I am so impressed by my experience working with Jason. We were in contact for WEEKS trying to get an estimate for my car but I had to cancel and reschedule over and over again because of my kids getting sick , etc. He always tried to make it work and was flexible. He worked with me to do repairs within my budget and was the best estimate I got by hundreds from other shops. He even buffed out another little scratch I did without me asking. I was recently t-boned hard in an accident that ended up being over $8,000 in damages... I love my vehicle, and was definitely nervous about how it would end up after the entire right side was seriously damaged.. That said, I received my car back this week, and it looks BRAND NEW!!! It doesn't stop there though, the entire process working with Jason was nothing short of seamless. He never tried to over charge, he was informative and diligent in sharing information, and was beyond communicative in the process. This is such a frustrating review to write. The guys at 26 Auto Body did a great job with my repair (someone had hit my car overnight when it was parked on the street and severely dented the front bumper) - the repairs were less expensive than I'd expected or than I'd been quoted elsewhere, less intensive than I'd expected or than I'd been quoted elsewhere, and executed professionally. However. When I dropped the car off, the guy there had his mask so far below his nose I could see his upper lip. And when I returned to pick the car up, neither of the guys in the storefront had masks even on their persons, and when I told them I wasn't coming in until the put them on, the one who rang me up had it well below his nose yet again. It's been a YEAR, you guys. This is as basic as wearing your pants and literally covering your ass. Covid is still a massive problem. I just lost another old friend to it. And the ONE thing we've all been told works on a day-to-day basis is a combination of physical distancing and wearing masks. Literally. That's all you have to do. It's the bare minimum. It's as bare minimum as putting on pants before you leave the house. Except a lack of pants doesn't recklessly endanger your customers' lives. In the past, I think I would have had a great experience here. But it shouldn't be my job to babysit every merchant I have to deal with. Do better. Take care of your customers. Give a damn about people's health and safety. And if you can't, or just selfishly WON'T, then I cannot in good conscious say I had a good experience here. The repair was done well and pretty quickly (only two days), so I won't one-star this, but I truly regret that my money went to this facility. read more

So someone hit my company car yesterday and I was desperate to get it fixed so I didn't have to go through their insurance. I had sent a friend here months ago when someone hit and ran his car. My first experience seeking the services of an auto body shop...and it went flawlessly. My year-old Prius C took a T-Bone hit to the passenger side after an SUV tried to beat her across to the other side of an extremely busy street in LA rush hour traffic. The passenger door wouldn't even open from the inside or outside due to the impact. I currently drive for a living, so I needed to get her back on the road as soon as possible. I researched many shops on Yelp/online for a few days following the accident and visited multiple shops around the valley to get a feel for them in person (very important to do...don't rely on "stars" and reviews alone). They were all rated 5-stars, and 26 Auto Body was the only one I felt completely comfortable trusting with my car. I know appearance isn't everything and shouldn't be the ultimate deciding factor in selecting a business for services, but it definitely doesn't hurt, and I had to mention that both the inside and outside of 26 Auto Body is spotlessly clean. From the first initial phone call I made to arrange a quote/evaluation, ultimately leading up to the amazing day when I picked her up three weeks later, Jason was spectacular, professional and kind. All quotes regarding estimates and time frame were honest. He treated me with absolute respect, gave me weekly updates about my car's progress, and answered all my questions, no matter how silly or obvious I felt they might be at times. It was my first major accident, so I had to figure it out step by step. He teamed up with my insurance company (State Farm), and the process went very smoothly. (There was another gentleman that was always with Jason on the premises, and I'm sorry I didn't catch his name, but wanted to acknowledge that he was fantastic as well. Thank you.) When I finally picked her up, she looked as if she had just been driven off the dealership lot. I was amazed with their work. After getting several quotes from auto body shops around the SF Valley, I decided to get one last quote from 26 Auto Body. You kinda have to because...shoot...they have a 5 star rating and over 