I had an inflamed tendon on the bottom of my right foot from over-training. I was on prescription ibuprofen and crutches for a few weeks to allow it to heal after I had a personal best from a half-marathon. After a month, I could walk but still had pain when pressure was applied there. Kenny quickly figured out how to work on my foot because it was scar tissue that needed to be broken up and heal up again. After just three sessions, I'm back to running 10k with just a tad of discomfort and slowly building back up to my previous mileage. My blood draw indicated that I had hypothyroidism so my doctor recommended thyroid medication. However, I preferred to find an alternative method to correct it. My doctor agreed to wait one month and then have my blood drawn again to see if my thyroid was normal. Soon after. Let me just start with the fact that I have been suffering with Fibromyalgia for over 23 years now that seemed to be onset from a very long and difficult labor with my first child. I became permanently disabled from severe pain from it and tryed everything for all those years like change in diet, seeing many doctors for several other opinions and have had over 20 operations! With all the medications I was put on I gained a lot of weight and I think I got up to 238 at my highest weight. The doctors didnt want to find the real cause of it but just wanted to throw more medicine at me or perform more surgery! They performed lapband surgery on me and WOW I lost an amazing 7 pounds while starving on 1/4 cups of food 3 times a day! That was really worth evasive surgery huh? Finally I saw an add for a free dinner to go listen to Dr. John Duong. I figured what the heck do I have to lose. Everything he discused at the dinner made sense. I scheduled an appointment the next day with him and I signed up for the 3 month program with him even though I don't have the means financially to pay for it. I paid for it with my Care Credit because my gut was saying that this was going to finally work this time! I was going to finally get on the track to being healthy and well again and end this depression. I wanted my old self back! Full of the fun person I once was! Dr. John and his staff is fantastic. He has saved me lots of heart ache. I have psoriasis and it is pretty severe. My medical doctors have repeatedly given me more and more drugs. As Dr. John would say, " they are treating the symptoms and not the problem." They were giving medication to slow down my immune system and I could not do that to my body anymore. My mother seen Dr. John at a seminar and he spoke about how he can help people with psoriasis so she told me to check it out. I went to visit him and he gave me a great outlook of how he was going to finally treat the problem. I have been on a strict diet, taking natural supplements and doing moderate exercise. After a month and a half, I have lost 18 pounds and feel a lot better. More importantly, my psoriasis has been clearing up. "Dr." Duong is a QUACK doctor in every sense of the word. I have been to Dr. Duong in the past, not anytime recent and for good reason. The last time i went in for a stiff neck, i left in more pain than when i arrived and the entire time was spent on Dr. Duong: a) up-selling me on treatments that i "NEEDED" b) lecturing me on everything I'm doing wrong He doesn't care for his patients at all -- his focus is truly on how much money he can squeeze out of you. There are so many more reputable chiropractors out there that there is no reason to even consider making a visit to dr. duong. The office staff are nice but it's clear he rules with an iron fist and in it for the money and nothing more. Take my advice (and the advice of ALL the other reviewers here), do not go to Dr. Duong. He is EXACTLY the type of doctor who will create more problems for your neck/back just to ensure that you keep going back to him for 'treatment.' read more

AVOID!! I went to an information session entitled "lose weight forever". Dr John Duong is an excellent speaker....very good sales person. Very nice as well as his office help....one of which is his 8 year old son. Cute...but really?? I felt like I was in a network marketing sales pitch. You heard all the wonder and glory of all the wonderful things that will happen for you if you are "chosen" to be treated by him. "everyone will want this, but no everyone will be accepted by him as a patient." That's the 'ol show it to them then take it away from them....they will beg for it. People continue to ask questions regarding the cost. I got a "deal" from groupon for $87.00 up front cost just to hear him speak. You are told the whole time...don't worry, it is very affordable. I realize that's relative..but wait. So the next visit which is amazingly (sarcasm) covered by the original $87.00 you are again told how wonderful he is that he is not there for the money, but simply wants to help everyone get healthy. BUT...you'll need to pay $250.00 to get blood tests to find out why you're fat. Again I ask....total cost! Again...no worries, you can afford this. People on Social Security can afford this. So I'm thinking OK it can't be that expensive. So I come back after blood test results. He tells me all this stuff wrong with me based on my blood tests. Then he brings out the cost worksheet. So in order to fix me it will cost $7000.00 BUT.....because he wants to help me it will only cost me $4000.00 (such a deal). If I pay cash he could give me a better deal $3000.00!!! If you read the newspaper, you will see he is quite the miracle worker. He has other network marketing type workshops to cure your thyroid, diabetes, neuropathy and probably everything. Although he is a chiropractor I never see anything about that??? There is one ad he puts in the newspaper with a woman that looks to be about 80 or so. It is SO OBVIOUS that it is photo shopped. I think this man thinks everyone but him is stupid. I don't ever believe he is in this to help people. AVOID AVOID AVOID! Especially if you've never been to a chiropractor before or are having neck/back pain for the first time! I don't even know where to start with this review, because my experience with this office was THAT bad. In short, basically Dr. Duong tried to scare me into having treatment with him. He quoted me almost $4000 for 20 sessions, but would offer a "20% discount" if I prepaid for all 20 sessions. First off, how do you know that I'll need 20 sessions to "fix" my problem? And what if i end up hating the sessions or it doesn't work? Then I'm pretty much out several thousand dollars no? Other things that bothered me: - he wouldn't give me a diagnosis - he never told me what he thought was the cause of my pain, so I made an appointment to see my primary care physician the next day. A combination of stretching, yoga, and pilates has put me back to almost 100%. - he tried to start treatment then and there during the initial consultation. I was like wait a minute, I'm going to get a second opinion! I didn't like the combination of scare tactics + rushing me into treatment. - he's not a MD, but I think it's worthy to note that he had horrible bedside manner. I don't care how good he is at what he does, but he's not someone I would feel comfortable seeking treatment from. - he didn't seem very willing to work with my health insurance provider and wanted me to pay out of pocket and circumvent the insurance process, which just seemed shady to me. - as part of the treatment package, he wanted me to buy a traction for $150 so I could do exercises after I'm adjusted. I did some research online and a similar device sold for $70-80. Also, there are some simple exercises you can do without shelling out $70-150 that help alleviate neck pain. The next day I went to see a family doctor who diagnosed my pain as being muscular/stress and work ergonomics-related and recommended swimming, muscle relaxers (which I didn't take), and an anti-inflammatory (I took one Advil and it did the trick). I am SO GLAD I didn't give into the scare tactics at the time when I was in pain and vulnerable. You should be ashamed of yourself, Dr. Duong!!! read more

