I sent owner Frankie a text about touching up the paint on the rims I got painted at Dura Glo over a year ago, and he completely ignored it. A month or two later I visited in person to speak with Frankie. I got an estimate on some damage to my quarter panel, and he actually beat all the other estimates. I looked forward to getting that repair done at Dura Glo. I asked about getting a reinforcement to a plastic cover part on my rear passenger car seat, and Frankie concluded it wasn't possible. And I asked about touching up the paint on my rims, and he examined my wheels, told me Saturdays would be best, he asked for my phone number, and said his painter just had a baby so he'd let me know. And that was the last time I heard from Frankie. I sent Frankie a photo of the rims as a gentle reminder that I was hoping to hear from him, but he didn't respond. I then asked Frankie via text a question asking him if I had done or said something to offend him, reminding him we had not spoken in over a year (to clarify to him why I was so perplexed by the way he was now failing to communicate with me.) He completely ignored that text, too. My problem isn't that Frankie couldn't or didn't want to help me. My problem is the way I was treated, and the way this business owner with decades of experience decided to disrespectfully and blatantly ignore my sincere inquiries and needs, instead of simply communicating to me that he was no longer able to help me, or he could no longer provide the service he had so graciously helped me with over a year ago when I first came to him for an estimate on the paint job on my rims. The way Frankie handled my inquiry this time was rude, disrespectful, immature and wholly uncalled for. It was a stark contrast to the way he warmly and happily agreed to help me with painting my rims over a year ago. And this experience reminded me about my first experience with Dura Glo about 15 years ago, when I paid to have my 1997 4Runner restored "like new", and was given a car that still had dents in it, and with a blurry paint job. The paint on the hood was nice like a mirror, but the rest of the car paint looked quite dull, blurry. Frankie cussed at me when I went back to ask him to give me a "like new" auto restoration as he had advertised, so I then told him to give me what he had sold me, or I'd have to take him to small claims court. So he then kept my car for another week to do what should've been done the first time he had my car, without cussing at me or without the threat of small claims court looming over his business. I thought Frankie had matured. Looks like I was wrong. No more Dura Glo. read more

Well, I did it again. I was introduced to Frankie and Dura-Glo four years ago when someone ran into me. Couldn't believe what an amazing job he did! then someone hit my son's car so I went to Frankie and again it was perfect!!! Now this time I ran into a fence post which was all my fault. Brought a car in to see Frankie. He had little to no communication with me. I had to call the shop just to get him to respond since he does not believe in texting back. Why give your number to customers if you are just going to ignore them? When I dropped the car off, he assured me it was just an alignment that needed to be done. There was a popped tired that he also promised he would be replacing it with a brand new one. This did not happen. He had my car in his shop for 5 weeks. He ended up damaging my windshield while it was in his care, he has offered nothing to correct HIS mistakes and then he lied about getting a new tire, and just attempted a shoddy patch job on the old tire that was clean ripped through. He re-used a tire that was beyond repair and he has since ghosted me when asking about my windshield. This place is awful and they will do anything to cut corners. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE! So let's start here from the beginning. When you approach people for any kind of work they will ALLWAYS be nice to u. They won't tell you they're being genuine or if they're about to lie and scheme u. Ull find out on your own. I was referred to Frankie from a friend after my accident. Nice guy. I wanted some kind of "in" when it came to the body shop because they are all notorious for beating the crap out of cars and lying. So I wanted at least a connection to the shop that fixed it so at the very least I'd be taken care of from a mutual friend to another. Frankie fixed the car yes. He did do that much. The insurance payed him out too so there's really no excuses for anything. Originally I only left it there because he said 2 week turnaround. Even if it were a month I'd still been ok with that. I told him take as long as u need I just want it as perfect as possible. To which Frankie agreed. So no pressure. Just do a good job. Well, a month later I went down there on my own because I had not heard a thing.. When I got there first off it was inside yes but sitting right next to the paint booth WITH the window down and some guys sunglasses on my dashboard. I was pissed. Not smart. Thus, the reason for the overspray on the plexi over the odometer and on the center dash console. But that wasn't my biggest concern. I was in an accident where I got hit on the left side corner rear. But when I saw the car not only was it just sitting next to paint booth with the window down but NOTHING had been done. Most alarming there was a huge basketball size dent now on the complete opposite