We had our house professionally painted a couple years ago, and they utilized Benjamin Moore paints and stains from a source in Redlands. I was doing touch ups today and realized I didn't have enough outdoor stain to complete my trim. I went to the store it was purchased from and felt I had walked into a ghost town. After waiting over 15 minutes, an employee finally came to the counter. I placed the can on the counter, and the employee said they didn't have the Benjamin Moore Arborcoat solid stain anymore. No problem, I'll take whatever the replacement product is. I was told there WAS a replacement, but they wouldn't be able to match the color. So I asked, "what's the difference? Is the sheen different? Does it lay lighter or darker than what I have?" The employee didn't know and offered no potential solution. Leaving the Redlands store, I Googled Dunn Edwards and found a location in Colton. Jack, the employee who helped me, told me they have a similar product, and matching what I had wouldn't be a problem, just do a wet sample with their photospectrometer. Fifteen minutes after I walked in the door, they had a gallon of fresh stain ready to go. The dried sample on the Dunn Edwards container matched the sample on the old can perfectly! My recommendation: the Dunn Edwards store in Colton, and Jack in particular, provided a stellar experience, perfectly matching the color/sheen of the stain I needed with phenomenal customer service to boot! read more

Guillermo was the worst Manager I have ever dealt with. Came in looking for help and to spend some money. He was not interested in offering opinions on anything. Every question I asked was a short answer and didn't seem to want to help. I brought hundreds of dollars to spend but Guillermo made me want to get bare minimum and run out as fast as possible . I am going to another paint store today and spend the money somewhere else.This guy needs to be re-trained. No customer service. If you hate your job then quit. I saw this old man painter with a hurt back. He always asked for help from the employees. Because he couldn't do it himself. I was helping him with a girl manager. The lead tinted Ayhlandro came put and said. This man's work. He insulted the injured old man. The woman trying to do her job. Women can do anything men can do. One day I took a break. I came back. One of my girl co workers. Tells me allyhandro won't let her work the truck. Because she is girl. Its mans work. I go to Carlos. He said it was none of my business. He spent 45 minutes trying to convince me that women will get hurt doing the truck. He eventually let me go. I went to the store. Manager Brian. He said it was none of my business. He ignored me. Both the sexist manager were never punished. Bryan didn't care two Male manage nors weren't letting women grow their own business. On my very first day of working. I was working on the paper work. Allyhandro said I missed stocked stuff. One day there was a manager meetings. Allyhandro and John were mad at Kera. She was the store manager in Corona. They wanted her to take his delivery to her store. They called her the b word.i told the..manager didn't care. I spent every day in the office telling on people. One day i put in a full 8 hour physical shift. As I am leaving. The manager carlos tells me to do the truck. I looked at the stuff half the stuff is gone. I tried to pick up the paint. I drop it. start to get sick from the work. I tell a manager about an employee that does the truck paper work after he stocks thrck. I get pulled into the office the next day. They tell me I don't help anyboave store.dy. It was funny the names they listed were. There was a cute girl I stopped every single time she needed help. I stopped what I was doing. Then there was this girl who had her appendix taken out. I Lifted everything for her. She owes me a cake because I helped her so much. We had this elder man at the store. At his retirement party he told me thank you for the help. We would have store manager meetings. Every manager would ask me for help . I called her. So they had a meeting with me the store manager an the district manager. The person above her. They all the assistant manager had no idea why they said that. The manager said I could be a regional manager. God bla calless One day they told me. I had times to work the truck. If I had 18 pallets to do. I had until my break. If I had one pallet I had until my break. One day Carlos got a phone call. I paged him over the inter com. He told me that it was rude for me to use the intercom. He said he wanted me to ignore my customers and tell him in person he had a call. Why do we have the intercom if we can't use it. There was times Carlos would call me a bad employee for clocking out on time. He never asked just got mad when I left. I worked there for years. I showed up to work a half an hour early every day. Judge in case they need me to clock in. I got written up for being late. By Bryan. I was a minute late twice. I started there 2015. I worked super hard. I was let go after 5 months. They told me to keep calling back . It took ten months. They hired 3 people when I was gone .I got hired back as a temp. I was a year long temp.One day I tripped over a andrcase of paint. I had a bruised knee. I left and came back. I came into the store. I asked sandra. If I needed a register. She said I am no longer a cashier. I asked Bryan if this is true. He said he didn't care what I wanted. I told my legs ate shot. I told him I needed to go. He told me I needed to work the pallet. He said if I didn't he was going