This place is not just worth the hype, it exceeds it. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was amazing. The birria eggrolls were crispy and full of flavor, bringing a fun fusion approach to a popular classic dish. The guacamole was refreshing and perfectly seasoned with warm, fresh tortillas chips on the side. The chilaquiles verdes with Tinga chicken were incredible! The rice was fluffy and the beans did not fall short. The My Mom's Tacos were LOADED with ground beef and toppings. And last but definitely not least, the horchata latte was perfectly balanced with the richness of the coffee and the sweetness of the horchata. 10/10 no notes The food came out incredibly quickly and our server, Anthony, was attentive, respectful, and friendly (ending each sentence with maam or sir). He checked on us very often and cleared our table quickly as needed. The interior of this restaurant is quite small but the decorations, music, and cute furniture made up for that. Overall, this place is amazing and I definitely recommend.
After driving back from California, the six of us stopped at Carolina's Mexican Kitchen for an early dinner. We had about a 20-minute wait for a table, which wasn't bad considering how popular the restaurant is. I would definitely recommend making a reservation if you can. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but it's warm, welcoming, and has a cozy atmosphere. The staff was friendly, and while we were waiting, another customer told us we had to try the birria eggrolls, saying they were absolutely amazing. They were right! We ordered the birria eggrolls along with several other dishes, and everything we tried was exceptional. The food was fresh, flavorful, and well worth the wait. It's easy to see why this place has such a great reputation. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area. If you're looking for delicious Mexican food with a cozy atmosphere, Carolina's Mexican Kitchen is absolutely worth a visit.
There seems to be a lot of buzz about this place. I saw it mentioned on ads on both Instagram and Facebook about this hidden gem for Mexican food. I had to check it out. It's not at all what I thought it might be. Feels like they may do more of a take out business than a sit down one. There are six small tables around a counter. When I came in I said I intended to stay and took a seat and was presented with a menu by the server. Simple and unpretentious Mexican food. Felt very homemade...for me that was both good and bad. Here you will pay for chips and salsa. I did...and it was probably my favorite thing I ate. The chips were fresh, really crispy, perfectly salty. The salsas...I had both the traditional and the hotter one...they were super tasty. I usually can tell what kind of place this is going to be by their chips and salsa and we were already off to a really good start. This place is mostly tacos, but there were chilaquiles, ceviche, and taquitos too. I opted for Mama's Taco. These were three crispy tacos with ground beef, lettuce, and cheese served with rice and beans. I'm not sure why I went for that option, but it was a good choice. Tacos were really crispy. Beef was well-seasoned and, really, tasted like I made them at home. Rice and beans were tasty. I prefer more creamy refried beans but these were more soupy, whole beans. Still tasty. Was it the best I've ever had? Probably not. I did enjoy it. I would go back...especially for the chips and salsa. I might try something not so safe next time. Maybe that's were I went wrong. Because it felt like I could make it at home, I think it didn't feel special enough...but that's on me for ordering something simple. Staff was super friendly and outgoing. Very attentive and accommodating. You can tell they love what they do.
So I rolled up with my old partner, my brother from another mother. Cool little spot in a strip mall. My partner overshot it and ended up having to do a u turn. Coming from the west traveling east it does come up quickly. When we walked in , after parking of course, it was a feast for the eyes. Lots of cool artwork and trinkets. Our server Flor came over immediately after we were instructed to seat ourselves by another young lady behind the counter. Gotta say we ordered food with 2 appetizers. The arrival of the the dishes was oddly displayed. Appetizers and mains coming out at the same time. Food wise,I had a plate with 3 crunchy tacos that were stuffed with various meats. The beans and rice side were good. Our waitress Flor was awesome, food and the ambience was chilling. I could see myself stopping in if I had a good taco craving vibe.