100 reviews! I'm extremely glad that I did. Jason and his staff did an excellent job at getting me a fair quote, describing the damage and work that would be needed to repair it, and delivering in the time frame that was estimated. Where 26 Auto Body really excelled was in pricing. This was an elective repair on my vehicle and with El Nino fast approaching I didn't want any further damage to my vehicle due to the elements. Jason understood where I was coming from financially and worked with my budget. If you have ever had to pay out of pocket for body repairs you know how quickly the price can escalate. Had a little oops with a car that backed out of a diagonal parking lot space without looking . . . into my Rt Front at the bumper corner. Fortunately, the damage consisted of a few scratches and the plastic bumper cover being knocked out of alignment, so to speak. Young owner Jason found that there was no underlying damage, and since I didn't feel the need to fix the scratches, he asked one of the techs to put the bumper back where it belonged. The charge was minimal and there was neither pressure for the upsell nor attitude because I chose to simply have the bumper put back where it belonged. All very fortunate for the gal whose car struck mine. While there, I noticed many vehicles in various stages of repair, with the techs all seemingly doing a fine job. The shop vibe was good and positive, and I felt absolutely comfortable there. I will not hesitate to return IF the need for real body work occurs. Cool shop, Jason! All the best from this satisfied customer. Note that it has been a challenge entering the shop for several months. The car wash fronting the street is torn up for a re-do, fencing off all but a tiny sliver of an entrance to 26 Auto Body from Sepulveda. Ok, this is LONG overdue. (sorry guys) Last year I came in with my passenger side mirror broken off. (10 cars on my black were vandalized) My car is new and I am distraught and frantically calling 20 different places getting quotes. Just got off the phone with a nice gentleman that gave me an honest quote. I had previously called a different shop "auto aid" and they quoted me at $108 (labor for 1hour) to install my brake light socket (it had corroded). I had purchased the socket online for very cheap $6, and then actually .....replaced it myself. Easy fix. Took less than ten minutes. These guys told me they would most likely be able to just replace it for me, at no cost, but... At most $20. And I would have given them $20 in any case. Honest workers here. I decided to go with 26 Auto Body rather than the VW suggested auto body shop because of the great Yelp reviews. I am very happy with that decision. Jason's customer service is the best. He worked with my insurance to get everything taken care of quickly. He explained the process, and gave me a realistic finish date that he actually stuck to. Everything only took one week, which exceeded my expectations. He kept me informed throughout the process calling me with updates. When I picked up my car, it looked better than before I was hit, the new bumper was a perfect match. Jason and everyone else at 26 Auto Body seriously do some amazing work. I noticed I had some gnarly scratches on the side of a car I was borrowing. Not sure how they got there, but I sure wasn't going to be held responsible for them. I tried using scratch remover, buffing it, waxing it... nothing worked. I was getting a little worried at this point, so I knew I had to get to a body shop. I got onto Yelp to search for a body shop. I called the shop that was the highest rated (turns out they were only ranked higher than 26 Auto Shop because of how close it was to me), and without knowing too much about the damage, they quoted about $500. I hung up and called 26 Auto instead. They said to send the owner Jason a text with some pictures of the damage, and that he would get back to me with a quote. I did that, and not ten minutes later, I got a call. He gave me an awesome price, and said to meet him at the shop. When I got to the shop, I was greeted by the receptionist (I forget her name, but she was very nice). The shop itself is super clean, air conditioned, and comfortable. Jason appeared shortly after and we both took a look at the scratches together. They were a little deeper than the photos showed, so he had to re-quote the repair. That said, it was still super cheap. I wasn't at the shop too long (less than an hour) before I got the car back. It looked brand new. The scratches were gone, and they even removed some tree sap on the roof. I even got to see some of the work they had done on some other cars. It's unbelievable how much quality they put into their work, they really all looked brand new. By and large, the best experience at an auto shop I've ever had. The prices are extremely fair, they are very honest about what work will need to get done (and nothing more), and they are all incredibly friendly and polite.