to write me up. I told him I would. He kept saying it. I kept telling him. I would. So I went to do the work. He stops me. He told me to work the other side. I did. I worked for four hours. Until they let me stop. I was in the office getting ready to go. They shove Wright up papers in my face. He set me up. I tried to do the work. He stopped me. I called her. But they said they would call me. I am so thankful for the staff that was on hand while I was getting samples to paint my house. I had absolutely no idea of what colors to use other than I wanted it in the grey family. I asked the lady at the counter if anyone was good with color schemes for outdoor painting on stucco for my house. She said "no" then looked around for her co-workers and another lady said she didn't but she knew of another lady at one of the other locations and she was great at color schemes. So they actually took the time to track down the other employee and handed me the phone to talk to her and I told her what I was painting and what colors. She quickly gave me colors that she said look great and are trending right now. I took her advice got the samples and She couldn't have been more right in her recommendations. The entire time I was there they made sure I knew about their paints and what works best with what. Suffice to say I painted my house with the colors she recommended and my house looks fabulous. First let me say that I am not a contractor just someone who needed to paint his house. Through a friend that used to paint houses, I chose Dunn Edwards. I found the paint to be superior, though on the costly side, but you get what you pay for. The paint is great and I'm sure it will last. The service here is fantastic. Worst experience I've ever had! I am remodeling my home and the first time I got paint I went to the Colton store. Got home and realized I got the wrong paint. I went to the Moreno Valley location and they kindly replaced it for me. I then went back to the Moreno Valley location and got the rest of the paint I needed. Unfortunately my painting didn't get done because I did not purchase enough paint. Sunday morning I went back to the Colton store only because they open at 8am and I needed to be back at my home for deliveries by 10am. I asked Desiree to to please look up my order from my past purchase just days prior because I have the paint colors and wanted to make sure I got the correct paint, I know now to just bring the cans of paint with me. But after she looked them up she told me the colors I needed I purchased in eggshell paint. Okay, so I purchased two gallons of eggshells paint in two separate colors along with a few more gallons of paint and other items. Very happy to get my painting finished I get home to find out this was INCORRECT. The paint I needed was semi gloss and not eggshell. I then call Desiree at the Colton location to explain she told me the wrong paint and sold me the wrong paint and I need to bring it back to get the correct paint. She told me it was not her fault and she could not exchange my paint. When I asked to speak to a manger her response was "that is me" I responded great I will just call your corporate office then and she said "okay" and hung up the phone. I then called her regional manager whom happens to be a friend of the family. And it is being taken care of at the Moreno Valley store once again. Thank you Dunn Edwards of Moreno Valley! Fantastic Service! I arrived at Dunn Edwards exhausted. I had been trying to find just the right stain for my bedroom closets and had been to four different stores already. Trying to save time I shopped closer to home. Big mistake..... I had to shop on my own at the other stores as they do not offer personal service. With two shelves in hand, one already stained and the other needing stain I was immediately assisted by Jessica Wilson and Daniel Sanchez. Both had amazing patience. After a few different stains later we found just the right one. These two employees were so pleasant and helpful that I know where I will be shopping for all my painting needs. There is no reason to buy paint anywhere else. I recently started remodeling my house and I needed paint. I used to work at the fire station in Grand Terrace and used to drive by this store on my way to the station. When it came time to buy paint for my house, this was the first place I thought of. The staff at this store is super helpful. They have many color chips or swatches available and the staff is very knowledgeable of colors, shades, and finishes. I bought a sample and painted it on my wall. I was very pleased with this sample and decided to buy two gallons of a particular color. After painting two WHOLE walls with this color, it turned out that the color was not the same as the sample. I was really disappointed. When I went in to the store to buy a different color, the lady at the counter offered to exchange the paint that I had already purchased due to the fact that the paint I purchased differed in color from the sample that I purchased previously. This store, or company, really values return business. I explained my dilemma of the sample vs the actual paint and they exchanged for a different color without hesitation. I am a sucker for customer service and will never buy paint from any other store. They also sell fantastic Dunn Edwards brand brushes which are as good as Corona or Purdy. I really can not speak enough for the service at this store. The staff provide exceptional customer service. I live in Yucaipa and gladly drive to Colton (Grand Terrace) to buy paint at this tore.