Came based off of their video on Instagram claiming to be #1 voted Mexican food in Las Vegas. Based off Yelp Reviews as of June 2026, they are #4 so don't get tricked like we did. We got the Birria tacos dish which had great flavors and the juice was great. We also got the Asada dish which was $24.95 but wasn't worth the price. Rice was bland and beans were bland as well. Asada meat didn't have a lot of seasoning which would have enjoyed more of flavors popped more heavily. We got the chips and salsa and nothing crazy with flavors. Jalapeño that came on the asada dish was spicy ha! Flor was our server and she was amazing. She continued to check in and provided great service and had a great attitude the entire visit. Overall location is good for parking and minimal tables so if you go during lunch/dinner rush, expect to wait for seating. I do like all the artwork on the walls and it gives a great vibe. Was a little odd to see WalMart delivery happening and groceries and milk were put on the floor right in the dining room area but when you need product, you have to make it happen I guess. Might be better options on the menu but even the guy behind our table was on the phone questioning the Camarones à la Diabla to someone and how it should have tasted. Not our business but consistent with flavors and being home made, just might want more seasoning to really enhance the dishes :)
I tried Carolina's Mexican Kitchen recently. The food was good and definitely more casual than upscale. I ordered the chicken tinga hard shell tacos -- shredded white meat in a smoky chipotle tomato sauce with beans,, cabbage, salsa, and cotija cheese. Flavorful and satisfying. A few things to know before you go: the space is very small, there are no fountain drinks (only canned sodas for about $3 each), and chips and salsa are an additional $6. Overall, solid tacos and a laid-back vibe, but the extras added up quickly.
Located off the 95/11 and Craig road, this cute little spot definitely has a lot of personality! From the second we walked in we felt welcomed and relaxed. They do have chips & salsa for a charge, but the chips are excellent and the salsa is yummy. We ordered birria egg rolls and our guests got Vegan enchiladas and tacos. Holy guacamole, the food is amazing and according to the owner, all made from scratch using family recipes. We will definitely be back to check out some of their other tasty treats!
Family owned quaint Mexican joint. they close at 8pm everyday. Plan to be there earlier for dinner. Or order to pick up :) Why we would go back: -food was fresh tasting and egg rolls are very good! Must try -kids under 4 eat free (see kids menu) -clean and pretty inside (beautiful murals and light fixtures) -food arrives quickly -staff were really kind and attentive -plenty of parkings available what was the downside: -price point seemed a bit on the higher side for a casual dinning.
I had the My Moms tacos and they were great, probably some of the best tacos I have had. I took them to go and had some chips on the side. Next time, i will skip the chips as the tacos were very filling. Only negative is that they have very limited seating so had to sit outside in 112 degrees for 20 minutes.
FREE PARKING NO ALCOHOL We stopped by on a Wednesday at 5:15PM. So glad we came when we did because by 6PM it started getting really busy! Overall dinner with an amazingly hungry 2 year old was perfect here - very family friendly casual ambiance. This is a great dining experience for a quick bite to eat. The menu was a little limited but the portions were hearty! Birria Eggrolls, Trio Tacos, Shrimp Tacos and Shrimp with Garlic Butter were enjoyed by all. Inside is bright with beautiful wall murals! Ellie was a fantastic server! Highly recommend and would definitely return again!
Freshly cooked and a step above normal counter service Mexican food. Great packaging for Togo orders and good quality ingredients. I had the Papa's Carne and my guests had Mana tacos and Chicken Tinga enchiladas. It was small inside and Togo was the best option for us. Would have liked a refried bean option but their house pinto beans were fine. Normal salsa was fresh and tasty. I would classify as a med-hot. Corn tortillas were heated correctly. To note, my carne asada was some of the better quality I've had. Very tender.
We went here on a Thursday afternoon for an early dinner. This place is very clean and we were told we could sit at any table that was open. Utensils and menus are already on the open tables. Their menu isn't too big as far as the amount of food that is listed on them. I settled on the Queso Birria Tacos and my friend had the Taco Trio. We also had the Birria Egg Rolls and Chips and Guacamole. The Birria Egg Rolls were delicious, packed full of Birria. It comes with consume which was ok tasting. My Queso Birria Tacos were good, along with the rice and beans. They weren't the best I ever had like I hear other people say but they were good. The tacos were full of meat. It's a good value. My friend enjoyed his tacos and said it wasn't the best he ever had either, but still decent. I would like to see them expand their menu and offer more entrees.

