Dr. Joly is the real deal. I was hesitant on seeing another chiropractor because with my experience it hasn't been the best and I wasn't getting better. It's been a quick in and out adjust and on my way still experiencing lower back pain. That has changed since seeing Dr. Joly! Since seeing Dr. Joly it has been a game changer. I finally feel like I'm getting back to myself and able to do normal day to day activities that I was doing before my lower back pain. More context: My wife had an emergent back pain and we called Joly on a Thursday, was told by his assistant that it's his day off. The same story went for many other clinics we called. We were hopeless. However, to our surprise, doctor called us back within 2 mins, giving us free medical advices over the phone, and was willing to come into the office to treat my wife on his day off. Dr. Joly amazed me with how much he understood my pain. While he was checking my back he asked if I was fighting something because my lymph node were inflamed. I was shocked because my nose had been stuffy for two weeks and I couldn't understand why. He also touched on the fact that I have been having really bad cramps which surprised me and hopefully with a few more visits it will completely go away. He was able to feel the tightness in my feet and really work things out. While I was de-stressing with a cold compress on my back and a warm one on my chest, he turned off the lights put on one of those little stargazer things and had this little waterfall running while playing some beautiful music. I changed chiropractors to Dr. Joly recently, after looking for a closer chiropractor in Fremont. I had pain in my feet and achilles from some running injuries, which limited my range of motion and I had to be very careful with how I even walked. Not being able to exercise had a negative impact on the rest of my quality of life. Dr. Joly worked on my legs and feet during my first visit, and I could immediately feel a huge improvement in the range of motion in my feet and legs without feeling pain. The improvement has been sustained and I've been feeling a lot better just walking and jogging around. Hey, is there a maximum word count for Yelp reviews? Because I could go on and on about Dr. Joly and his staff. I just might be his biggest fan, and I;m doubtful that there is enough room here for me to explain how much he has helped me over the years. I came wandering into his office one day, probably about 6 or 7 years, ago, suffering severe back pain. While I won't go into specific detail about what was causing the pain, ( mostly because it will take away my room for raving about him, and not because I care about what anyone else thinks... ;) I will tell you that I wandered into his office that day feeling REALLY disappointed and totally helpless. My Aunt and I were just driving through the neighborhood, basically, after leaving an appointment with another Chiropractor, one that had seemed really informal, inconsiderate, and unhelpful. I saw his sign on the way home and decided to stop in and ask questions there, but had very little hope at that point of finding someone who could empathize with the pain I was encountering. Boy, was I wrong.... That was about 6, 7 years ago....and I am so happy that I did go in there that day. Simply put, Dr. Joly and his wonderful staff, including Lily, his wife, and his receptionist, Brenda, feel like nothing less than family to me. When I had first walked in there, I was a college student and wasn't making very much money, but I remember that he helped adjust my payments so that I could start healing quickly. Because of this, I'm telling you- Dr. Joly WANTS to see his clients get better and live an easier life. He has seen me through many rough times, including a car accident last summer that he helped me through, more than I can stress. He's seen me cry, taken my calls on weekends, (yes- even came into the office a couple times on a Saturday because I was having trouble breathing because of pressure on my rib cage) he's helped me with headaches, colds, lower back pain, upper back pain, and so much more. I cannot stress to you enough how great this man is. My father gets adjustments from him, as well, after long road trips driving here from Montana. He and I jokingly call Dr. Joly "The Holy Joly," because, let's face it....a man with the ability to help someone overcome that much pain, is definitely something good. I originally went through a series of adjustments because my brother told me to see Dr. Joly and that he could make my migraines disappear and my back feel better. I went to see what my brother was talking about -- and what a great move that was. I had 2 pinched nerves that Dr. Joly fixed and my migraines decreased significantly. I had no idea my neck was suppose to rotate 90 degrees to both sides and that it was only rotating 60 degrees to each side with the first initial visits. I was living in non-optimal conditions for 21 years of my life. I continue to see Dr. Joly every 2 weeks and I'm on the "well-care" program now, which is cheaper than the initial phase of care. I will continue to see Dr. Joly as long as his business is still running. During the course of these 10 years, Dr. Joly has also help me through 2 car accidents, and 2 hard roller skating falls. The car accidents gave me many migraines, a hurt back, and a very stiff neck. And the roller skating falls involved me landing on my tail bone so hard I was limping while walking. I was having severe back and leg pain for the past few weeks and it got to the point where I was having a hard time walking and sleeping. I thought for sure it was sciatica. Just recently finished a series of appts with Dr. Joly, I couldn't ask for anymore from a professional in his field. I came in for pain in my lower back and intense sciatica pain radiating from my rear down to my leg. Being a guy I was stubborn in seeing any doctor, so for about 2 weeks I was taking 800mg ibuprofen every 5 hours to take he edge off the pain. But I can feel the pain slowly coming back after the meds worth off. So Something as simple as just getting out of bed was getting more and more difficult. So upon recommendation from a close friend who had similar symptoms, I stopped by Dr Joly's office. On the morning of my grandmothers funeral my poor mother woke up with a horrible migraine like she was getting any time she had added stress or threw her neck out at work. I called my mothers old chiropractor and they were closed. It was a thursday. I wasn't aware that most chiropractor offices are closed thursdays. After some mom's suggesting him I went a couple of times but I got the worst back pain. Maybe it's just me but I couldn't go there anymore. I had mid back pain two years ago but now I don't have it. I went for leg and hip pain but the doctor says I still have pain and body got use to it and so I don't feel it and he adjusted mid back saying the leg muscles are connected. After that my mid back got worst and i would never recommend any friend to go there. Man. My back has taken a beating in life. From College football to just not taking care of it like I should. I think we all do this. So I try this place and after about 3 months of visits he has helped me to be in control of my back pain. My mid back is way better. I started seeing Dr. Joly over 6 years ago. I went in for back pain that i had been suffering with since i was 13. I know thats really young but i was a competitive soccer player and in my youth i thought i could play through all the pain, well it progressively got worse to the point that i had to stop playing all together by the time i got to college. I was so upset i had to give it up because there were days i couldnt even walk. Or at least i thought i had to give it, because thats what the "other" Dr.'s told me. It wasnt until my 3rd year of college that a friend of mine recommended i go see Dr. Joly. I was skeptical at first, i had heard all the stories about chiropractors and did not want to be stuck seeing someone every week for the rest of my life. Well let me tell you that this was not the case with Dr. Joly. He is the opposite of all of the horror stories ! he told me that my problem was not in fact with my lower back as i had suspected but with my hips. After a few months of intense work i was starting to immediately see the difference. I was able to run again for longer distances than i had ever been able to prior to working with him. Now i only go back to see him on an as needed basis, and i am happy to say that all that hard work in the beginning has paid off because my visits have decreased significantly, and he will be the first to tell you that his goal is to help heal you. He also provided me with stretches i can do on my own, and suggestions on how to decrease the likelihood of future injuries. He is extremely friendly, professional, and accommodating.
