After seeing Blvd all over social media, I finally decided to check it out for myself. Their overall theme is "Brunch, Lunch Vibes & Dinner," and the place seems to lean into being an all-day social hub. They host sports watch parties, karaoke, game nights, live music, DJs--basically something for every grown-folk crowd depending on the night. A friend and I stopped in on a Thursday after work for drinks and a quick meal, and there were quite a few things I appreciated about the visit. The first thing I noticed was the expanded space. They've taken over two storefronts in the strip mall and opened up the dividing wall, creating a much larger restaurant. There's ample seating, a private room, and enough room for larger events to happen without interrupting the regular dining flow. It's clearly set up to handle a lively crowd. The evening menu offers a good variety of options, along with a couple of clever specials. There's Vibe Hour from 4-7 pm with $7 happy hour items, and a Twilight Hour after 9 pm with $12 specials. I thought that was a smart, customer-friendly way to keep the energy going throughout the evening. Another interesting feature is their "drink exchange" menu, where prices fluctuate like a stock market. When the "market" drops, drinks are cheaper--and when it rises, the price goes up. I'm not sure what drives the fluctuation, but it's definitely a fun concept. For food, I ordered the chicken cobb salad and fried mushrooms. The mushrooms were solid, and the salad was actually delicious. They had run out of their regular lettuce and substituted spring mix--and honestly, that upgrade worked. From now on, I might start ordering my cobb salads that way on purpose. We also had Peach Bliss martinis from the happy hour menu, and they were very tasty. During the visit, we chatted with one of the owners, who was very personable, accommodating, and clearly focused on making sure guests had a good experience. He even showed us the additional space and mentioned that it's available for private event rentals. The bartender and waitstaff were friendly and attentive as well. Overall, I can easily see this being a regular after-work happy hour spot. It's close to my home, the prices were great, and the vibe felt easygoing. I'm definitely planning to go back--especially to check out brunch and their Twilight menu margarita madness. BLVD in Southfield was an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious, everything was cooked to perfection, and my guests enjoyed their meals just as much as I did. The service was just okay. not the best I've had, but definitely not the worst. One thing to note is that gratuity is automatically included, no matter the party size, so keep that in mind. This spot was originally under a different name, and I previously had a terrible experience. However, whoever took over has completely transformed the place, and they did an incredible job. Stopped in with a big crowd and was able to be accommodated. That was just awesome! And we had an amazing server. I believe her name was Love. And if it was, she truly operated out of love. She was very pleasant and upbeat again despite a big crowd. I think we were a table of 16 or 17. Her service really made the experience. The food was just OK. I got the peach bliss martini for the seven dollars. I got the mango wings for seven dollars. You can't really beat their happy hour prices. Both the drinks and food was good. The martini was strong. The service was a bit slow. But the music and vibes was a good time. The waitress told me she had to literally go wash my knife and bring it to me because I don't know... my Cobb salad was amazing! My partner really enjoyed his fried fish and chicken quesadilla and he was extremely happy to get it at the seven dollar deal or two! Was in town with family and this establishment was next door to our hotel. Great vibes if you like loud music. There was a watch party going on as well. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. We were seated in about 5 minutes. Though our server was nice, she wasn't as attentive as expected. Notably, there were six of us and we were informed that everything had to be on one check, a policy that we didn't really care for. I ordered salmon bites and fried okra, which were delicious. One of my sisters ordered catfish nuggets and fries and my other sister ordered the catfish dinner, which was good as well. The rest of the table (my cousins) ordered wings (served whole). I generally like BLVD. However today...I got the salmon sandwich for lunch and it tasted like a salt lick. The online menu described it as ginger glazed salmon, grilled onions, and ginger aioli. Sounds good, right?? My sandwich had cheese, no grilled onions, and if there was a ginger aioli the salt overpowered it. Too far away to go back so it's $18 down the drain. Came here thinking I'm walking into D'Bos. WRONG! I didn't know until I got the menu, and it had me wondering where I actually was lol So there's two menus. One for drinks, and one for food. I completely forgot to take a