Yes! You want Carolina's! If you're looking for a delicious, creative, homemade, non-chain Mexican restaurant- this is the place to try. The service was really great, the ambiance is cute, and the food came out quickly. The only negative here is that it's a very small space, less than 10 tables (and several of them are for 2 people). Just be aware if you're planning on dining in during a busy time you might have to wait a while to be sat. Give Carolina's a go! We will be back. read more

We found this place just through a Google search - as we were looking for a good Mexican restaurant. Oh my gosh, what a great find! The staff was super friendly and attentive. The food? Let me start by saying I am a Mexican food fanatic, so I have been to many in the valley. Carolina's Kitchen certainly blew my top off. The horchata is always my go too drink, and holy shanoli!! Hats off to this creation, it didn't miss. I hear the coffee is spectacular, and I don't doubt it one bit. We ordered the guac/salsa and chips. Mom's tacos Quesobirria trio Birria eggrolls Plenty for a family of 4 to go around. Sitting at $100 The eggrolls by far were fulfilling and just super out of the box. Which I absolutely loved. Nothing truly lacked in my opinion. We were greeted when we came in, Ricky was very pleasant. You could tell he cared about customers. The dining area was fairly small, on which I'm told there are lines for this establishment depending on what time and day you come. I am not sure why we did not come sooner, but this will be one of our go to spots. Don't miss out! read more
Still great Mexican food. Each dish we have tried throughout the year has been so good. Place is not big but the wait is worth it. Love their tacos, birria, and plate dishes. Small little Mexican restaurant just the way I like em. This place has great service and excellent food. We started with chips and salsa and Birria egg rolls. The egg rolls were large and so tasty. This is something that everyone needs to order. Crispy and delicious. I ordered the spicy shrimp tacos and a side taco, "my mom's taco". They ordered enchiladas. Everything was very good but for me the standout was "my mom's taco". This thing was so good and what I'm looking for in a crunchy taco. Meat was seasoned the shell was crispy. What a great way to start off the New Year 2026 with lunch at Carolina's! This place never disappoints. The quality of the food is always consistent and fresh. We had the 3 Conchitos, Carne En Su Jugo, and the Taco Trio. My order in particular was the Taco Trio. I wanted a variety of the Chicken Tinga, Birria and "Mom's Meat" which is the seasoned and flavorful ground beef. So freaking good! For drinks we got the Horchata and I had the Cafecito de Olla. We also took home some dessert, key lime pie is always a favorite but this time they had pecan pie which opted for this time. Service is always friendly, fast and efficient. Everyone is always so welcoming. Carolina and Bobby are the best. Ricky took care of us today and did a great job. It's always a vibe with the Mexican music. Love the artwork in the restaurant. Carolina's Mexican Kitchen may be a small space, but the food is worth it. We came during a midweek dinner and it wasn't too busy and we were seated immediately. Food is flavorful and authentic. I ordered the Taco Trio plate and couldnt be happier with my choice. This plate is perfect if you're indecisive like me because it comes with 3 different hard shell tacos: moms taco, tinga taco, and papa's birria taco. My favorite was definitely Mom's taco with ground beef. My partner was hoping for carne asada tacos, but since those aren't offered on the menu, he ordered Papa's carne asada plate instead and still really enjoyed it. Service is quick and efficient from the moment we walked in. My favorite part is that kids under 4 eat free, which is such a thoughtful and family friendly touch. This is definitely a spot I'll be coming back to. read more
Great experience! A family friend told us about this place so we had to give it a try. Carolina and Bobby were so welcoming, friendly and attentive. I called ahead to see if there was a booth type seat for our little one's car seat. Bobby had the perfect set up for us when we arrived! I got the QuesoBirria Tacos and they were incredible. You can tell they use high quality ingredients and I love that they don't use seed oils. The women's restroom has a changing table in it which I highly appreciate! The soap in the restroom smells really good too. We arrived around 5pm on a Tuesday and it started getting packed around 5:45pm. You can tell people love this place. Carolina, Bobby and the entire staff were so attentive with each table and had great energy. We'll be back! read more

