This is long overdue. I came here from a recommendation of friend's mother. I have a 2011 Nissan Rogue with over 180k miles on it. I know at some point it'll run its course but the price of new cars is too much. So I'll have to keep fixing my car. In February 2023 I heard this throttle or cranking when I brake. Took to a repair shop and guy can figure out what's wrong. One shop even told me it could be the transmission. I called Victory and spoke with Greg (owner) made an appointment to drive the car to Van Nuys. He drove my car as I waited at his office and when he came he said I need new brakes. He went to his computer and then he gave the estimate and I agreed for him to do the job. December 2024 I hear a grinding sound on the right side of my car. I called Greg and I drove to his shop. He drove my car and came back and said it's the wheel bearing. He gave me an estimate and I had him do the job. Feb 6 2026 my car will not start after a few tries of trying to crank it, my husband said it wasn't a battery issue. I called Greg and he said to have the car towed to his shop and it'll take about 2-3 hours to see what's wrong with it (he works on a lot cars on a daily basis). I called AAA and had my car towed to Victory. I called Greg around 3 pm and he said there's nothing wrong with my car he drove it around and every time he stops the car and the car starts again. We drove to pick up the car and this is simply astonishing Greg did not let me pay for any diagnostic to check my car. It's rare any business gives free service these days. Greg is simply reliable and honest mechanic/ auto shop I've been to even driving from SCV to make sure that my car is take care of!! read more

The saga of my horrible car continues... After getting my tires changed my "check engine" light decides to go on. Firestone says that just a diagnostic of the problem costs $100, but because it happened so close to the time of the tire change (and thus looks shady), they will do it for $50. Honda dealership also said $100 just for diagnostic. I came here based on a family friend's recommendation. Without even talking about price, the mechanic took out a little machine and within 3 minutes diagnosed the problem. I left my car there overnight and got it back the next day all fixed. The price was very reasonable (especially since I was waived the diagnostic fee) and the car has been working just fine. I'll let you know if anything else goes wrong, but it looks like I may have found a new mechanic read more

I had been concerned about driving my car because I could hear the knocking and clinking noises from my wheels. I had kept getting outrageous quotes from so many auto services, but when I called Victory Auto Service, Greg provided me with a very reasonable quote and took care of my car right away. In fact, he even fixed something that nobody else could ever figure out in the past, I didn't even tell him about because I just figured it wasn't fixable but when he test drove my car, he heard a sound coming from my rear brakes and he was able to fix it! Felt like my mom was taken advantage of when she came home in the afternoon excited she had a "fixed" tire that was flat the next morning. Turns out the tire they sold us for $50 already had 3 patches on it and his bright idea was to put another patch. We just left And found a much better tire for $25 dollars less. Lankershim and Archwood. El Camino Used tires for $35 bucks. they also water test the tire in front of you. Victory Auto Service center was not worth the price or experience. read more

I took my car to Victory the other day cause the water pump went out in my car. I called them for an estimate and they said it would be finished the same day. the qutoe was resaonable and the work was completed before 3pm. They called twice to say I needed a new belt and a new cap. I was glad they called before just adding something on to the bill. I really did need the belt and cap, they showed me the parts when they were done. also that was nice they showed me the old parts to verify they did the work. some shops dont do that. I will be taking my car here again if needed. good prices, honest people, fast work and done right. read more

Greg has to be one of the sweetest mechanics I've ever met (trust me when I say I've had my fair share of bad experiences with mechanics). From the initial phone call I made to the moment I drove out of his driveway, Greg has been friendly, to the point, and HONEST. Basically, my engine was making a weird, whirring sound and would get worse any time I drove a little faster. Greg checked the car out and after a couple tests he said it was because of a defective belt on the water pump. He said it was a pretty quick fix and his quote for it was awesome. I left the car there and went to a cafe nearby. About 35 minutes later I got a call from him saying the car was ready. That was it. Problem fixed. My car hasn't made a sound since! What can I say, they did an excellent job on my truck and who doesn't love paying less than their quoted price. I came in with my check engine light on clueless as to what the issue may be. Greg fixed my truck in no time. Dropped it off on my way to work and it was ready waiting for me when I got out. The only tricky thing is I was initially approached by the shop located in the front and they had given me other information about my truck issues. Hello I took my 2001 Land Rover to this shop because it started overheating. The owner Greg told me he could do the work so I believed him. He told me it was going to cost a couple of thousand dollars to fix because it needed new head gaskets. He then said that he needed money upfront to start the work so I gave him $500 dollars. Two weeks later he said the car was ready and that I can pick it up so then he said that the fan was not coming on and that it would have to be replaced. Then he said that the water pump needed to be replaced also. After replacing all that it still was getting hot so then he said that the block must be cracked. That's when I found out that he never checked the block when he pulled the heads off and put new gaskets on. That's rule # 1 when you do a head gasket job on any car. I then called a buddy that has a lot of knowledge about these cars and he advised me to take it out of the shop and take it somewhere else after I told him that Greg wanted to put a sleeve in the motor or charge me $6000 to fix it. What a rip off this guy is and he has no clue what he is doing. We also realized that he broke a bracket that holds the tension pulley along with another item and he had no intentions on telling us that. He also never gave me a work order when he took the car in to do the work. I have now taken the land rover to another shop that is charging me much less for another motor. This guy is a complete rip off and I really don't think his mechanics are ASE certified. read more
