I visited this place years ago and it is still $5 for 10 wines to taste or you can upgrade to $10 plus cracker and cheese dip to partner them with. Cool place to visit if you are around the area of touring a visitor because they can buy some souvenirs like shirts, etc. and get free wine glass. I personally like their selections. read more

Unrealistic seating times. Was told there was a 90 min wait at 5:30 pm when in reality the seating time was at 6pm. That's a big difference from 30 mins to 90 mins. Not sure if lack of training or customer service is to blame here but it's a issue. read more

We stopped in for a wine tasting. The gentleman was very knowledgeable about the wines and was from the winery in Rose Hill. The muscadine grape wines were delicious for us sweet wine lovers. The complimentary wineglass was a nice touch. The store was well organized and had a large variety of items in addition to the wine. This was a nice midday stop with a small group. The tour was very organized from start to finish by being greeted immediately by the host, signing up for a wine tasting, being given a pager when it was time for the tasting to begin to the detail and prompt service given by the wine expert. The cracker were not the greatest but the muscadine cheese dip was great. We ended the tour with a glass of wine of our choice on the patio, which had plenty of spacious seating. This winery was very helpful for me. I hadn't seen very many moms in a while, so it was good to see them all congregated here at the winery. There's something very comforting about being surrounded by a large group of moms in a place in which they find themselves comfortable. It's contagious for those around. I found myself feeling very at home here at the winery. In fact, I came with my very own mom but got lost among all the other moms present. What with all the alcohol being consumed and cheese dip being passed about the facilities, I lost track of my mom and opted for someone else's mom. Her name was Donna and she selflessly took me in as her own for the remainder of the afternoon. Anyway, I found my mom and she was elated to see I had made some friends of my own for once. The scuppernong and muscadine grapes really made us both lose every bit of wit we had about ourselves when we first arrived. Not a bad thing!! Really enjoyed my 43-year-old self. Went here for the tasting. The only reason this review if 4 stars instead of 5 is because we aren't fans of sweet wines and most of the wine they have is 6.2-11% sugar. The tasting itself was fun, and cheap at $5 for 12 wines. They are precise on the pours and the tasting groups are fairly large, like 15-20. Our tasting lead was very knowledgeable about the Duplin wines but not wine in general. The shop is fun for a tourist like me and watching the hand bottling was interesting. The covered patio outside is wonderful and Fridays they have live music from 430-730, which we didn't see but thought it would be fun. We had a nice time. read more

Such a great stop for both locals and tourists in the myrtle beach area! My mother and I came here on a rainy day- perfect indoor activity, and even if you wanted to sit outside they do have covered patios. My mom and I did a wine tasting- basic is $5 and the other option is $10, with both options you get to keep your wine tasting glass. Well worth opting for the $10 option in my opinion. You not only get to taste a bunch of wines, you also get a delicious cheese dip and a full glass of wine at the end- for an extra $5 how can you go wrong?! We were there for about an hour and a half, they have a lovely gift shop to walk around in with all sorts of things. The next time I'm in town with guests who are winenos like me, I will bring them here for a tasting! read more

Y'all, I don't even like muscadine wine and I give this place a 5/5 stars! Being real, if you don't like sweet wine and expect to like this wine, you'll have a 2/5 experience. If you don't like sweet wine, and you go in expecting to have a new experience, try some wines you may not otherwise try and enjoy the atmosphere, you'll have a 4/5 experience. If you love sweet wine, you'll have a 5/5 experience no questions!! For $10 you can do a deluxe tasting that includes this amazing dip and crackers, tastings for TEN wines, a glass of your favorite wine and you get to take home your glass! If you're lucky, you'll get to go inside a tasting room instead of sitting at the bar because it makes the experience great with all of the shop noise filtered out. Good mix of friendliness, info on the wines, history of the winery, and plenty to drink during the tasting. I'm not a big sweet wine person, but I enjoyed tasting a bunch of wines I wouldn't normally try. The best part is the end... the chocolatini is AWESOME!!! I got it as my "glass of wine" at the end because it was amazing! Definitely a fun experience even if you aren't a sweet wine person...but be real with yourself before going that if you don't like sweet wines, don't go expecting to love each wine, take it as its own experience to just sample wines you might not otherwise ever try. read more

Had a great experience at Duplin Winery! We did the 10 for $10 wine tasting, which also included a wine glass to keep, a full glass of wine following the tasting, and crackers and cheese dip. All of the staff were welcoming and friendly. There did seem to be more "rules" than at any winery I've ever gone to-no drinking out of someone else's glass, 3 glasses of wine maximum, and being unable to purchase a bottle of wine to drink there. I really enjoyed walking around the store-they have so many cute little things! The outside seating area was also set up very nice! read more

I recently relocated to Myrtle Beach from California. I wanted to try a winery in SC so I gave this place a shot. I was extremely disappointed. The staff was not Friendly at all!! I was ignored the entire time. I even had a lady flat out ignore me and help the people behind me. I wandered aimlessly for 20 min finally got a drink and then left. They had live music but the guy was getting all political. Definitely won't be returning or buying this product! Shame too its decent wine from what I got to try. read more

We had a good experience. They offer two price points for the wine tasting, $5 and $10. We opted for the $10 option. This included 10 tastes from a preset menu, jalapeno dip (not spicy), souvenir glass and a glass of wine after the tasting. There's some strange South Carolina law that states that you can't share your wine if you don't like the taste. So they tell you to either pour it out or drink it quickly and move on to the next tasting. But do not give it to whoever you came with. Seriously? The Taste portions are just that it's just a swallow. But we did end up buying some Christmas wines because they were $5 a bottle. Overall we had a good experience and would return. Oh yes, they also have a fudge bar or you can purchase homemade fudges and they have wine slushies. read more

The rules have been changed as of June 25, 2019. This is no longer a kid friendly place. I went in and the guy at the front desk told my group that kids could no longer do tastings. But if you want to do it you have to leave your kids at the front sitting alone. Ok we had a 4 and 10 year old. Really leaving them sitting alone. NO THANK YOU. This to is unsafe and how hard was it to just accommodate us. We had a group of 8-10 with kids. We have made it a tradition to go there every year while on vacation. The sad part is my daughter always asks to go. That's how much she enjoyed doing the tasting. Her heart was broken this year and we will never go again. So just a heads up. This is an adult only place now. So if you have kids don't stop there. They will want you to leave your children unattended. Shame on you!! read more

I liked the experience of the wine tasting. We chose the option with the cheese dip. We tasted 8 or 10 wines that were pre selected. All but two are muscadine wines which means they are all very sweet. They have a nice gift shop and the outside seating area was nice with live music. This establishment could earn 5 stars if it provided (even at an additional fee) a more personal wine tasting experience with one bartender dedicated to 4-8 people and the option to choose which wines to taste. I had a great time going to a tasting and enjoying the free glass of wine out on the porch. It's definitely a great way to switch things up on the beach for a few hours. My only gripe is the live music was way overpowering, especially for one guy and a guitar. If you're looking to sit with a glass of wine on the porch and have a conversation with friends, you better say what you need to in between songs or during the break.
