While visiting family in Corona, I ordered delivery from Dalia's. The food was just "ok". I was eager to try their pizza. The reviews were good and it said; "family owned restaurant". Price was a bit high, my husband had the marguerite pizza w/extra basil. The only "extra" he received was cheese that he didn't order. My pizza was cold and had burned toppings. (Especially after all of the extra fees, I expected it to be correct and at least warm)! My grandfather had the pepperoni and said his pizza was delicious! I have not eaten anything off their regular menu but I ordered off their Catering Menu for a large group (20 people). Their trays are Huge and reasonably priced. Everyone loved the food. Stopped in for a quick bite. Take out only, or eat in your car as I did. My italian sub was ok. They did ask if i wanted everything and I said, "yes". I didn't know it would be slathered with mayo and yellow mustard. To me, and Italian sub is made with Italian dressing. Location: The storefront is tucked back in the North West corner of the complex at the corner of Rimpau & Magnolia Ave there is a Sizzler and McDonalds in the complex. This was my first time trying them and I was ordering for our Super-bowl meal! I called the order in the day prior not knowing how busy they would be on Sunday. The location does not have any seating that I could see so it's takeout only. They had my order all ready for my scheduled pickup time and it was hot and they were just packaging up my wings! Food: I ordered buffalo chicken wings, sausage & mushroom calzone, 10" Ham and cheese (xtra cheese), brownie and a piece of pecan pie. The calzone was very good I personally would like it a bit more crusty on the outside and cooked more on the inside it was slightly doughy. I will ask for that next time. The wings had a great buffalo sauce, it was not to spicy (I am wimpy on hot sauce) but had a gentle kick. I am a carnivore and would have liked to have more drumettes out of the 8 wings there were 2 drumettes. The dipping was very good rich and flavorful. The pizza my wife said it was the best she has has! I would like a little more ham there were thinly sliced pieces. They had lots of extra cheese and it was cooked just fine with a crunchy crust. The desserts I was surprised that they were prepackaged I was kind of expecting fresh ones. However to my surprise the pecan pie from Sara Lee was amazingly delicious! I was searching for good baked ziti in the area. I heard other places have meat in their baked ziti, undercooked, flavorless, or watery. So I decided to try Dalia's since they had no complaints. And it was pretty much exactly what I wanted! They make their baked ziti with a lot of ricotta cheese. It's a good portion size for 1 person. I was able to save half for later. It also comes with a side salad and garlic bread. It's such a good deal! It was cooked just right and tastes just as good as it looks! Now, I know where to go for my baked ziti. We are regulars at Dalia's. When we want pizza we go to Dalia's every time. The pizza here is just so damn good, nothing compares. The flavor, the quality and service is always excellent. Can't say I've ever been disappointed and we come here at least 2-3 times a month. So thankful this place is down the street from our house. We always order the Dalia's Supreme pizza because we love how they add so much toppings and the crust is doughy and airy. But tonight it was not the same. I'm not sure what happened. The crust is like thin crust now. Bring back the dough! We were so disappointed at our pizza and hope tonight was just a flop and that they had a bad night. I placed an online order for pickup at the exact time they open. It was important to me that the food was ready so early in the morning, as it was the main reason I chose this restaurant in the first place. I was contacted via phone promptly at opening, regarding my food being ready 30 minutes after they opened. I expected this, but took a chance anyway. I am leaving a 4 star review to garner the business's attention to this fact, that a customer's food is unable to be ready right at opening, and their online order process should reflect that. Otherwise, 5 stars. Now that we've gotten that part cleared up, the food was delicious. The portions were ok; I finished a spaghetti-for-2meal, extra meatballs, and the pastrami sub in 1 sitting. I liked that the meatballs were in a foil container with sauce, rather than rolling around dry in Styrofoam. Good customer service. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and my wife ordered the lasanga. We were both pleasantly surprised. My sandwich was hotand topped off with peppers, onions, and mushrooms, and a bag of chips. At $11.99 I consider it a bargain compared to Jersey Mike which charges about $18 for an equivalent sandwich.