side rear quarter panel where I hadn't gotten hit. And a huge dent on the railing that goes over the driver side window. When I frantically asked what had happened they said "oh it's covered the adjuster covered that too!" I said Frankie I never was hit on the right side. He says well they just threw that in they thought it was part of the accident !! So that will get fixed too! At that point it was obvious what they do. Regardless of if your a referral from a friend or who u are it make no difference to them. They beat the crap out of the car before the adjuster got there so they got paid out more. They had caused the additional damage on purpose to get paid a bigger check. Great thanx Frankie. Now the opposite side of my car is loosing the factory color now too because of your greed and dishonesty. I had to go along with it. They had my car. So I waited. 3 or 4 MORE MONTHS, before it was finally done I think I counted about 5 months total. By the time it was done I didn't care as long it looked like I could drive it away I just wanted it out of Duraglow's shop. Which is scarey. Because most people are nieve if they did that to me then they're doing it to ALL the cars. SO, the perfect job id asked for in exchange for no time pressure, from one friend to another, didn't exactly happen at the end of the day. They fixed it, yes. But they lied and schemed the insurance at my cars expense, and beat the crap out of the car to my standards when I got it back. Again, overspray till this day inside the car, multiple areas of additional damaged they caused therefore meaning they had to repaint more of the car, which is orange peely on one side. The wheel that was in the accident was just refurbished and reused along with either a used or retreaded tire. The bumper stuck out on the corners on both sides and was a used bumper they got from either a junk yard or used parts store and the paint job was terrible. But at least it sits low. But because they didn't set the bumper right it flexed and cracked the terrible paint job. There's allways been a really annoying knocking sound on that left rear suspension ever since. Like they couldn't just fix that at least before they gave it back. They scratched the truck lid, chipped the trunk lid, chipped their own paint job on the very corner of the quarter panel, dented the front quarter panel about quarter size, scratched and chipped the brand new grill I had bought right before the accident, scratched the driver headlight badly (I had to replace it it was so annoying), and scratched and chipped the hood pretty bad. And oh, btw, Frankie had promised me beforehand ALL new oem parts for the rebuild. There was some suspension parts they reused as well to rebuild the left side rear suspension. THESE PARTS HAD BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT!!! Are you serious??!! So again, don't allways trust people just because u have mutual friends and I never took it back because even though I'm sure Frankie might've said ok we'll fix everything, how long would that have taken? And what else where they going to damage in that amount time again? So did Duraglow fix it? Yes. It's about a C-. Was it what Frankie and I discussed? Absolutely not. And I love that car too it's my baby. Imagine someone treating your baby like that. Very frustrating. read more

I don't normally write reviews unless its something so spectacularly good (or bad). This was spectacularly good! My Acura MDX had bad UV damage from the sun. I had a "paint & appearance protection" warranty that I'd purchased on the car and they told me to get some estimates. Of the estimates, they approved Dura-Glo for many reasons, not just price (they weren't the cheapest nor the priciest). This already is a good sign as reputation also came into play. Every aspect of my experience was positive and pleasant. Isidro was professional, welcoming and extremely thorough. While my car was in the shop, he helped me with a discounted car rental and provided transportation to the rental place. When my car work was finished, I couldn't believe the appearance! I knew in advance that it would look good, but it actually looked better than when I first bought it (yes, it turns out that really was the case)! Isidro actually bent over backwards to ensure that I was not only happy with their work, but also with the price, and some of the 'extras' thrown in along with the work! I could not be happier... it felt just as good driving the car now as it did when I first purchased it! The worst experience I've ever had with an auto shop. I went to them for a total loss claim after they came recommended to me from a friend. This ended but being a traumatic, expensive, and overall gut wrenching experience. The insurance company later told me "your body shop was some of the worst communicators we've ever experienced and came off extremely shady so we delayed your case and gave you a hard time" Not only did they botch my entire insurance claim, they charged me $3K to get the car off the lot, and offered me $12K for a car that I ended up getting $25K for barely trying. Late Monday afternoon Frank gave me a very competitive bid. By Tuesday they were accumulating the parts and materials, and starting to process and paint sections. By Thursday, I brought my car back, and in a matter of hours they installed all the parts, and finished all the repairs. All through the process, they were very professional, courteous and efficient.