photo of those. I asked my waiter to confirm and she explained to me how less than a month ago, the name and menu of this restaurant has now changed. I still decided to order since the daiquiri machines were still up and running. Of course I ordered a daiquiri. I also got the lamb sliders ($14) and the salmon bites ($15). The salmon bites came out in like 30mins and were hot, delicious, and seasoned well. Not to mention lightly breaded which is perfect! My sliders came out 20 mins later and were fresh and delicious! Loved the mocktail "In Traffic" Try this place out on Wednesdays 8-11 for a great time with the band that plays funk, r&b, hip hop, soul and anything else they feel like having fun with. We started with our appetizers ofCatfish Nuggets and the Soul Roll both were delicious and the sauce was OMG smack yo momma good! BLVD was a wonderful experience!! I celebrated my birthday there last night with friends, and everything from start to finish was perfect. The food was delicious, and the music truly set the vibe for the evening. I absolutely loved the live band and the singer--please keep that same energy going throughout the summer! The atmosphere was just right. The crowd was mature, fun, and respectful--I felt completely safe and relaxed the entire night. There was no tension or drama, just good vibes all around. It was the kind of "grown and sexy" crowd that makes you want to come back again and again (lol). PLEASE continue to keep Wednesday nights that way! Cass Tech Class of 1978 had a 65th birthday celebration at BLVD on 11/20/2025. A huge thank you to the management and the wait staff who were phenomenal. We were fortunate enough to have Love, a member of their wait staff team who was attentive to approximately 50 people. Upon our arrival, Love introduced herself and notified us she would be our wait staff for the evening. She was polite, personable, and very aware of the needs of everyone in attendance. This restaurant was "rebranded" about a month ago from D'Bo's to BLVD. Nothing has changed but the menu, which is a good and bad thing. Food was still tasty and the live music was still great, but unfortunately the service is still terrible. For a party of 5, everyone's food came out at different times. When asking for silverware we were brought the cheapest flatware I've ever seen.....1/2 step above plastic ware. I mention this because the food is not cheap. For a party of 5, where only 4 of us had 1 alcoholic drink each, our bill was $400! After paying the mandatory 20% gratuity for sub par service, I felt like I should have eaten at a fine dining establishment, which this is not. Hopefully with the "rebranding" management will work to improve customer service and value. read more

This review is based our customer service experience. We left after 40 min of not being serviced. We had a reservation at Noon, we checked in and were seated immediately. Check. After 20 min we notified the person that checked us in. She approached a waitress,(Sydney) who told her that she double seated her section. Huh? So did she intentionally ignore us to send a message to the hostess to don't double seat her section? Bad customer service. After a few minutes she brought us water and took our drink order. Again we waited 10 minutes. In the meantime, tables around us were being seated and serviced. At that point, I told my husband let's go. I politely shared feedback with the hostess to make her aware of our experience. This restaurant charges a mandatory 20% gratuity on all checks. In my opinion, gratuities are earned not imposed. Even if we had stayed then I wouldn't have wanted to give a top tier gratuity based on our level of service. Management: investing in training your employees to give top tier customer service could be beneficial to your establishment. You didn't miss on just one customer, you missed on that customer's community of friends, families and business associates. Level-up and invest in customer service training for your employees. After 20 mins our waitress came and took our order; pancakes with bacon and spicy potatoes and an order of biscuits and gravy and home fries. After another 20 minutes our food started showing up a plate at a time. Each time they warned us the plates were hot. Well that's because they microwaved the food. My biscuits and gravy were room temp and my friend's pancakes were thin and cold. The bacon was a little overdone but it was still good. The potato dishes were both cold. The plates however were hot. The service is horrible. Had to request water as we had been sitting for at least 10 minutes. January 18, 2025, It was MLK weekend and My birthday. An event in the back room was more important than the customers in the front. The ambiance was messed up as the music being played thru the tablet kept cutting off. The food was ok, the grits are peppered up. Grits should not be automatically seasoned. No condiments on the tables. Water on the floor near the bar from the leaking ceiling. 20% Gratuity is autonatically added in no matter how many are in your party.
