I found Durocher on Yelp when I was looking up florists near the Springfield area. I was attempting to buy a bouquet for my mother who was undergoing surgery, and with my brother in tow, rushed to make the drive to this florist before their closing time. We arrived with all of 5 minutes to spare, thanks mostly to the traffic back up due to bridge construction, and yet we were greeted with smiles and enthusiasm. The florist helped pick some flowers out of their back stash in order for us to create a beautiful loose arrangement. At no time did we feel rushed or unwelcome, which could easily have been the case due to our late arrival. If I am ever in that area again and in need of some beautiful fresh flowers, this is absolutely where I will go. read more

My family and myself have been going here my entire life so when deciding where to go for my wedding was an easy choice! I stopped in with my mom to gather some information and ideas and they were less than helpful & quite rude. First a woman took down some i formation to pass of to Heather who would speak to us . Heather came over clearly did not read the information taken down by the first woman and to make it short they have beautiful flowers and always have . After this visit which was less than 10 mins long i will not ever spend my money or recommend anyone to go there if they need assistance,suggestions or just want friendly service! Durocher Florist did the flowers for our daughter's wedding. I can't say enough about them!! Heather was thoughtful, creative, and a pleasure to work with. She recommended different flowers in order to get the look that our daughter was going for. In addition to all of this, the price was much less than I expected it to be, considering all of the flowers that were provided by Durocher. The bridal bouquet, boutonnieres, chapel arrangements, the reception flowers were just stunning! We received so many compliments on the flowers and they really made the wedding special. Their website was a huge turn-off for me. It breaks down what they think the bride's family should pay for (basically everything) and what the groom's family should pay for. Aren't the days of dowries over? There are lots of unique financial circumstances that couples and families have...if you're old-fashioned and want to do it this way, then you probably know that without the website reference, and if you're not, then this is presumptuous and over-stepping, in my opinion. Not to mention -- way too heteronormative. Same-sex couples face enough discrimination in our society and I can't support a florist that perpetuates that. I read all the great reviews however mine was just the opposite!! The arrangement looked like a eight year old put it together. The picture on Teleflora was not even close. The description was the flowers were to be all around. No flowers were put in the back at all. So there was only flowers in the front of this arrangement. This was an $80.00 arrangement that I had to go to Stop and Shop and buy roses and some baby's breath to fix the mess. There was only ugly xmas ferns and roses. It was supposed to have green Oregonia and Pittosporum not ugly tree ferns. This was a 30 year Anniversary!! Wish I could attach pictures. And the florist (Heather) would not fix because I was told they only made $48.00 off this order thru Teleflora. So very disappointed!!! Very poor customer service. I went in looking to spend around $300 and left buying nothing and will never spend money in there again. I hired Durocher Florist for my August wedding at the Log Cabin. I worked directly with Heather, and had the BEST experience. I personally do not know much about flowers, and told Heather the colors that I would like to have incorporated. She showed me some photos of past events she did, and I loved her work, so I trusted her judgement!! When I walked into my bridal suite the day of my wedding, I was almost in tears when I saw my flowers (tears of joy!!). They we SO beautiful and so much more than I could have ever imagined!! When I saw my centerpieces on the tables, I felt the same kind of joy. I really can't say enough about them and their service. Their pricing was really good, too!!!!! When my brother was suddenly hospitalized last year just before Christmas, I tried to find a florist to send him a Christmas tree. I had no luck until I called Durocher's. The woman I spoke to was so kind. She made sure the hospital would allow it in the cardiac unit. My brother was so pleased with the tree. He said it brightened the room and his day.
