The office was easy to find and had a calm atmosphere when I walked in. The receptionist was polite and helped me fill out the paperwork without making it a hassle. I didn't have to sit too long before being taken back to the exam room. The medical assistant was friendly, took some basic health info, and made sure I was comfortable while I waited. The doctor came in not long after and was respectful, asking questions without making me feel rushed. They listened closely to what I had to say and asked follow up questions that made me feel like they were paying attention. They explained things in a clear way, not using too much medical jargon, and went over some next steps for me to take moving forward. Very unethical practices and no empathy for individuals. They easily charge fines for anything and everything without due notice. It is our hard-earned money by working very hard. The only reason why we approached them is to save some money. But it has went the other way round. I had severe neck and back pain and the Dr made it even worse by massaging in wrong places. They also sold me unnecessary herbal supplements which were very expensive. I went here with severe injuries. Dr Yin and dr Shae, did not request an MRI, but she requested an x-ray? And her full one star treatment. I been severely injured, since my accident, I was even charged when I was late to my visits because of my injuries. Finally when I did my MRI at another DR. I found Nerve root contact, Disc protrusion. And the list goes on. I been having severe swelling in my lower back since. This place told me, nothing is wrong with me and told me to find another DR and said. I am not so injured, I am now using a cane to help, walk around, pain gets severe, swelling, pinching. Even throbbing and burning in my lower back. I need to take prednisone for swelling to go down, and DR yin told me nothing is wrong with me. I'm so glad I found a real doctor, that is helping me. My dad and I have been going to Dr. Yin for almost two years now. Because I'm a swimmer, my shoulders tend to get achy and tight due to overuse. Every time I come here, Dr. Yin is very attentive to my concerns and she keeps a good memory of your progress. My favorite part would have to be the 15 minutes in the end on the giant massage chair that they let you use after every visit! I've been a loyal client to Theresa Yin for several years now and have recommended several co workers and friends there. I felt like her adjusts were quick and short, but right to the fixing. This review is about her business and it's core values. First, she has gone through a lot of massage therapists and many have mentioned Dr. Yin is not a pleasant person to work for. I've seen many great therapists leave and have considered every time leaving with them, but Dr. Yin accepts my insurance so I stayed. About 2 weeks ago I had an appt at what I thought was 1:15. I showed up and they told me I missed my appt at 11:15. Obvious miscommunication right? I've never missed one before, in fact I'm always early, AND I usually am on their call if openings come up list so I can even backfill cancellations for them. The receptionist told me i had to pay a missed appointment fee of $30. And when I questioned it, she said it was my word against the receptionist who booked it. This didn't make me feel good as a loyal customer. I came back 2 weeks later and kept to my husband's 2 appts, mine and my son's (initial visit), and I agreed to pay for services I received but not the missed appt because I still wanted to talk to Dr Yin about that. a different receptionist told me there wasn't anything I could say to her to change the decision and that it was policy. I said yes- totally understand for a missed appt, but clearly I didn't miss it as I showed up at 1:15! I told her I didn't feel good about the way I was being treated and for me if their business is based solely on money and not trust and relationships with their clients, then fine. I'm going somewhere else. There are some wonderful chiropractors out there that I've found and interviewed since leaving the office earlier today. With very reasonable prices too. So I plan to actually pay out of pocket to receive better and personable care than continue to come here. I will not be returning to Dr Yin's office. There are some serious core values that don't jive with me and the office frankly feels like they don't care about clients (except dr shay) at all. COVID UPDATE- they charge $5 if you want to use the tens machine (the sticky pads). Dr Yin is taking on most clients and therefore has reduced Dr Shay's availability. Varushka- the amazing office manager that used to be there is no longer there. She probably was what kept all clients coming... so sad she's gone. read more

