Went here last night! It was $10 per person to get in. I was surprised because I thought we were going to a restaurant so it didn't make sense to me! I arrived at 9:30pm. I actually joined a group but apparently they were done eating and just ordering more drinks. 20mins passed before my partner walked to the kitchen. We literally kept flagging staff down to order. When the waitress did come she explained that she thought we been here with the group. We had spoke to two other people looking for our waitress.. I said to her that no one checked on the table since i arrived! I placed my appetizer, drink & both my partner & I entrée with her. Almost 30 minutes later, everything came out in togo boxes! I was totally confused because I did not ask for anything to be to go... The food was good, but I had to docker up the salmon burger & his Angus burger because they did not include the toppings on the burger as the menu said. The chicken bites appetizer was really small and is definitely not meant to be shared. The DJ was great. It was DJ base, but the staff and the service was really slow. then there is no Dancefloor so for them to be treating the place like a club is weird. The place was so full with people that it was a bit uncomfortable. you could barely walk or dance.

I went here expecting food, but the kitchen closes earlier than expected. This place is definitely hopping and busy. There was a large Birthday party and people wall to wall. I'm not a real club type guy, but it was something different. Overall, drinks were good and friendly crowd.

Remy Martin XO and me...make it a double please

The food and service is good but the music is far to loud. I don't understand why the level is so high.

Is there an age requirement or dress code?

The dress is business casual. After 9 on weekends, you have to be 25 to get in and there is a minimal cover charge.

What's the cover charge? Is the place small or decent?

It's free before 10pm and it's a nice size spot?

For our appetizer we ordered Firecracker shrimp, Fried green tomatoes, and Sweet potato muffins. We also had the complimentary corn bread. The appetizers and sweet potatoes muffins were delicious. The cornbread was dense and okay. For our main course we ordered turkey chops, and they came with two sides. We chose mac and cheese and red beans and rice. The turkey chops were ok but the sides were trash. The red beans and rice were (see picture) dry and the macaroni and cheese (see pictures) as well. The mac and cheese was cheeseless. We also ordered the catfish dinner with okra and yams. The yams were delicious and the okra was okay. The catfish skin was dark like old oil was used. It appeared to be cornmeal fried and hard. I should have specified how I wanted them. We also order the waffle and the chickens and there were no complaints. Honestly, we've been to Cornbread many times. Previously, I've always given 5 stars and haven't ever had any complaints but something drastically changed. The drinks as well didn't taste the same and we were told that the bartender was new. We didn't want to complain or send our food back due to our past experiences at other restaurants but we did take pictures. The service was great. But honestly, I do not believe that we will ever return.

After seeing Blvd all over social media, I finally decided to check it out for myself. Their…read moreoverall theme is "Brunch, Lunch Vibes & Dinner," and the place seems to lean into being an all-day social hub. They host sports watch parties, karaoke, game nights, live music, DJs--basically something for every grown-folk crowd depending on the night. A friend and I stopped in on a Thursday after work for drinks and a quick meal, and there were quite a few things I appreciated about the visit. The first thing I noticed was the expanded space. They've taken over two storefronts in the strip mall and opened up the dividing wall, creating a much larger restaurant. There's ample seating, a private room, and enough room for larger events to happen without interrupting the regular dining flow. It's clearly set up to handle a lively crowd. The evening menu offers a good variety of options, along with a couple of clever specials. There's Vibe Hour from 4-7 pm with $7 happy hour items, and a Twilight Hour after 9 pm with $12 specials. I thought that was a smart, customer-friendly way to keep the energy going throughout the evening. Another interesting feature is their "drink exchange" menu, where prices fluctuate like a stock market. When the "market" drops, drinks are cheaper--and when it rises, the price goes up. I'm not sure what drives the fluctuation, but it's definitely a fun concept. For food, I ordered the chicken cobb salad and fried mushrooms. The mushrooms were solid, and the salad was actually delicious. They had run out of their regular lettuce and substituted spring mix--and honestly, that upgrade worked. From now on, I might start ordering my cobb salads that way on purpose. We also had Peach Bliss martinis from the happy hour menu, and they were very tasty. During the visit, we chatted with one of the owners, who was very personable, accommodating, and clearly focused on making sure guests had a good experience. He even showed us the additional space and mentioned that it's available for private event rentals. The bartender and waitstaff were friendly and attentive as well. Overall, I can easily see this being a regular after-work happy hour spot. It's close to my home, the prices were great, and the vibe felt easygoing. I'm definitely planning to go back--especially to check out brunch and their Twilight menu margarita madness. Parking is available in the shared strip mall lot, and the location is easy to find right on Northwestern Highway in Southfield.