Small but mighty! This gem of a place is hidden in a complex with seating for 29 only. If you go at peak times - you will see people waiting outside for a table. Go on off-peak times to easily grab a table! Their menu consists of apps, tacos, enchiladas, chilaquiles and more. Chips and salsa are available as a paid appetizer item FYI. For lunch, we shared a taco plate (3) and added an extra taco. We were able to get 2 chicken and 2 ground beef. Wow - tacos are amazing! The chicken is temperature hot and juicy and it's topped with cabbage, Cotija cheese, and crema. I loved the chicken tinga! The shell is perfectly crispy and not oily. The ground beef taco also had a lot of great flavor. If I had to choose - chicken! But, you can't go wrong here! The plate had beans and rice. Wow! The beans were delicious! Stewed and full of flavor! The rice was also very good! Overall - I think this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Vegas! read more
My mom and I went for a quick dinner and we got lucky walking right in because everyone always tells us there is usually a wait here. I finally get why. My mom ordered the Birria plate and I got the Quesabirria tacos. Both were fantastic and tasted fresh. We started with horchata and guac and both were really good. My mom got the key lime pie togo bc we were stuffed. She loved it! One of the best parts though was seeing Carolina and her husband actually walk in and immediately start checking on tables and talking to everyone. I feel like I almost never see that anymore. It made us feel like family and they were both so kind. It was such a good experience and we cannot wait to go back soon. read more

We've been meaning to come here for months, and I'm so glad we finally made it--this is officially my new favorite lunch spot! Everything we ordered was spectacular. You have to order the birria egg rolls; they are a total must-have. They were perfectly crunchy, well-seasoned, and cheesy, and the accompanying consomé had the perfect depth of flavor. We also tried the chilaquiles and the trio tacos, and the 'moms taco' was hands-down our favorite. The service really rounded out the experience. The waitstaff was extremely friendly, attentive, and quick. The music was at a perfect level. We had such a fantastic time that we're already planning on bringing the rest of the family here. Came in a Friday night. There were a few open tables but we were put in the waiting list, which I understand so they can maintain an efficient service. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere is casual. The queso fundito was very good, yes there was oil on top but that's where the flavor was!! I mean it is chorizo. The birria eggrolls were fun. The rice and beans were mild and the love they were made with showed through. The chicken tinga in the taco and enchiladas was flavorful. The tortillas on the tacos were perfect. The birria consume was delicious but the birria meat itself was dry. We will be back to try other things at this cute restaurant. read more

First time here and the almost 5 star rating is definitely not hype. Dishes were well made, clean tasting, and delicious. Seed oil free and you can tell the difference. Made with love because you can tell it's nourishing and slow cooking. I am a fan and will wake up early in the morning just to beat the rush. read more

This place is amazing!!! The service was excellent and the place itself is super cute. We loved absolutely everything we ate and you can tell it's fresh and made to order. Absolutely everything comes packed with meat and cheese and the taste is incredible. The birria eggrolls were really good and we were really surprised. The queso birria tacos are easily some of the best tacos we've had in Vegas. The nachos were loaded with meat and the chips are corn tortilla and homemade and super crispy and well seasoned. Ok we finally made it. Came on a Wednesday around 2pm. No wait. Buy not empty. We are going to try the Beria, Mexican eggrolls, the case of Fanta, mom's tacos, and the queso tacos. Everyone was so nice as soon as I walked in. It was very quick and the food was so fresh. You can tell it's made with love. The beans/rice were a little different than what I'm used to but I loved it! I got the queso birria tacos 10/10. I'll have to try the trio next time. read more

