Had a wonderful experience shopping at the Dunn-Edwards store in Glendora. The staff members are all so knowledgeable and friendly. Two team members that really stuck out was Timothy and Lowell. I had this project of either staining or painting an unfinished solid pine wood breakfast table I recently bought at a store. I did not have much experience with staining or painting. My first option was to stain the table the clearest form of stain to retain the light color of the wood. After making visits with my local Home Depot and Lowe's and asking the associates there, i thought I was on the right path to obtaining the correct stain color and handling my project. Well I learned the hard way. The stain color I selected (although was labeled Natural) when applying it, it actually provided an almost orange golden color to the table. This really went against me and my husband's expectation and did not match the theme of our house. We then decided the best solution was to paint the table a solid color to match the paint color of the chairs we wanted to use with the table. Since we felt this project needed more attention and detail, I decided to visit Dunn-Edwards and obtain the proper help. That ended up being the best decision because I after being assisted with both Timithy and Lowell, I felt I was on the right path. Timothy was so knowledgeable, helpful and patient to answer all my questions. He helped me choose the proper paint form and grade for my table. He even had this special method of color matching the paint color from the actual chair we brought to the store. He explained the importance of sanding the table to remove the original stain before applying the new paint color. Lowell, the other team member was also helpful in choosing the proper materials, like the sand paper grade and paint brushes to assure a quality job. In the end, I couldn't be more happier with the final result of my table painting project and I owe it all the friendly team members at Dunn-Edward's especially Timothy and Lowell. If you are looking for quality paint, materials and expert advice for a particular project, then look not further from Dunn-Edwards, especially the Glendora location. read more

This review is a bit late but had to come here to thank Miranda for doing a wonderful job in helping me pick the perfect color for my walls. It always amazes me when you have a millennial working in a store who can't think past basic answer of "no our color specialist. isn't available" answer. What you should've been taught to say, and I'm sure you were, was to go ask the color specialist or manager if they could come out and help a customer as by looking at how empty the store was I am sure all business is welcome. read more

Popped in on a Saturday morning with five cans of old paint. I recently had a ceiling fan installed and a light fixture replaced so I needed to match the paint colors to fix where the patches were for the installations. Oh my goodness. I walked into this store with a paint color question which was so you guys carry colors for spray paint. I came to ask her and she walked towards a guy who was sitting down and appeared she was helping previously so I patiently waited my turn and went to the register and stood in line when no one else was. So I try and do as much as I can myself but the last few weeks I've dealing with some heavy family issues all in the middle of repainting the house. My head wasn't in it and I didn't like the color I originally chose; too light. So I got on the Dunn Edwards website and chose what I thought was a medium gray. My contractor went and bought 5 gallons of the paint. He came and started painting the house and noticed it was bright lavender, like periwinkle. I thought for sure they made a mistake at Dunn Edwards. So I went and talked to the manager Sean and bought 4 samples of what I thought the other color was. He was very nice and assured me if it was their mistake he would fix it. After choosing the color I wanted i lugged back the wrong color and take to Sean again. We in fact verified the correct color was mixed. (Note to self: never pick a color on line) I'm on a budget and to think I just wasted $200 was very upsetting. Sean could see i was concerned and did everything in his power to fix it for me. Customer service is huge and this store and manager were the best I've experienced in a long time. Dunn Edwards paints are of superior quality in comparison to a lot of other brands. My father is a professional painter and often says their paints don't fade. He's often annoyed when clients ask for Sherman Williams and other brands. Went into this location for the first time today. It lives up to the level of service I have come to expect from Dunn Edwards. The worker at the Resource Center was friendly and informative. He couldn't get the scanner to scan my Yelp! coupon, so he just have me my third paint sample. When buying a paint sample there was a slight flaw in the mix, so they made me a new one even though I couldn't tell a difference. Excellent....glad the staff could provide us with all the info needed for paint selection with our HOA!,,,, Wyatt (personality plus) assisted us in steps necessary to select the desired paint color for our home...he sent several examples of projected look on the house, and offered suggestions on selecting colors, etc. On the 2nd visit, Wyatt was not in, but the most efficient young lady, Sara, was available to answer questions and provide the paint samples we needed. I've bought here before but on 12/23/19 I went in to buy a gallon of SSHL50-0-341 aka Swiss Coffee semi gloss. I went in without being acknowledged by a sales person, cashier and a paint mixer. I looked by myself for the paint and I I had the product number. When I couldn't find it I waited and waited. I finally just held up my phone with a picture of what I wanted. I was invisible and another customer (3 of us in the store in total) was also ignored. I told one of the customers I was invisible and walked out. What a waste of time. In the process of looking for paint for my 4000 sqft home. Wanted to ask to have an idea of what color was similar to my swatch but Dan Powers had a very generic reply. Said, "I dunno man, could pretty much be any color on the palette". Really? Why don't you just tell me it's a self service store. I guess Dunn Edwards hires anyone regardless of experience. I walked into the store and straight to the counter two men standing there. It was like I was invisible.phone rang man on left two two phone calls and still I was invisible. Thought that I would check the paint my self nope it wasn't there. Went straight back to the counter I said I just have one question heavy set Mexican man didn't look up said you'll have to wait fix your mask. Really my question would have only needed a yes or no. Not a chance. So I waited until he showed a man around the store etc. came back rang rang him up and then still ignored me.