Went for dinner on 5/7/2026 with a friend. This is, apparently, after the place has been purchased by new owners. First of all, it took forever for the waitstaff to even come to the table and the place was not very busy. I ordered the spaghetti dinner with meat sauce and a greek salad to go with it. My friend, a thin crust pizza and cheese bread. When the salad and 'cheese bread' arrived, the first not positive change is that the cheese bread is no longer the soft bread. It is simply a regular crust pizza, minus the sauce, minus spices. So the focaccia bread with some cheese on it. And not even the good brick cheese that Buddy's used to use -- it's the cheap cheap blend purchased at Restaurant Depot. Mostly tasteless, greasy and a bizarre texture. That cheap product cheese is full of fillers and other things so it's technically a "cheese product" not actual cheese. Tastes gross and has a terrible texture. My salad was delivered with a tiny container of their dressing and I was advised it was "extra" dressing. However there was NO dressing on the salad at all and the container had barely a tablespoon of dressing. Greek salad was also VERY light on cheese, less than 1/2 what should have been there. My 'spaghetti' was delivered by another staff member -- only it was MOSTACCIOLI not spaghetti. I advised the wait staff it was not spaghetti and they told me it was and they walked away. Finally, the waiter came and I advised him the delivery staff person told me it was spaghetti and he said it was not. He took it away and brought baked spaghetti. Well at least it was spaghetti this time. Now for the not so good part. First of all, the bottom 1/3 of the spaghetti was drowning in this brown-ish muddy liquid. NOT spaghetti sauce. We literally had to drain it off on a plate, and the waiter looked at it and said "oh I'll 'tell the kitchen'". They did nothing after that. The "meat sauce" was anything but sauce. It was just chunks of some unknown very fatty meat mixed in with the spaghetti. The spaghetti was tasteless and overcooked. It was mushy as in VERY mushy. I tried to make the best of it and asked for some marinara sauce. I mixed it in and ate it and tried to avoid the fatty mystery meat in the spaghetti. Well, I am unhappy to report that I have been up since 2:00 a.m. with FOOD POISONING. It's 9 a.m. now and I feel like garbage and have made the bathroom my every 30 minute stop. How do I know it's from the Buddy's food? Because I brought home leftovers for my girlfriend and she ate the same mystery meat spaghetti and is sick too. Obviously the quality of this restaurant has gone to ZERO as far as service and most importantly, FOOD. I would HIGHLY recommend you AVOID Buddy's. While it may have a reputation, reputation doesn't prevent food poisoning, terrible food and bad service. Update -- 05/10/2026 . Well ONLY three days and I'm finally starting to feel better. Well, I suppose if you want to go on a crash diet and output food as fast as you can input it for three days, then eating here is good. Probably not smart for people with weakened or depressed immuno function. Oh and the really not-so-amusing part: I received a call from the Regional (or District) Manager from Buddy's. Who apologized for me being sick as a dog, and in the same breath said there were no problems at the restaurant and intimated it was ME who had the problem, not the restaurant. AND----- after telling him how sick I still was (on Friday) he said (paraphrasing a bit): "I'm so sorry" then offered me a gift coupon/credit to go EAT THERE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! Choking back the urge to vomit right there, I gave him my email and phone number AND THEY NEVER EVEN SENT THE CREDIT/COUPON Buddy's is OFF MY LIST permanently. If I want "Detroit-style" deep dish pizza, I'm headed to Loui's in Haze Park (started by the original chef of Buddy's).
