So when I think of tacos. I usually think of something small. Durango tacos surprisingly surprised me because I got 3 big fish tacos and they were delicious. It was my first time and the host explained the menus as well as took my dietary restrictions and offered me shrimp and fish options as well as chicken. The ambiance was nice and they have weekly specials as well. I would definitely go for the fish tacos again! read more

The taco shop near Durango High School is a pretty good spot if you want quick and filling food. The tacos, especially carne asada and birria, are flavorful and come in good portions for the price. My daughter suggested Durango Taco because she had a really good meal there. My friend also said the same thing. What they did not say was they went to the location on Flamingo. This one on Sunset and Decatur was NOT yummy. It was completely lacking seasoning and the chicken and asada were both dry and tasted off. The picture looks nice. The potato taco my friend said was a must try was also really flavorless except for the taste of greasy oil. The place was pretty busy with a steady stream of construction workers. The portion and price was good, but I wouldn't come back. The service was ok and it wasn't dirty inside. read more

This is my second time there. First time ordered a burrito added sour cream and Cheese. They forgot the sour cream not a huge deal because the burrito was amazing. Today I go and got a burrito again. I was told by the lady there that my order was ready I grab it and go without checking. Once I got back to my office, I realized it was not my order. So, I drive back, and the lady got an attitude because I Took the wrong order (She told me it was my order) she took no accountability for her mistake. I came in polite when I am the one who should be upset because not only did I have to be late back from lunch and waste my gas again but I understand humans are human and simple mistakes happen. I lost it after her attitude. I will not be going back to this place after that. read more

This is a great little Taco Shop at Decatur and Sunset serving up delicious Mexican food. I had the fish tacos and the kids had queso birria fries. The portions were MASSIVE. We could have shared the fries and not finished. The prices were reasonable and there are daily specials. I'm definitely coming back to try the chili verde. read more

I've seen several Durango Taco Shops around town so we finally decided to stop in. I know birria tacos are all the rage these days, so I had to try them. I also got a shrimp, carne asada, al pastor, and carnitas taco. Birria - the taco itself was good, but the consume was a bit bland. It definitely needed some salt. Shrimp - this taco was by far my favorite. I would say it was worth the price. Carne Asada - all around good taco. I enjoyed this. Al Pastor - I would say this was my second favorite taco. Loved the flavor. Carnitas - these were good, no complaints. All in all, a good meal. Would definitely go back to try the birria ramen. read more

Never been to any Durango Taco shops before. I figured I'd try this new shop #7. Based on the menu, I thought I'd go with the Durango burrito with birria meat. Their condiment section has various salsas and carrots with onions. Service is slow. When I got the burrito, they thought it was for to go, not eat in. I was too hungry to complain. I sat down and just wolfed it down with a side of carrot slices. It was ok. Not great. Not bad. The birria meat was juicy and tender. Overall, three stars for a taco shop that's a notch above the Taco Bells of Mexican food chain. read more

Stopped by on a whim, I was super excited when I seen they had tamales. The tamales however did not deliver the type or taste and texture I was hoping for, I'd say 2.5/3 out of 5 on the cheese and jalapeño tamales. My boyfriend said the breakfast burrito was decent, the bean, cheese, rice, and sour cream burritos were the best thing we got. I love that they have a salsa bar. read more

I normally really love this place. The food is good and I used to go here often when I worked right around the corner. My issue came today when I placed a phone order and asked the person over then phone if they had a combo with 2 soft tacos. She said no, only one for 3 or 4 but she could just give me 2 soft tacos and a side aid rice and beans. I said fine. I went to pick up my order and noticed that they had lunch specials from 12-4 every day. I had arrived just after 1. They had a special for 2 soft tacos with rice and beans with a drink for $4 cheaper than my meal. I asked if I could just get that deal. She said no. I asked why didn't she mention that special on the phone and she just said "I forgot all about those lunch specials." I was truly a little annoyed but just purchased my items and left. Really put a damper on my experience since I was excited to be in the area in order to eat there again. It has been about 6-7 months since I've been there. I may try the other location next time. read more

This place can take all my money! The enchilada style tamales are absolutely amazing. The pork one was really good and had nice flavor, and comes with a red sauce. Usually pork is my favorite but the chicken one was what won me over- it was really good quality chicken, and the green sauce was absolutely phenomenal. Such amazing flavor, and a perfect amount of spice. The side order of rice was fine but these enchiladas were truly craveable! read more

