Finally we found Duomo Pizza and ordered a 11" custom pizza and 2 bottle of beers. They made our pizza in front of our eyes. When we took first bite, surprise and surprise. By far the best pizza in the corona/te mescal valley area. Great prices and the quality is second to none. The staff there is very accommodating and the decor inside is mixed with a modern and industrial feel. Clearly a winner at dos Lagos and a must visit spot. I had my first Duomo Pizza and it was delicious. It was topped with fresh meats and veggies. The crust was neapolitan just like in Italy. The proprietor was very friendly and accommodating. It's in a great location next door to the movie theater. This combination makes for a terrific date night. I often frequent Pieology, however this beats them for quality and taste. Came here for a little date night dinner with my wife. She is unofficially a pizza expert. We got a design your own pizza with their spicy sauce. Or was delicious. We arrived at 7:45pm, 15 minutes before closing and the owner was very accommodating and very friendly as he catered to us until we finished our meal around 820pm. I have appreciated and supported this business in the past but after what I witnessed tonight I will never be returning to this establishment again. So my girlfriend and I enter Duomo Pizza and at first things are going great. We are handed menus for a To Go order, however I notice that several employees are improperly wearing masks under their noses, including the owner whose wearing a clear mouth shield that barely covers the parameters of his lips. I shrug it off initially thinking these people weren't going to be the ones handling my food and then I place my order. Shortly afterwards a family that I assume are regulars walk into the place and are completely maskless, instead of politely asking them to follow county health and safety regulations and put on a mask they embrace the couple with hugs that would normally be a nice sight but we are in the middle of a pandemic with a significant amount of new cases and no signs of stopping. My girlfriend and I wait outside in discomfort and I'm still willing to eat the damn pizza but then I see the gentleman who IS HANDLING MY FOOD NOT WEARING A MASK OR GLOVES AS HE PREPARES THE DOUGH. He had already finished the dough for my girlfriend's pizza and the lady who had just embraced the maskless couple while wearing an exposed face shield starts throwing on toppings. I was done at that point. I asked to cancel my order and the maskless guy handling my food quickly threw on a mask and ran in the back and after having to ask I was given a refund. I'm sorry I know it's an inconvenience to wear these things (I have to wear one ten hours a day). I know 2020 sucks and we're all craving normalcy, but you as a food orientated business cannot potentially endanger your customers and completely disregard their safety in such an embarrassing way. read more

Ok, I thought that my first experience here was gonna be hum drum; just another flash-in-the pan restaurant located in an overpriced fancy mall space but WOW, I was impressed. The price (or total for our lunch) was very reasonable but that's just the first of many subtle cues that this place is not typical. The pizza we shared for only $10 had meats and 3 personally selected veggie toppings. There was plenty leftover to take home because we also split a very freshly cut Italian salad. So noticeably fresh and zesty we really smashed into it. When the pizza arrived to our table all I could say is that it was so perfectly assembled and loaded with toppings I was truly awed first by it's beauty and then struck by the flavors. I'm sorry that I didn't take a photo for you but I was vastly more interested in the visual and olfactory experience than I my desire to share the moment. I will return for another go-round soon because my experience at Duomo is exactly what I love and respect when visiting a locally-run, non-franchised restaurant. If the owner is reading this: I would suggest adding a written menu for wine selections, ya know, by the glass or bottle, with prices, whatever. If I get the same level of personal satisfaction and great service on visit #2 you will get a second review with five stars, for sure. Thank you for the kick-ass pizza!