I am always a Yelp reader, not a reviewer. But this one I must! I have been seeing Dr Yin for years! I have a very active lifestyle but a clumsy body. The most she treated me for were actually my knees and shoulders because I ski and golf! My most recent visit prompted me to write this review.... I have had shoulder pain for a couple of years due to repetitive ski crashes ( yeah, clumsy). It's gotten to a point that my range of motion limited many activities. I visited an Orthopedic surgeon. Since I can still move my arm, he recommended physical therapy first. I went to the PT office he recommended, and after three sessions, my shoulder got even worse! I went back to my Ortho requesting an MRI. He ordered one. After the result, he message me and said something like "your shoulder looks good, no surgery required, are you still in pain?" ??!! I forwarded the MRI report to Dr Yin when I went to see her. She gave me a much more succinct analysis and demonstrated why my shoulder hurts the way it is. She worked on it and my range of motion was instantly better. AND, I know what to do to improve and avoid further aggregating my shoulder! There are chiropractors, and then there are CHIROPRACTORS. Next opening for a new patient Mon, Sept 17, 2012??!!! You cannot be serious, the date was Aug 31 and my back is in serious need. Even after communicating that I was in serious pain the receptionist offered no accommodation or referral. I have never heard of such a system for new patients! Clearly new patients are not a priority...not based on this appointment system. No thanks. ***Update: Dr Wong, while I appreciate your explanation it is essentially a lengthy rationalization for a system that does not work for prospective patients in crisis. As an aside, I find it interesting that you describe individuals like myself as "non-existing" vs potential or prospective patients. Any way your cut it, scheduling out prospective new patients who are in crisis seventeen (17) days out is utterly unacceptable. How can you expect that patients would find that acceptable, even if you account for a week or so of vacation. To answer your question, yes in fact I was able to locate a 5 star chiropractor the following day who fit me into their schedule upon learning how much pain I was in. As well, they were prepared to refer me to a nearby chiropractor who they trusted if they could not see within a reasonable amount of time. With that said, instead of rationalizing an unacceptable practice perhaps you might consider how to better accommodate potential new patients who are in great pain, they do "exist". read more

I was in a recent car accident and dreadfully looking for someone to help me with my neck problem. I was really hesitant to just go to a chiropractor that I would find through Yelp since its always hard to find professional service until someone really experience the service. Thankfully, one of my friend had an accident a while back and I called her up to give me some recommendation. After chatting with my friend, she had mentioned about this place. I phoned this place a couple days after my accident. I explained my situation and they were able to set-up an appointment for me right away. Dr. Wong had remedied my aching neck after a few sessions. I had experience bad headache after the accident and I did not know that it correlates to my neck pain. She went through with me what symptoms I have had experience and it did not come to my mind about the nuisance headache that would come and go. I went to Teresa a few months ago because my back was bothering me and didn't go away after 2 weeks. She was my first chiropractor experience. I busted my back....putting away an empty barbell after doing deadlifts. Not during, but I felt a weird twinge when I was about to put the bar away. Womp womp. Anyway, I was referred to Teresa from one of her current patients and they were able to squeeze me in within a few days. The receptionist, Brandy, was very friendly and helpful when setting up an appointment/explaining everything in preparation for the initial exam. After going through paperwork Teresa got to work on my back--immediately after the session I felt a lot better. I got the green light for my back in less visits than originally anticipated, which is always great. I actually had a neck+shoulder problem I never thought about and she addressed that as well (crack...all the things!). She gave me a referral to a specialty pillow/mattress place that was doing a liquidation sale to check out for the latter issue. Overall, my experience here was great. She actually doesn't take my insurance, but I've heard that bad chiropractors may aggravate and cause more damage so as a precaution went with someone that was highly recommended by a friend. Dr. Yin really know's what she's doing and leads you through everything and always informs you of your condition so you understand your body and the different stages of the healing process. After an acute upper back and neck spasm, I had months of pain that kept morphing, moving, and increasing to the point where it interfered with my life and kept me fairly miserable. I finally decided that I didn't want to spend the rest of my life in pain and would try chiropractic care. The stellar reviews on Yelp didn't steer me wrong. I left that first appointment completely pain free and with full mobility (something I hadn't had in 5 months). She took her time and got to know me and listened carefully. I didn't feel at all rushed and felt like I was being respected. Since this was my first experience with chiropractic care, she explained everything to me and made me feel comfortable. I felt like an active participant in the process and that has continued throughout my treatment. After three months of treatment, I feel that I will not need to be under her care for too much longer. I say this with sadness - I feel close to the whole staff and look forward to my visits since the experience is always so positive.
