I paid extra for chips & salsa and received stale chips and a tiny thing of pico. There's a difference between pico and salsa! The wet burrito was so spicy it was inedible. My daughter suggested Durango Taco because she had a really good meal there. My friend also said the same thing. What they did not say was they went to the location on Flamingo. This one on Sunset and Decatur was NOT yummy. It was completely lacking seasoning and the chicken and asada were both dry and tasted off. The picture looks nice. The potato taco my friend said was a must try was also really flavorless except for the taste of greasy oil. The place was pretty busy with a steady stream of construction workers. This is my second time there. First time ordered a burrito added sour cream and Cheese. They forgot the sour cream not a huge deal because the burrito was amazing. Today I go and got a burrito again. I was told by the lady there that my order was ready I grab it and go without checking. Once I got back to my office, I realized it was not my order. So, I drive back, and the lady got an attitude because I Took the wrong order (She told me it was my order) she took no accountability for her mistake. I've seen several Durango Taco Shops around town so we finally decided to stop in. I know birria tacos are all the rage these days, so I had to try them. I also got a shrimp, carne asada, al pastor, and carnitas taco. Birria - the taco itself was good, but the consume was a bit bland. It definitely needed some salt. Shrimp - this taco was by far my favorite. I would say it was worth the price. Carne Asada - all around good taco. I enjoyed this. Al Pastor - I would say this was my second favorite taco. Loved the flavor. Carnitas - these were good, no complaints. All in all, a good meal. Would definitely go back to try the birria ramen. read more

This is a great little Taco Shop at Decatur and Sunset serving up delicious Mexican food. I had the fish tacos and the kids had queso birria fries. The portions were MASSIVE. We could have shared the fries and not finished. The prices were reasonable and there are daily specials. I'm definitely coming back to try the chili verde. read more

Never been to any Durango Taco shops before. I figured I'd try this new shop #7. Based on the menu, I thought I'd go with the Durango burrito with birria meat. Their condiment section has various salsas and carrots with onions. Service is slow. When I got the burrito, they thought it was for to go, not eat in. I was too hungry to complain. I sat down and just wolfed it down with a side of carrot slices. It was ok. Not great. Not bad. The birria meat was juicy and tender. Overall, three stars for a taco shop that's a notch above the Taco Bells of Mexican food chain. read more

Stopped by on a whim, I was super excited when I seen they had tamales. The tamales however did not deliver the type or taste and texture I was hoping for, I'd say 2.5/3 out of 5 on the cheese and jalapeño tamales. My boyfriend said the breakfast burrito was decent, the bean, cheese, rice, and sour cream burritos were the best thing we got. I love that they have a salsa bar. read more

I normally really love this place. The food is good and I used to go here often when I worked right around the corner. My issue came today when I placed a phone order and asked the person over then phone if they had a combo with 2 soft tacos. She said no, only one for 3 or 4 but she could just give me 2 soft tacos and a side aid rice and beans. I said fine. I went to pick up my order and noticed that they had lunch specials from 12-4 every day. I had arrived just after 1. They had a special for 2 soft tacos with rice and beans with a drink for $4 cheaper than my meal. I asked if I could just get that deal. She said no. I asked why didn't she mention that special on the phone and she just said "I forgot all about those lunch specials." I was truly a little annoyed but just purchased my items and left. Really put a damper on my experience since I was excited to be in the area in order to eat there again. It has been about 6-7 months since I've been there. This place can take all my money! The enchilada style tamales are absolutely amazing. The pork one was really good and had nice flavor, and comes with a red sauce. Usually pork is my favorite but the chicken one was what won me over- it was really good quality chicken, and the green sauce was absolutely phenomenal. Was there Today 1/22/23 at 3pm ordered carne asada nachos and menudo. Instead got regular nachos and a bowl of watered down menudo. When we asked if we can pay for asada to add to the nachos guy said he couldn't do it that the system didn't let him.We would have to pay for new nachos I told him the menudo was plain no flavor and was very clear he said that was the last they had left and that's how the owner makes it sorry nothing I can do. We spent almost 40 dollars just to be told we can't be helped seriously. If they were out of menudo they could've told me not add water to make it look like there was some left and never heard of a place that can't sell you meat alone we never asked for anything free we were willing to pay and got treated like crap. read more

The guacamole, sour cream, and toppings on top of the fries were good, but as I worked my way through the meat and fries, I was kind of disappointed to be greeted with so much liquid nacho cheese that it made all the way to the bottom. The fries were no longer crispy when I made my way to the bottom of the fries. Probably would not want to get fries here again. I may try other things on the menu. read more

I went to this place today 11/22/2022. I spent time looking for Birria tacos, planning the route to which was closer Sunset or Flamingo, searched the menu etc. Bottom line I was excited to go here, I drove 20 minutes. When I first went in I noticed the glass door was dirty and the tables were dirty too, but I tried to ignore that I really needed this to be a good spot. I ordered 2 #31's, I asked if they could put the cheese on the side the young lady said she could ask. I thought that was strange...I like to add my own cheese as I can't each too much. Anyway she asked and it was "approved". Then I went to the salsa bar, it had dried salsa on the counter, there was no green salsa, the onions were at the bottom...they looked old and translucent as if they had been frozen (not sure, but thats how they looked) and the cilantro was dry looking. I had to really look to make sure it wasn't dried parsley. I asked the young lady if they could replace everything looked old. Long story short is it took 15 minutes for them to bring it out. Myself and another lady patiently waited. Bottom line is the young lady in the WHITE TURBIN AND GLASSES PURPOSEFULLY took her time and made (primary me) wait as punishment for asking for fresh salsa and a clean area. The lady waiting with me asked me if she was just f***in with us. She did not know what happened before she arrived, but she did catch this girl's vibe. OWNERS: If it were not for her I would not be writing this review, I just would not return. I could tell. I watched her take her time, I knew what she was doing. I would go here not because of the food which is so so, but the service was absolutely awful. Bad Service and it wasn't clean. $28.18 wasted. Don't go, it's dirty. read more

This location is pretty close to my job. I go there like 3 times a week. I love it. The asada is great, the Al pastor is the best I've had anywhere. The store is always clean. The service is always good. The prices are really good too. This place isn't fancy, it's not supposed to be, but for what it is, it's really close to excellent.