Was there Today 1/22/23 at 3pm ordered carne asada nachos and menudo. Instead got regular nachos and a bowl of watered down menudo. When we asked if we can pay for asada to add to the nachos guy said he couldn't do it that the system didn't let him.We would have to pay for new nachos I told him the menudo was plain no flavor and was very clear he said that was the last they had left and that's how the owner makes it sorry nothing I can do. We spent almost 40 dollars just to be told we can't be helped seriously. If they were out of menudo they could've told me not add water to make it look like there was some left and never heard of a place that can't sell you meat alone we never asked for anything free we were willing to pay and got treated like crap. read more

I really wanted to like this place. I kept looking at it on Uber eats, but saw the reviews here so I kept deciding not to. I did today and what a waste of 35.00!!!! The Mango/ pina drink was pure sugar The queso "birria" tacos were disgusting, the meat was like chewing gum! The torta wasn't even edible. Yeah, it's a no for me. If you're pregnant (especially) and craving good Mexican food, avoid this place at all costs. read more

Went here during lunch time on a Saturday. Had the carne asada fries. The guacamole, sour cream, and toppings on top of the fries were good, but as I worked my way through the meat and fries, I was kind of disappointed to be greeted with so much liquid nacho cheese that it made all the way to the bottom. The fries were no longer crispy when I made my way to the bottom of the fries. Probably would not want to get fries here again. I may try other things on the menu. read more

Service so horrible I didn't even order. Waited 7 minutes before someone came to the counter and that was after I was calling while being AT the counter. The lady came from the back once their phones started ringing and came out while still talking on her cellphone. Yelled talking about "we only got 3 tacos or 5. You can't order 1" . Do not go to this taco shop. The young girl there is absolutely rude and disrespectful. I did not even get my food. I wasted over $30. Instead of apologizing for getting my order wrong, she argued with me and said I ordered the wrong number. She was rude an unprofessional. She was completely mean and extremely rude. I went to this place today 11/22/2022. I spent time looking for Birria tacos, planning the route to which was closer Sunset or Flamingo, searched the menu etc. Bottom line I was excited to go here, I drove 20 minutes. When I first went in I noticed the glass door was dirty and the tables were dirty too, but I tried to ignore that I really needed this to be a good spot. I ordered 2 #31's, I asked if they could put the cheese on the side the young lady said she could ask. I thought that was strange...I like to add my own cheese as I can't each too much. Anyway she asked and it was "approved". Then I went to the salsa bar, it had dried salsa on the counter, there was no green salsa, the onions were at the bottom...they looked old and translucent as if they had been frozen (not sure, but thats how they looked) and the cilantro was dry looking. I had to really look to make sure it wasn't dried parsley. I asked the young lady if they could replace everything looked old. Long story short is it took 15 minutes for them to bring it out. Myself and another lady patiently waited. Bottom line is the young lady in the WHITE TURBIN AND GLASSES PURPOSEFULLY took her time and made (primary me) wait as punishment for asking for fresh salsa and a clean area. The lady waiting with me asked me if she was just f***in with us. She did not know what happened before she arrived, but she did catch this girl's vibe. OWNERS: If it were not for her I would not be writing this review, I just would not return. I could tell. I watched her take her time, I knew what she was doing. I would go here not because of the food which is so so, but the service was absolutely awful. Bad Service and it wasn't clean. $28.18 wasted. Don't go, it's dirty. read more

I tried the birria tacos and was disappointed. The sauce was like grease, with red dye. I'm giving it 3 stars because the tacos itself was good, without the birria. I ate my last taco without dipping it in the sauce, when usually, if the sauce is made right...I'd drink it straight, without the taco! read more

I drove 20 minutes because I saw the good reviews so I want to check it out myself because I love Mexican food and I order the Birria tacos with the sauce and don't ever get that there was nothing wrong with the tacos besides that there was a lot of cheese more than meat and then the sauce is just grease in water really it's no flavor it's just the juice from them probably boiling the beef NEVER AGAIN! read more