The are 2 chiropractors there, I think they are brothers. I went there for the laser libo treatment that I got from groupon. It was very easy to make an appointment, and no problem redeeming the groupon. The receptionist was very friendly. Unlike the other two reviewers, I was never pushed for additional treatment. I was involved in a car accident back in September and injured my wrist and some minor back pain. After several weeks of non-treatment, I was still experiencing problems and felt as if my wrist was not healing properly so I went to Duong Chiropractic in Dublin. The doctors were very nice and helpful. I thought my treatment plan was a bit lengthy (twice a week for 4 weeks, then once a week for 4 weeks), but I believe the doctors wanted to make sure that it was healing properly and to prevent flare up. Every visit was pleasant and usually several patients were receiving various treatments at the same time, most of which were older who told me that they were unable to walk up the stairs just the week before. My wrist feels much like it did before the accident now, so overall it was worth it. read more

My family has seen Dr John, Kenny and Benny Duong for the past few years. My husband and my 2 kids were in an auto car accident. The car was totalled. They went to see Dr Duong. Dr John Duong checked that my husband was OK and said he need not come back. He found that my 2 kids had trouble turning their neck to certain positions even though they did not compalin any pain at all. After 3-4 treatment sessions, they regained their flexibility and were happily discharged. I went with my kids ( they were in elementary school) for every treatment session, and the 3 brothers took turns to treat my 2 kids, They were friendly and my kids felt comfortable receiving the treatment. The home exercises that they taught my kids were very helpful. Few years later, one of my kid fell and hit at the back of her neck. Her neck was passively flexed anbd resulted in memory loss and pain. I brought her back to Dr Duong. He treated her again and worked on freeing up the tightness and improving the circulation around that area. Her memory improved a lot after the treatment. She grades in school was back to normal after a course of treatment. I was very happy with the result. In July this year, I went to see Dr Duong for neck pain. He spent much time explaining the cause of my pain due to poor work posture. I benefited a lot from his advice. I recommend these 3 brothers for their detailed exam, sincere attitude to clients, inspiring advice and great effort to make clients feel better. I've read several reviews blasting Dr. Duong. I have what my medical doctors called bone on bone arthritis and was headed towards knee replacement surgery. I saw his ad in the paper and for a few dollars I thought it was worth checking out. Yes, he's not cheap, but now after about 8 treatments, I no longer have nearly as much knee discomfort, I no longer limp, and I sleep better with no pain. I don't know if this will be a permenant solution, but for now, if I can put off knee replacement, the relief outweights the cost. As for the critic who was afraid to start the $4,000 treatment, I'm told that I can quit at any time and receive a refund for all unused appointments. Sure, he may not be cheap, but what is it worth to you, to not be laid up for weeks or months because of surgery? read more

Maybe I missed something when I came in to see him other then I was so forced to pay up front by credit card Before they would let me make my appointment. After my first visit I knew why they wanted to get paid upfront. Never went back. The cost is enormous and has to be paid upfront. No guarantees. I would be cautious and realize that anytime you have to pay upfront before you make an appointment is not always a good thing. First of all, I am a return visitor. I got two auto accidents this year. Both treated here in this office. I would point out that there are three doctors here. They have been very friendly and professional. This is a very well established business with very honest people. I don't doubt their skill because I got multiple referrals from my mom and my friends. I don't doubt their credentials because my insurance AAA had no problem accepting their charges. I would say if someone's insurance is not so good, please switch insurance. Please don't judge the service when you haven't even tried one session. It is like saying the food is good or bad without taking one bite. I would give special thanks to Doctor Ken that spent extra times going through paper work with my employer for my short-term disability claim. I got it approved from the state quickly. My company's claim center is located in Texas, so the fax and phone calls almost got me given up to their useless process. Helen, who works at the front desk, helped me fax over documents over 5 times! That is above and beyond. I finally got it approved at my work and avoided a dark spot on my record in the company. And remember, I went through this headache TWICE. I do understand why they offer people discount when they pay cash out of their own pocket. It is less paperwork time. We all know time is money. Doctor Ken is serious about his job. He doesn't smile a lot, but hey, I was facing down most of the time for him to work on the neck and back. Doctor John is the nice and friendly guy that always smiles when talking to patients, not just me but everyone else visiting the office.