I've been waiting to try Carolina's forever and finally made it! As advertised, everything is freshly made and the restaurant is small. Their food and service is well worth the wait. We loved everything we ordered. I would probably skip the Birria egg rolls next time just because they are so filling. If you are considering this restaurant, it will be the best dinner decision you've ever made. I love supporting local businesses and will be back. read more
Vegan options for a few of their dishes with a $3 up charge. The plates come with rice and beans but the rice is not vegan so we just got extra beans. (We were not told this when we ordered) They did not have their normal foods for the vegan substitution but found some vegan cream and cheese. They used beans for us instead of the vegan meats that they were out of so my tacos were mostly beans with a huge side of beans. I could have just gotten a side of beans and ate it with chips and salsa as the vegan cheese is tasteless. I do appreciate that they tried to accommodate us but the upcharge of $3 when you can't make the item is a bit much. My husband got the enchilada (vegan) which they again used beans then a large side f beans. He stated he would not get it again. We didn't actually get the item how they would borne made so it's hard to say. On the positive the Jamaica was not too sweet and my husband really liked it. The salsa is also excellent although I think the chips are a bit thick for my taste. If you are vegan call ahead to make sure they can accommodate you. read more
Every time is an amazing experience and we try to get something new each visit. Our new favorites: the Cremita de Coco...calling coconut lovers. It's like coconut water with sweetened condensed milk, topped with whip cream and coconut shavings. So light, refreshing, and perfectly not too sweet. We also came with our parents who got the Carne En Su Jugo and they said it was AMAZING! We tried the Birria Papitas and left so full! My husband and I shared it and couldn't even finish it. I will say it's a heavy dish with all those potatoes and meat! We love you Carolina's! read more

Amazing! We've visited Carolina's a few times and every single time the experience has been over the top. It's busy most times but the waiting isn't long. We are always greeted by every single employee and every time we visit they all make us feel like family. Everyone is really friendly and they're always patient every time we order. They also always check in on our tables to make sure we have everything we need. It's always a great vibe and you can tell Carolina cherishes and values her employees because they're always happy. Ignore the negative reviews. If they have something negative to say, chances are they started some drama or were disrespectful and did not deserve to be there. On to the food. One word: BEST! Seriously! I was never a fan of birria until I visited Carolinas. All other birria I tasted gave a pot roast feeling with some Mexican sauce. This birria is perfectly seasoned, tender, with high quality meat. Truly the best in Las Vegas hands down and the one and only place I'll recommend for anyone looking for birria. Their rice and beans are also one of the best I've had. We've ordered the tinga, birria, ground beef tacos. Don't sleep on their birria egg rolls because you won't find anything like it. Crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Seriously one of the best restaurants in town. Food is always hot, fresh, top quality, and a bust of flavor. Carolina wasn't lying when she said she cooks her food with love. Shot out to Roxy and Selene (sorry if I spelled that wrong). They are truly amazing and always welcome us back. Finally made it to Carolina's today just for the birria eggrolls. Wow they are super delicious! It's 3 per order. The size of them are decent.. Me personally think they should be bigger for the price point. I'll definitely get them again. I ended up getting the taco trio; seasoned ground beef, birria and a tinga chicken. The tinga was my favorite. It also comes with rice and beans. The restaurant was tiny but the vibe was good. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend Carolina's. read more

Yes! I only eat flour tortillas, and I've never had an issue when asking for them

We do have gluten free options as well as pescatarian, vegetarian & vegan options as well.
What kind of oil is used to fry the chips? Vegetable oil or Manteca?
We do not use manteca on any dishes. We fry with canola/olive mix
