This is the BEST burrito I have ever had in my life. I flew into Vegas for a day to support a friend during her race and we came here to fuel up afterwards and all I have to say is WOW. My wife and I continue our search for a good wet chile verde burrito. We saw good reviews on Sayulitas and thought we would give it a try. We got a Super Burrito with carnitas. It was almost $24 but it was huge. We are not high volume eaters so we cut it in half then cut into quarters. We are the quarters and took the rest home for the next day. Sayulitas is not a typical Mexican restaurant. They specialize in monster burritos and really out there preparation including a completely bacon wrapped burrito. While we were eating there was a loop video up on the TV screen showing the preparation of some of there designed burritos. The video loop was quite entertaining. I should mention that they are expanding so their limited seating will no longer be a problem. Now, let me talk about the food. The burrito was very good. It was not the wet burrito we were hoping to find but that's OK, it was still a very good burrito. Immediately I tasted the carnitas which was juicy and tender. In fact it was 10 out of ten. I think next time I go there I will just have carnitas tacos. They should be fabulous. The only negative was the mild red salsa. It would have been exceptional except for the mild red salsa. With my first taste it was dominated by garlic. I had my "garlic sensitive" wife try it and she agreed: garlic. I know that garlic is used in some Mexican cooking but I've never tasted it that strong. If they drop the garlic it would be a very good salsa. I recommend they try the salsa from Cuevas Market on Boulder highway to get a feel for what it should be like. Sayulitas is not a typical Mexican restaurant. Go there to try something highly unusual and very different and take a group as the burritos can be huge. Seriously, their Big Ass Burrito feeds 6-8 for a little over $100. It's an experience. I came to see Alberto's tonight with my family and we all thought it was pretty good. It was our first time is right up on the strip in Las Vegas. We also had three shrimp tacos and one order one order was also two shrimp tacos, and a fish taco. What type of fish was in the fish taco and they told us it was tilapia so I backed up of course. It was bustling in this joint people were coming in and out. We ate there and we are split two tables between the five of us and it was nice in there. Lots of colorful TV pictures and photos on the wall. It was clean easily accessible. We parked right in front and got a chance to come in order after we order a huge line for while we were eating so we seems like we got there just in time. . It also look like some of the members in our group were not able to finish those giant circus burritos maybe cause you have so many chips and salsa at first, but it's OK. Huge and tasty burrito for a great price. My boyfriend and I shared the bacon wrapped burrito ($22.76) and it was delicious. The bacon was fried beautifully and broke off nicely with every bite. There is a little section in the restaurant to pick up sauces but honestly the burrito itself was already delicious. We got a fountain drink ($5.16). I really really wanted the ube horchata but I was told it's not at this location. Oh well, gonna have to hit up the next one. When we came, it took them around 30 minutes to get us our order, but the wait was so worth it. I ordered the Sayulitas burrito and it may or may not have been the best burrito I've ever had. I love how creamy and watery it was as the chipotle sauce and the avocado gave it so much flavor and texture. The shrimp was also incredibly tender and they filled up the burrito with this. I also love that they had 6+ different salsas for you to try, although I think you didn't need them to get through the burrito.