Went in after ordering and paying online at 8pm November 24th 2023, and the shop was closed! Other people were waiting in front of the store with the same issue and just as confused as I am. I called the other taco shops to see if I could contact any managers or owners but was told they don't have any information that can help me and no phone number I could call to request any sort of refund or help. read more

Both were very good and the sandwich came with slightly spicy tots. It was the perfect amount of food and the bar seating was comfortable. We've been here a few times but haven't been back in too many years. That'll change now and we'll be back sooner. Had a reservation in the afternoon on a Saturday and had a great time. We were met by our server Bianca and she was superb. I know she was very busy with the tables but managed to look after us well. With food, we had first got the bacon jam which has always been a must get at. It has such a unique flavor to it, but this time around was a little disappointing as it seems the cheese wasn't melted all the way which made it a little difficult to cut. The gochujang butter flavored oysters were really tasty but a bit expensive for three oysters. Then we had the French onion fingerlings. Then the potatoes were a little hard and wished there was more sauce on it as it was mostly potato in taste. Although, those were a bit disappointing, the short rib was cooked perfectly and we loved the sauce on top of it. Also really cool was the pep on pep flatbread. My personal favorite! We also had gotten the bourbon brownie bacon. It was ok, liked the bourbon ice cream, not that fond of the bacon. If you're a bacon lover, though, I'd highly recommend trying it out. Well, as always, I had a good time. These first couple of times I've went, they sure tasted better, but perhaps it was just an off day.

Bacon Nation slaps slices on just about everything but French toast, and even that can be topped with bacon butter and bacon-infused syrup. The build-your-own omelet is a worthy breakfast, stuffed with two veggies and two meats of your choice. Cheddar, diced onion, and two types of bacon inside three eggs was a winner. Be sure to get some thick bacon slices to go (mango habanero, maple glazed, honey-cured) - always nice to chew on during that nine hour Sunday evening drive back to SoCal. And unlike those anorexic slices that fast food places put on their burgers, you can actually taste this bacon. Open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., they serve lunch too and if you're in 'growling stomach mode', try the Boarrito but be forewarned - this is a pork-fest of a monstrosity that's not designed for consumption by weight watchers or thoroughbred jockeys. A large tortilla filled with ham, sausage, bacon crumbles, pulled pork, guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo is then wrapped on the outside with countless slices of more bacon, smothered with cheese sauce and sour cream...now I need to take a nap just thinking about digesting it. It's a massive meal and I feel like the waitress could have positioned me on all fours in front of a feeding trough in order to graze on it. Bacon Nation is located on the D's second floor inside a very clean and bright dining room with lots of booths, a counter, and an ultra-pleasant hostess named Angel. It was super filling and exactly what we needed to recharge. Service was a bit slow, and our bride-to-be didn't receive her food until several minutes after everyone else. We also waited quite a while for the check and were met with a little sass, which felt off. Overall, the food was great, but the service could definitely use some improvement.

My cousin found out about Therapy from TikTok and so I made reservations for today at 2:30pm in advance. We made sure to be on time matter of fact we arrived 30 mins in advance since we had to catch a cab and traffic seemed heavier today. Once we entered we were greeted immediately however we were taken upstairs 20 mins later from arrival (no big deal still before our reservations) but there were no available tables. I spied a table getting ready to leave on the first floor and asked if we could wait for it and the hostess happily agreed (thank you)!! Unlimited mimosa 10/10, music 10/10, our personal service 10/10 (she tried and I don't even think she was a server but was very friendly and accommodating) however customer service/wait times/morale 2/10 because I'm typing this right now and it's 3:39pm 11/16/24 and I just got my wings still waiting on my fries. Reservation made for 2:30pm made it at 2:00pm just now have wings no fries and my cousin still doesn't have her food at 3:40....and to Christopher I've read your replies and you're disgusting!!! So let me help you with your response...I'm NOT broke, I DON'T need anyone to sponsor or fund my activities when I'm on vacation...DO BETTER!!! However the lemon pepper wings and fries (second request first were cold) tasted delicious. Therapy has potential if the customer service from Chris was better and food arrived in a timely manner. Also witnessed multiple tables abandon their orders due to excessive wait time however ALL the staff is amazing!! Update: actually met Chris after our food came and he is a complete jerk in person too. Drugs are bad people! Save your money and eat elsewhere I will never support this establishment again.
