So my review was deleted so I'm writing it again. This location has the worst customer service from Michael, the bald rude guy. It was a Sunday and I was at target and the bathroom line was really long. I went next door to this location, and they had ONE older woman customer in there looking at paint. I asked if they had a restroom and the younger employee said yes and told me to grab the bathroom key from the front. I said thank you. As I'm walking to the front, Michael comes from the back and asks if I need help. I said im grabbing the restroom key. ( I don't need his help, just stating what I was doing, as if I wasn't already helped by someone who was present ). He then goes OFF and was like "how does everyone know we have a bathroom key?!?!? ONLY PAINTERS COME IN HERE!!!!! I said the bathroom line next door was long. He then proceeds to embarrass himself by saying " well If it was a 31 flavors next door would you go and ask for the bathroom???! " I said EXCUSE ME? The older woman looked at him so shocked and appalled. I walked off and used the restroom. Ironically, If you took advantage of people with great customer service walking in your EMPTY store, you would gain more customers and referrals, but sadly this won't be the case. Kayla was fantastic, she was very patient and knew her colors very well, in fact I've never seen anyone come close to her expertise. Shout out to Kayla Denise, their color consultant. I know nothing about paint and what colors look and work best for homes, but thank goodness Kayla sure does! I had no idea that some colors fade faster than others due to sunlight (UV rays) and others last longer in sunlight! And I never thought about making certain that my roof color needed to be an integral deciding factor on my paint choice if I wanted it all to look good with one another. In less than 30 minutes Kayla offered me more paint education than what I've had in my lifetime! So I left with lots of paint chips to consider and an offer to continue helping me thru this monumental decision-making process. Oh and did I mention all this help is FREE???? So Dunn-Edwards... On 11/19/2021 around 10:30am, I went in to get paint for the trim on my house matched. I brought in a quart of the actual paint. The guy who tried to help said he could help me match the color but I needed to tell him what sheen I wanted. I'm not a paint expert which is why I went to Dunn. I told him I have no clue what the sheen is and asked why he didn't just paint a sample from my can and match it. He said "it doesn't work that way" and repeated that I needed to pick a sheen. I got very frustrated, grab my sample and left. Went to home Depot and they greeted me with a very friendly, "yes, we can help you". It took them less than 15 minutes and I had a gallon of perfectly matched paint. Either Dunn doesn't train their employees or they just have crappy service. read more

Extremely helpful staff. Design services available. Closed on Sundays but open at 6:30 am weekdays! The challenge was to match the new house paint to the existing warranted ADOBE STONE Martin Garage Door; we could not paint the garage door because it would void the warranty. Even more challenging, I was having to select colors from California for my home in Arizona! I visited the Buena Park, CA Dunn Edwards store a couple of times, purchased paint samples, only to return again for more. I could not decide! When I finally sat down with Michael Rios, Professional Color Advisor for the Buena Park, CA store, it finally started coming together to help me make a decision. Using my photo, he tried a few different color options. I was finally able to make a color decision for a home that was almost 500 miles away. My house color in Arizona turned out exceptionally well! I chose HICKORY as the main color for the house with PRACTICAL TAN as the trim. The DE HICKORY matched perfectly with my ADOBE STONE Martin garage door! I was thrilled!! Gorgeous! I had a situation with another Dunn-Edwards paint store where I had bought paint & primer. The employee at that store had giving me t8nt for my primer. Which he told me would make my job easier. When I got home to my project I opened up the primer and it was gray. This store replaced my primer that was tinted with a white one like I needed. At no charge to me which saved my bacon and i got my security deposit back . read more

I was unhappy with the last paint I purchased from another hardware store and thought I would try Dunn Edwards. I brought them a couple of stir sticks with my paint color on them and they matched the color perfectly. Also, the paint itself was actually better quality. There were 5 employees and two managers(with ties and shirt on) and im standing at the counter and waiting to get help. Two employees are helping one customer, one is at the office, and one of the managers and an employees were just chatting... they know that im here but it seems like they dont care because they believe some one else is going to help me.... I've never painted before so I am a noob. I decided to come in here and was greeted by Assistant Store Manager Mario. All I can say is he provided excellent customer service, recommended me all the right tools to get my job done, and gave me good tips. After using his recommended painting tools, my bathrooms came out amazing. No splatter or messes whatsoever. The ladder and drop cloth I used was perfectly spotless after painting.
