fix it. Glad they turned on my laptop at least. That's all I needed. Do your own research as well and understand what EXACTLY they're telling you.

I'm writing this because I crashed my phone into a boulder while running a steep rocky trail, had…read moreto get online for the number, and happened to use yelp. I noticed there were only 4 stars, which surprised me, so I read through the 5-stars to the 1-star. What I found is a guy who tried to sell a refrigerator (a laptop) to an Eskimo (Vince). Vince is not a laptop guy. Maybe he's heard from chiropractors like me how laptops destroy the neck and prevent healing. And I have to ask: Why didn't the guy go to a store that dealt in laptops, AND, if that laptop was so good, why was the guy getting rid of it? Logical guess is that it was stolen and a person who dealt in laptops was more likely to figure that out. Maybe Vince was being a good guy and willing to spend $200 to turn it over to the cops and get the guy busted. And if it wasn't hot, Vince was going to have to sell it at an irresistibly low price because people don't come to Computer Addiction looking for laptops. Okay, now for my experience! After wandering through computer vendors for years, I wandered into Computer Addiction 15+ years ago and have been going back there ever since. My only dissatisfaction is when Vince, the owner, isn't there. Jeffy is good, the other guys before him were good, but Vince is so thought-provoking and fun to work with that I always sigh when it's not him. I'm very basic in my computer needs, not into spending a bunch of money for a top-flight setup, and Vince always has an economical repair, an economical upgrade, or an economical refurbished computer to keep me functional. That's all I ask and all I want. GUEST EDITORIAL: If all of the ratings are 5-stars, except for one 1-star, it's time to think there's something wrong with the 1-star.

You might walk up to a good looking car and…read morewant to pull parts from that one but the smart folks are going to wrecked cars because those cars were in good condition before they ended up in the scrapheap. The ones that looked good were left there by owners having problems and you're likely to pull faulty or wore out parts. No bueno. Instead of wrecked cars, Hi Tech Liquidation gets their merch from "going out of business " liquidations so the gear coming out of there was still in use and in good condition. The laptops and desktop computers are also high end with pro specs and at the prices of the cheap Walmart PCs. I myself picked up a 10-year-old HP EliteBook 8460P for $200 that is still in excellent working order. I wanted to use it for a couple of months before I posted this. I'm able to make it my main computer for my recording studio. Besides laptops (PC & MacBook), this big warehouse also has desktop computers (PC/iMac), ram sticks, internal/external hard drives and many other extras to build the perfect computer for you. All high-end. They also have TVs and office furnishings with a huge selection of office chairs as far as the eye can see. It's family owned and they are all knowledgeable of the equipment they sell. Extremely polite, friendly and very helpful. It's become my new toy store. I sometimes just go there to browse and see if anything new arrived and I almost always go home with something. I strongly recommend this place. You won't find a better deal on high-end equipment anywhere.
